Glenn Weyant: Music Of The U.S. / Mexico Border

Glenn Weyant appears briefly in Steve Elkins' feature documentary THE REACH OF RESONANCE transforming the U.S. / Mexico border wall into a giant musical instrument. In this clip of previously unreleased footage shot during production of the film in 2008, Glenn shares more stories from his experiences at the border with other artists reimagining how to repurpose the wall into a bridge of communion between the people it divides.
The music in this video was written by Paola Prestini, a composer from the Mexican border town of Nogales where some of the footage was filmed. The brief guitar piece at the end was improvised and performed by Jim McAuley and Ken Filiano.
