I really like what you did with the siegebreaker using the calth-terminator lord, it really shows what you can do with it, with really basic methods, whilst still changeing the look enough to make it unique.
I can imagine, and still it took me a couple of seconds to realize what model it was based on, and I have twins, the bunny ears and ribbons really change the look alot for the better
this is exactly the inspiration i needed for my Emperors Children force! do you have any suggestions? so far ive got some Contemptors, a Leviathan, 10 Pheonix Guard, 10 Palatine Blades and a heavy weapons squad with lascannons (sunkillers) Other than tactical squads and Kakophoni, what else is there to make this force as perfect as the Phoenician himself?
If we're looking to start from scratch and build to a massive force like yours, what would you recommend the structure to look like? Did you build, say, 3-5 3000 point lists that came out to 10000 points in the end all together? Or did you want to collect certain models and it just became 10000 points after you bought everything? Did you set out to buy all of this or did it grow organically?
The shutter speed was set too low. It should be at least double the frame rate, so 1/50 at 25fps for example. It looks like 1/4 of a second here. When using auto exposure you should avoid having too much black in the frame as it confuses the camera. It creates artificial darkness and the camera doesn't know any better.
So apply a dark general spray in the area, as the dull light, and slowly lighten it and condense the area you apply it to, aka a big ring of paint, a smaller brighter one within that, a smaller and brighter one within that. Then use a brush and light paint to pick out the edges and points the light hits strongest.
Well, when it comes to beer, I am a big fan of the Corona types of beer, something with a twist. But to be fair I mostly drink scotch nowadays, with Glenmorangie Quinta Ruben being my poison of choice.
nice army but too often out of focus and blurred (expecially since you never keep the minis still) and way too bright. sure, you could have adjusted the camera but... who cares, right? in other words, I think the army looks good, but I can't really see it because the video quality is crap. too bad
The two calth boxes and upgrades I got back when Calth released, that was about $700. Then the tanks and dreads, probably another $500, Mastodon was $500, uh, yeah you get the picture. Probably between $2-3k.

An average of one unit or vehicle per evening is my speed. So 3 Domitar is 3 hours (1 construction, 2 paint)

I figured but I couldn't be bothered changing the settings because normally I film at night, not at lunchtime!

It's a metallic base-coat with Tamiya 'clear red' over the top.
