Is it just me, or is it kinda creepy how excited they get over the new arrivals? I mean, I know why they're happy, and I know what they feel the arrivals should be happy for, but at the same time they're still happily awaiting mates who have just died.

I guess its more so just the fact they'll be reunited with loved ones theyve probs been separated from for years than being happy they kicked the bucket
It helps to look at the larger picture...from a living person's perspective death is a sad and fearful thing...but from the point of view of those in heaven,the death of a saved soul is really just a birth and the start of something new,of which will be eternal as well.
So...this takes place in 1996. The first movie takes place in 1939. Either heaven is a time warp or Itchy lived to be about 57 human years which is about 400 in dog years...
Or time works differently.
or the two movies aren't put in the same time as each other so the first movie ended and the second could simply just be the other side of the same coin

I didn’t know at the time too when I saw two movies of it as a kid. Perhaps kids at a young age never seen or know anything about old modern like the first film.
I was surprised how Charlie didn’t notice when he and itchy were back on earth and Charlie didn’t say anything about things have change since he was dead
1st dog died eating chocolates. 2nd one died biting a vacuum cleaner cord. 3rd one died chasing the mailman. 4th one was hit by a car & Itchy died eating chicken bones. Dark
And Charlie was murder by another dog in his doggie mafia. Very dark

Charlie: gave his life for a little girl, despite how desperately he wanted to live. This absolved him of his previous sins, especially of cheating death, allowing him the rare chance of accessing Heaven again.
Carface: double crosses Charlie, neglects a child, money laundering, hiring assassins, attempted murder.
Who's more distinguished again?
Charlie of course, but unfortunately this gives little to no attention of the first film, if this was made with different characters, it would have been much better
Yeah that was my favorite part too when Charlie gave his life to save the Anne Marie. That was some good 😌 character development. Cause I know in the beginning was kinda a self centered jerk, no better than Carface after exploiting the poor girl as well for his new casino. He also cares about his friends, like for instance feeding Flo and her pups. And I liked how the croc ate Carface, it was krama for his actions.
Besides the fact that Carface also cheated death at the very end of the first film to get even with the alligator that ate him.

Bare in mind that Gabriel is not human..he's an archangel and is likely charged with overseeing the heaven for dogs.
So let me get this straight. Itchy died from choking on a chicken leg? Why didn't the girl and her parents do anything or was it that stuck down there or he was alone at the time?
Naturally, yes.
Also since this takes place in 1996 and the first one takes place in 1939, Itchy had to be the oldest dog ever, living for about 60 human years, which is about 400 in doggy years.

3:47 love this movie . It’s a classic. But the one thing that alway seemed to annoy me was how conformist heaven is in this scene . Just because your dead doesn’t mean stop being an individual .
The nature of being good demands a degree of conformity in character and moral behavior. After all, as Christ Himself pointed out, "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which. leadeth unto [eternal] life...Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction."
His quote there uses "narrow paths" and "wide paths" metaphors which point out there are many ways to do evil, while a fairly narrow way to be righteous.
@@GreyWolfLeaderTW In my entire life, I have seen many many many ways to do good things and be a good person. Too many people think you can only be one type of person to go to heaven, when God created us as individuals. His relationship is different for each of us because we all have a unique perspective of the world. Only he knows us absolutely, no human can match that.
Every evil has a natural consequence. It may be easier but it makes your life miserable in many ways. Being a good person can be hard, but it actually makes life easier.
I can kinda see why because without that, Charlie just spends the movie being an ass for no reason. He didn't like the sound of heaven in the first film, and while he accepted it in the end, it proved to be everything he feared. A goody goody retirement home where thrills are forbidden. He's in no rush to save heaven because he thinks dogs would actually be better off without it.
I could argue the lack of this greyness between Charlie and Annabelle is what led to Charlie just coming off like a selfish petulant jerk who always needed to learn a lesson in the TV series. Only the last episode really went back to it, if in a rather cute way that led to character development between them.
As much as Charlie Sheen feels like a mismatch for Charlie's personality compared to Burt Reynolds, gotta say I always loved that sarcastic line about, "Only in heaven could a bunch of squeaky clean angels get awards for being extra squeaky clean."
At least Charlie did something good for once in the end of the first movie

Causes of death for the other dogs after fluffy were, dog 2: electrocution via vacuum cleaner cord, dog 3: strangled by the mailman's mailbag strap, dog 4: he was chasing a car bit the bumper and died when either another car hit em from behind or the exhaust fumes got to him and itchy's death choked on a chicken bone. So I'm guessing at this point that fluffy died of a natural cause not sure what though.
I'd say complications from being overweight. It was mentioned that she put on a lot of weight since the chihuahua last saw her
For fluffy I actually saw her carrying a box of chocolate if you look at the frames carefully and she had a couple in her mouth, I could be wrong she died from eating chocolate

@@ecantu2301Well I heard of psychopaths that get less severe penalty just because they can use social skills so I guess that's life. But what he did in 2nd part is betrayal of state so he will not be redeemed for it unless someone stands by him but Charlie got 20 years extra. So Carface will spend 30-40 years in hell.

@@mariodobrev3105 They say Heaven has many stages and forms. The First Heaven, Second Heaven, that kind of thing. Maybe Jesus is near or in the highest stage of Heaven where God sits upon his throne. He is the Savior, after all. As for Gabriel, he's actually one of the archangels, the greatest and most powerful angels of all. I think that's why you can't see him. What's funny is that he's actually known to have and play a horn in Christianity.
When Charlie dropped his jaws and thinking about when Carface tried to kill Charlie by car, use Ann Marie for animal talking skills to get rich, gambling, kidnapped a sick little girl, beat up Itchy and tried to kill Charlie again by drowning. How come he earned the special badge? At first, I thought it was Charlie earn that badge when I first saw that movie

Simple. It was explained by the leader angel that Car face redeemed himself from his sins by far. Though seems a little unfair, it makes sense since his sins make him the most redeemed from it.

As soon as I saw Itchy returning to heaven I started thinking about poor Anne Marie. She must've been so sad to see him go. After all, he became her dog at the end of the first movie, and how he died remains a mystery. Old age? Or an accident like Charlie did before returning to earth? We'll never know.

I always found it weird that Charlie and Carface would chat like they were old friends, when they were supposed to be deadly enemies in the first movie, but hey, they're dead now, there's nothing to do anymore. The explanation I see possible for Itchy getting to heaven in 1996, maybe sometime after 1939, Itchy's soul got stuck in a purgatory, and it took him several years to get to heaven in 1939.
