    The tactical expert James has suggested a few times not to start Havertz, despite his recent performances against Brighton and Chelsea, because Jesus showed "something" against Wolves.

  • @Graham_Brooks1
    @Graham_Brooks1 Před měsícem +5

    Havertz performances at centre forward- 8 goals in 11 - is now making a strong case for Arteta having no need to dip into the transfer market for a top forward in the summer.
    8 goals in his last 11 at CF
    13 goals overall now for the season.
    Arteta may now prefer to strengthen the front line with a wide forward.

      We have needed a pacey wide man for 2 years and went for Mudryk for that reason but we could do with a really good ball striker. Odegaard is my favourite ut free kicks I have zero expectation of him scoring. Maybe Rice could pracin meanwhile.
      Jesus looking like a ling term crock definitely changed priorities to a striker. Havertz as 8 wasn't disaster but didn't work.not sure if he tries it again but I like him in this role. It not a false 9 its not a 9. Diffto mark ss he is allover the place. His and Jorginho avawas great before coming to us. I suggest we keep up that trend. No injury prone signings please. Nearlthere yet so far to go. You could see 6 or 7 leaving.can we do it allin one window 🪟?

    Rice more so than Saka for quality set-pieces. Saka has been largely hit and miss with his corner kicks this season. The 2 UCL games against bayern in particular were pretty awful in terms of our set pieces. That last corner from Saka in that 2nd keg.... phew. Rice has been brilliantly consistent on this front.

      @surabaya5927 it was not. He was not even willing to give Kai the smallest of chances of succeeding at the club. A lot of fans were extra harsh on Kai. More of it had to do with his Chelsea connections and the media narrative around him.

      @surabaya5927 Před měsícem +6

      @user-qj9pj1sx5d common man, remember the first few months. He wasn't shining at all. Some of that goes on Arteta of course because Havertz just isn't a midfielder. He improved, but his position is up front. I love Havertz btw, and I did not join the 'what the fuck' crowd when Arteta bought him. We need to judge him realistically though. In an interview he said 'I need time to settle in'. I think he settled in fine and is only going to get better.

    What a lovely, informative watch. We certainly targeted weaknesses in Spurs and you can look at the stats in terms of how spurs have conceded their goals over each phase of the season (and how quick Ange is to adapt based on available players). Our win-rate flags the Manchester Utd game as a risk in our run-in, however when reviewing the way they have conceded goals (pieces/defensive errors).

    TACTICAL INSIGHT INTRO
    BY GRAHAM - AFTV
    Nothing beats waking up the day after winning a North Lomdon Derby.
    In the latest Tactical Insight , James & I delve into how Arsenal overcame the intensity of a NLD ; hostility of the crowd and the fatigue generated by the team's 4th game in 10 days to heat a Spurs team that had rested for 15 days
    We look at the set pieces that won us the game ; the narrow way we defended in our 4-4-2 shape to stop Spurs playing through us - and how we maximised Bukayo Saka in open spaces against Ben Davies , who replaced Destiny Udogie in Spurs defence .
    James brilliantly recreates the Saka goal which put us two up.
    We also look at the role of Kai Havertz in defence; as a target man to play over Spurs press and as a centre forward attacking set plays - and his evolution in this team .
    And we look at Arteta's recruitment that has given the team seven players over 6ft that is helping us at set pieces as the boss celebrated another milestone as Arsenal manager .
    100 wins in 169 games .
    Thanks as ever for your support for the show and feedback, which we do read .
    Kind regards
    Graham- AFTV

    It was a strange game because it was North London Derby and away at the spurs as well. But I thought Arsenal tried their best to keep the emotions out. Well said Graham, it was always going to be chaotic at some point. Arsenal was not lucky and they managed a hostile stadium and team the best way they could have. Two away victories at spurs has happened for the first time in the 2000's I think. No small feat.

    I've just heard two gentlemen on talk sport suggesting that spurs managment should put a weak team out against m/ city.what a disgrace to even suggest it , especially for ex players .If talk sport think that is the way their commentators should be talking then I know how certain area of media are.called gutter press and I think the league should keep a very eye on how spurs perform when they play each other.That club seem more concerned arsenal not winning the league,than gaining 3 points and perhaps getting into the champions league and it's financial rewards.I know spurs fans are stupid but idiots,if their owners are the same mentality no wonder they haven't won anything for twenty years, as they it all starts from the top.COYG.

    Ita gonna take heavy machinery to get havertz slong, out of james mouth. The pass was not in front of saka. It didnt make it any easy for saka. Saka's take down and first touch, gave him the impetus to take it towards goal. Havertz was great. Result was amazing. Dont have to mythologise to emphasise the point. The oodegard ball for havertz was much more impressive.

    Bournemouth are a bottom 5 defense in the EPL.
    Arsenal will beat them 4-0, like we did earlier this season when we traveled to their house.

    James how can you now sing Havertz praises!! You want trossard false 9 and Jesus on the left. Trossard was our worst player and Jesus I’m delighted to say didn’t get on the pitch. Let’s remember Jesus has got 4 prem league goals, the same as our rb 😂

This is like me labelling all the erstwhile immigrants from Wormwood scrubs into Kharziland as pathetic morons on a level with the other swamp mutants of N17 which they ain't . There's a good half dozen that support their club because someone has to and they've not had the lobotomy. Stop generalising and get used to the concept that Totts are tiny and not all that
