About Rowe Writes: • Introducing: Rowe Writ...
About this project: I am writing a weekly sci-fi story to the theme of Isaac Arthur’s SFIA videos. It’s a crazy challenging timeframe to create a good short story in, and to do so publicly is even more daunting. I’m just hoping some good stories come out of this, I have fun writing them, and most importantly, the audience enjoys!
Thanks for stopping by!

The understanding you seem to have is on par with the likes of Tom Clancy, ect... I've seen enough to spot a bad premise and yours are consistently solid or at least plausible. I really hope you get the exposure and distribution you deserve. I wish you the best.
@@johnnycampbell3422 Thanks, Johnny! I appreciate it. That's high praise, and though I've been studying fiction writing for a long time, I've only been publishing one here for two years. So I imagine two years into a lot of authors' publication histories is not generally filled with accolades and best-sellers. I have faith that if I write good stories they'll find their audience eventually. It's great to have the support in the early years, though 😃🙏
You're weekly stories and the live stream have become one of my creature comforts in life. Thank you so much!
Thanks, Pat! Always appreciate your supportive comments 🙏😃
Thanking you for another great story is like taking one day out in the week to go to church on a Sunday.
Not really necessary, but it kinda feels like the right thing to do!😅🙏
Cheers, Paul! 😂 It kinda feels like a weekly ritual to share for me. I definitely feel like something's missing when I take a week off from uploading 😃 I guess that means I know what to do now! Next!
“The Galaxy’s gift to The Cylinders”. 😁
“Thunder!”. 😂
Great story!
Cheers, Alistair! Sometimes Transom just gets into rare form and can't be stopped 😂
This series keeps on giving. Excellent. So consistently brilliant.
Cheers, Rob! Glad you're enjoying 🙏😃
I liked the part about the name Wind. Growing up in the 70s there were a lot of those names. In my 3rd grade class out of 30 kids, we had 3 Rainbows, 2 Sunshines, and one Squirrel.
Thank you for another great story, they always light up my day.
Thanks, Dan! Sometimes the Muse whispers some stuff in my ear I have no idea about. That was one that I was like, "Oh, obviously Burch's friend is named Wind." 😂 I never met a rainbow, but I do know a Sunshine. Plenty of squirrels around my way, but they're actual squirrels.
Most of those kids must've changed their names. Haven't heard any of those names. Picture Rainbow Williamson running the PR department of an insurance company.
The more stories you tell, the more I love these characters.
Thanks, Brian! I guess I'll keep going 😀
Oh boy, you play our emotions like a fiddle. You take us down, all deep and serious, and then you bring it back up with some levity to contrast. Love it.
Every good roller coaster has its ups and downs 😃🙏
Wow! I wait patiently, kind of, for a new Thursday submission and as is typically the case you definitely delivered a winner. Thanks loads.
Thanks, Ron! Glad you're enjoying 😃
Looking forward to the others history.
Thanks, Lady Ponfarr! Ren came in a pretty clear second in the poll, so there's a clear gap there that needs to be addressed at some point. She is a curious case 🤔😃
Thanks!
Thank you, Gerrit! Your support is much appreciated 🙏😃
I enjoyed this one. Gotta always enjoy Misfits stories.
😃Glad to hear it! They're fun to write!
Very nice work. How much of current war protest influenced it? I find my acceptance of wars is far less than it ever was when i was young. Partly because along the way I found out the legacy media is controlled by the huge private interest that run us. Including the Military Industries. And they lie for profits and power. Partlet because I've seen a lot more death So I tend to support war protest. Though i can't accept terrorism as a form of war protest. that would be crazy. So are you making some war protest statement or judgement. or just naturally influenced by current events. or is mostly coincidence.??? It was also a good understanding of being falsely accused , libeled . and the power of gossip Anyway I love the Misfit series. And your thought provoking stories.
As an old broke down veteran, well stated, delicately asked question for the author.
I'll add: I have developed an automatic distrust of every position the establishment/ news pushes.
Me too John, I rarely watch. I get most of my news from independent sources who go there, or who are experts in their field, and who are often whistle blowers, and who care more for the truth than wealth.
Cheers, MrIzzy. It'd be disingenuous to try and claim that the world we live in has no influence on the stories I write. However, and I mean this sincerely even though I know it sounds like a cop out, but I believe meaning is the domain of the reader to determine. The story should contain the elements the author chooses to include. To add commentary about what I intend it to mean is more or less an admission that I omitted something that should have been there. In the same way I don't get to tell a reader who thinks my work is shitty that the reader is wrong and it's actually good, I also don't think I get to intrude on the meaning making process. So, the long-winded novelists way of saying 🤔, unsatisfying that may be 🙏😃
@RoweLit thanks for the response on this. As an influential author, please know you are appreciated. I think I have mentioned before I am impressed with you work. Thank you. Wishing you the best.
@@RoweLit So THAT's how you make the sausage? ! ;) EWWW
❤
Best part of my week is your stories! Thank you!
Cheers, Keith! Glad you're enjoying 😀
They’re always too short. ❤
Well, Thursday does come around fast 😃
I'd have cracked really early when the pressure came on...ah shit...👍👍👍
Cheers, Michael! You never know until the pressure's on for real 😰😰😰
Thank you for the story
Cheers, Harry! 🙏😃
:) I see what you did there... Division is a tool used ruthlessly by those that seek control.
I love the Misfits. Thank you, P.
Cheers, Karl! Glad you're enjoying them 🙏😃
You have mostly good stories here. The world is changing into a more positive vibe...so uplifting ones are gaining popularity.
Thanks, Vince. I hope the world is going positive 😃 However, I think it might be paradoxical. I've noticed that in times of strife, at least in literary stories, escapism through positivity/happy stories increases. While the converse is true--good, stable, happy times yields sad/hard/tough literature. That's just my observation, though.
@@RoweLit It is paradoxical, and it is changing to be less so. People first see the fakeness, and then look for some hope. If you can help them with that, they will then have faith to continue. I heard one say, we can just pick positive...all the time. The negative will always be there but will become irrelevant!!!
@@vincesalzer9855 Thanks, Vince. I sure enjoy putting stories I think will have a positive impact into the world more than negative ones. I think what I'm talking about is more subconscious, though. In good times, people gravitate toward tough literature to help them gird their minds for the tough times inevitably coming. In tough times people don't need tough literature because life is tough enough, so they grab something hopeful to remind them of how good life can be. I'm talking more culturally than on an individual level--what is selling millions of copies, being adapted to films, winning awards, etc. This would be a pretty good social science experiment to see if I'm right. Just a theory. Personally, though, I'm with you. Hope over nihilism every day!
@@RoweLit Your scenario is right...until now...cuz no one is buying the lie anymore...so all that worked before...isn't. Be prepared.
Been waiting for this brother! 🤙
Cheers, Eedjit! Enjoy 😃
Great story , thanks
Thanks, David!
I love how I can picture your stories being filmed but know how unnecessary it is for that to happen. The story is told ether way but in my mind is so satisfying and economical. 😂❤
Thanks, Buddy! Maybe someday it will happen 🙏😃 Until that day, though, I'll keep writing them down and reading them ... oh, yeah, and after that day too 😂
Excellent as always.
Cheers, D Z!
Absolutely sensational. Thank you Rowe.
Cheers, Dave!
Okay stuff like that would have had me buckling like a cheap tent. I might underestimate my resolve though!
Cheers, Greg! If I didn't buckle it'd be for Burch's reasons. I just got really really pissed off 😂
Thank you for this. I love full filled-out characters. Your work is so utterly amazing.
Thank you for making MY life better.
Wow, thanks, StonyCreeker! It's a blessing to be able to share what I love best with other people 😃🙏
Thank You for another wonderful piece. Enjoyed listening and carried away while standing in a crammed morning train in Tokyo 😊
Cheers, Saulius! I always wondered on those train rides where people went in their own space. Shinkansen to Delta-Kei, please 😀
Another excellent story.
Thank you.
Thanks, B!
You write really good stories!! I look forward to each one. Thanks!!!
Thank you, David! Glad you're enjoying 😀
Wow! Just amazing! Well done Mr. Rowe!

Cheers, DVD! More today 😀
Transom😂😂😂😂 great story bro.
Thanks, David! He cracks me up sometimes when I'm writing 😂
Even in far distance space-future, cops lie to you and violate your rights. Sheesh!
*Fall out narrator voice* "Cops..... Cops never change...."
As much as I would love to live in the world where they didn't ever have to do this, I totally want cops who can trick the bad guys into stitching themselves up. I just don't want them to do it to innocent people. Trouble is, I'd imagine it's tough for them to tell who's who, sometimes.
And that's how honest naive teenage farmboys leave the rural communities that treat them poorly. They escape from the trap of the life of drudgery chosen for them, but then, they're: 1) never coming back to be as old, alone and broken just like you, 2) will be back as soon as we've won the war, just you see, or 3) take steroids, become a singing, dancing, army theatre recruiter, get frozen in a pod and have marvellous adventures.
Marvelous space adventures seems like a good option, Max 🚀🚀 Let's see if we can make it happen 🙏😃
@RoweLit Wait, what? We? There's no we! This is you dude! Or was that a royal we..? lol
@@maxjjackson No royalty in this humble office 😂 I was more thinking about the prospect of humanity turning space into the wild west for the next couple centuries🤠 I'd totally be working on that if I had any rocket skills. Can't wait for the asteroid gold rush 🚀🤑 We just need someone to build us a space elevator 🤔
@RoweLit I might know a guy. Ever been to Africa?
@@maxjjackson North or South? 😉
Epic work as normal 🎉🎉
Cheers, Famous!
Mark CEN CA 4815 I knew it😮
Thank you 👾
Cheers, MH 😀
This is one the CZcams channels, I mention to others. Fiction seems safer though in the cancel culture world nothing is completely safe. The real world also has war looming and I suspect how the future is going to play out within my limited horizon.
Thanks, Someone! I appreciate your spreading the word 🙏😃 Fiction has always been a vehicle for indirect cultural commentary, shall we say. But several Roman poets got ostracized for works that cut a little to close to the emperor's bones. It was all the good ones, btw 😂
💜🙏⚡

How do you feel about Gaza?
