This was such a tough episode but the last scene was amazing. I just love that Robert isn't letting Aaron give up. He is being so strong for Aaron and keeps reminding Aaron just how strong he is. And the little joke about Pearl to lighten to try and make him smile. Robert has come so far.
I couldn't agree more. Robert has proven that he will see Aaron through this no matter what. This episode made me feel so much. From Gordon pulling his dirty trick, to Aaron hurting himself in court, to Robert trying to console him, and this scene brought me to tears. Danny and Ryan are amazing actors. They truly bring the characters to life.

Robert has an incredible intuition in all things concerning Aaron, just the right amount of empathy, optimism, camaraderie and kind-hearted humour. No wonder Aaron has finally given into physical contact. Great to see them literally supporting each other.
I just realized that everything stopped for Aaron at 8 years old when Gordon started to sexually assault him. He is still that fearful child that nobody wanted. I get now why he is angry, defensive, reactive, self harming and an emotional mess. Aaron needs Robert's strength and Robert needs Aaron's trust.
The "This is me" from Robert was so simple, but meant so much. Just three words that say so much. Like yes Aaron has his family, and he should have Adam and Paddy, but he can't break down and open up to them, where with Robert he just can. Because it's Robert, and after everything they went through together he's still there. And Robert being able to bring a bit of light to the situation, but not so much that it takes away from the real issue. The last scene was absolutely beautiful, Danny and Ryan just keep getting better and better. That hug was the best part, it' was just so meaningful to both of them, because we've only really had two real hugs, and it just shows how much Robert cares, and how Aaron feels comfortable enough to take his support
OMG! That hug at the end just melted my heart. It made up for all that crap Aaron had to go through in this episode. So glad to see this loving, caring side of Robert. He is definitely standing by his man. Love it! Go RobRon!!!

that Robert cracked a joke and they both smiled was so fucking cute. I miss Robert making his little cracks like that to make Aaron smile like in the episode where he and Aaron went to the second hotel , that day Robert was full of them..Hopefully more of the same to come after this nightmare is over and they reunite
Thanks again for uploading! And I have to say that I love the choices they make for Robron's outdoor scenes. The lighting and atmosphere, the background sound of the water running: everything complements them beautifully. It's good that Robert knows when to give Aaron his space and when not to. It's not healthy for him to be allowed to stew in his thoughts and emotions unchecked. And Robert's being very sweet, being Aaron's personal cheerleader even though it's obviously very difficult for him to sit there and do nothing while Gordon makes a mockery of Aaron's pain. I hope that he believes his own words to Aaron and doesn't try to do anything to force things along. He should just keep hugging Aaron. That's one way to stay out of trouble and Aaron doesn't seem to mind. I keep wondering what Liv is seeing when she looks at Robert and Aaron together. I understand if she thinks that Robert lied to her about the nature of their relationship but why would that make her assume that Aaron is lying about Gordon? She doesn't know either of them so what is she basing her opinions of them on exactly? And how is any conclusion that she derives about the nature of their relationship going to help Gordon? I have a couple of scenarios in mind but I'm really hoping that the writers don't go there.

+Geena Rae Yeah, I really hoped we would get a scene where we saw him finally take it off. But who knows, maybe they'll retcon it in just like they did with Andy lol. I remember Andy giving his kids his and Katie's wedding rings right before Katie's funeral. He didn't wear the ring for months (until November I think?) when he suddenly started wearing it again for a few weeks only to have an emotional scene where he took it off. So you never know ;)

I'm sorry, that very last scene with Liv was totally unrealistic. She lives with Sandra in York (which im assuming is a long way from Emmerdale) how did she get there with im assuming no money, how does she just happen to be standing there in the dead of night watching them, she wouldn't know her way around emmerdale especially at night, she's very young, where is Sandra??? ..... that was silly.
Apparently, Liv is angry that her mother pushed Gordon out of their lives, and now she's angry at Aaron for accusing her dad. She told Robert, when they were in Sandra & Liv's kitchen, that she wanted to visit or live with Gordon. I got the impression that Sandra left Gordon because he abused her (Sandra). I don't understand how Liv is hiding behind the bushes, when she doesn't even live in York, much less Emmerdale. I wonder if Liv's behavior will eventually push Sandra to come forward & testify against Gordon. No spoilers, please. But that seems a likely scenario. I wonder if the prosecution could get Gordon's doctor to testify that he's faking his frailty. I don't think the show will go there. I just wish that would happen.
+Erum Hussain Pearl is the old woman who works as receptionist at the vets. She's harmless most of the time but can be a bit of a gossip and does have a waspish tongue on her. Robert was making the joke that she would be a formidable opponent to Gordon.
