Thank you so much for information. I have a question is it true that the more the merrier in vaccination? Here in the Philippines they want to vaccinate dogs for atleast 4-5 times usiny 5in1 or 6in1. I think it's too much for puppies. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I have spitz puppy around of 50days age ... I got her first vaccineol on 31july of DP it cost me 1600 ... Then on 13 august her 2nd vaccine was put which was also DP it cost me 1600. Her 3rd vaccination is on 28aug .... Is it doctor vaccinating my dog correctly and my price is good or not

Is it required that dog will take a shot of "all deworming vaccine" first before the dog gets vaccinated for 5 in 1 and Anti Rabies?
What happens if we missed the 2 deworms and 2 vaccine sched. Of puppy? And whats the best thing to do? Hoping for ur response 🙏🙏🙏
They are given together. usually you can get a 5 in one or a combination of any of the vaccines. And when you lose the vax record you start again. So it's best to do it again if in doubt. Rabies is rare and usually it's distemper and parvo that does them in.
I have a question
1. Can vaccinated dogs be infected somehow, and not necessarily become sick but be carriers and infect other dogs?
2. Can those same maybe vaccinated dogs be carrier, and through us humans we 'carry' the virus and we can infect unvaccinated or not complete vaccinated dogs?
1. As per the research done in our lab, it was concluded that, the vaccinated pups shedding the vaccine virus strain (CPV-2 strain) in the faeces may be useful in providing herd immunity among dog population. But the healthy vaccinated pups shedding the field virus strain (CPV-2a strain) is an indication of local intestinal multiplication and they could be the source of CPV infection to other unvaccinated pups.
2.The humans cannot act as the carrier for this canine parvovirus, but they can transmit/carry through inanimate objects like shoes, cloths etc to unvaccinated pups and causes infection.

If the dogs are vaccinated and you said it is shed in their feces, that means the virus is inside them correct? But if they are already vaccinated, won't that be bsale to happen in the first palce?
Do they need it every year, or my vet is just trying to make money? I know rabies is required every year
They don’t need vaccines every year, do a blood test instead

Technically the 5 in 1 is only needed every 3 years, but it is common practice for vets to give it annually. I've never seen a vet give it every 3 years before.
And usually if a dog misses 1 or 2 of those annual 5 in 1s then the vet will restart the vaccination schedule due to the dog having less than optimal antibody numbers. So the dog will once again have to go through the initial and booster shots before returning to the annual schedule, which would be more expensive.
Also, vets are not in it for the money. The drugs that they use already cost a fortune - I worked at a wildlife vet and they used ketamin a lot. One dose costed R900+ and sometimes they'd need to use multiple on the same individual. Not to mention that they get paid 2-3× less than human doctors for the same procedure. It's probably the same for smallies vets.
And if they charge you more at this point, it's probably because of Eskom turning off their electricity (fridges etc don't work). They end up needing to invest in alternative power sources, which costs money.. If they don't then basic things like surgery etc. can't happen (anaesthetic machines, cauterizers etc don't work) and certain drugs and many vaccines denature thanks to the fridges not working. At least that's the case in South Africa. Can't speak for other countries.
