Making a Rose Gold, Meteorite, and Carbon Fiber Ring for Sean Kelly from Jersey Champs

- A few months ago, Sean Kelly form Jersey Champs made me a custom basketball jersey themed around Godzilla for my R32 GTR. In return I wanted to make him a really special ring. The ring is designed to match Sean's favorite watch. It features a carbon fiber core with a meteorite band down the middle accented by two strips of rose gold. This is one of my most complicated rings and was one of my favorite projects to work on!

The contrast of the materials is just amazing, I love how the stacking really draws the eye to the crazy texture and patterns of the meteorite.
Very cool ring!
As a geologist this would be such an amazing ring to wear!
Agreed. This is one of the coolest rings you've posted in a while.
That right there is a $3500 ring... That's a heck of a pricey gift. I wish I could afford one, because it looks great. Nicely done
Amazing ring! However the camera operator needs to focus on his focusing a bit more ;)

Absolutely gorgeous looking ring, Patrick. Brilliant work.
One the best rings I've seen on this channel. Great combo of materials.
what an amazing ring. great job showing how much work goes into a "simple" ring.
This ring is GORGEOUS!!! Well done!
14:05 I've never heard anyone pronounce jewelry so perfectly. Please teach us to say 'Cavalry' next. I know Alec, for one, could use the help...
lol
Stunning ring. Super cool....
Love the meteorite after the etch.
That's amazing!! all the materials look great together.
Fantastic ring and the combination of all material love it.
I have to say that is probably one of the best rings I've ever seen you make that is beautiful
Dude!!, the fact I e seen you make them on your CZcams means I’m buying one. Can never tell if these ring companies are mass produced rubbish using sub standard materials
That’s great work! Beautiful!
Wow. Simply WOW!
I love to watch your videos from time to time! Great looking ring!
I have had an idea for a ring for a very long time now and would love to see you make it. It's a magnetic spinner, where the spinning part has it's magnetic poles aligned with the base magnetic poles so that the spinning part of the ring floats around the base. This spinner would spin for a very long time since it would have almost no friction.
Both parts could also be overlayed with blue gold (gold mixed with iron) to make it look really cool, since iron works well with magnesism. Other types of gold would block the magnetic spinning effect.
Please let me know if you are interested in making such a ring!
Your rings are amazing. I can’t wait to own one.
That ring turned out Great!

Very talented
Beautiful work. Wish I knew how to use a lathe.
SICK
Good job mate.
You are great man
Amazing work though. As always.
Great video question i will be ordering a ceramic glowstone ring if i order it now how long will it take and usually when can i get tracking info.
Hey Patrick. I've been a huge fan for a long time. You really put a lot into making your videos aside from your special skills. Thanks for continuing to upgrade the quality/look of your videos through the past couple years!
Do you mind telling me what kind of camera, lense, and camera settings you use (any info helps me know what I need to buy to improve my videography business)?
Lately I’ve been using the Panasonic S1 with the kit lens. It’s great!
Awesome
nice one! doesn't the meteorite rust? I was going to use some in a knife handle but a lot of people said it would be really hard to look after enev compared to the carbon steel blade.
I hope you save the gold filings. They add up. Beautiful result.
I WANNA BUY THAT RING!!!😍😍😍😎
That's cool 😎
You sir are a true craftsman that ring is stunning wow thank you for taking the time to show how to do it the right way god bless
WOW awesome ring man!!! I'm just wondering, in one of your vids a while ago I think you said the acid got into the carbon fibre when you etched the meteorite. How'd you go about it here? Do you also put a clear coat or something on to stop the meteorite from rusting? Great work.
Looks like you could use a tool post mount for the grinder for more control.
Hey Patrick, what do you use as cutting fluid?
Carbon fiber also is a good abrasive that can help wearing lathe parts :)
This is a beautiful piece! Is glue safe though?
Is it meteorite the stuff from space you are using if so how and where do you get them materials for jewellery making??
Holy crap I think you outdid your friend by about 1000%! He need to come with 10 more Jerseys.
Nice work. If you happen to read this, I’m curious to know if you are self taught or if you went to school to do what you do. Thanks for posting.
DAMN IT’S PRETTY
lets go!
Craftsman!!
Wow, your´e a great friend ! I´ts amazing.
I love this ring! How much is it?
Are you not able to impregnate the center of a finished ring with forged carbon weave, and just resin/pressure it? Almost the same idea as when you used the sand?
That would maybe prevent the need to put carbon pucks in the lathe? 🤔
Hi love ur rings buying on soon to engage my girlfriend. question is that weather board in the background from weaber lumber?
hey! just curious, what metal lathe do you use?
Please make a cracked carbon fiber ring with epoxy
I want one!!!
When you cut the meteorite on the lathe, wouldn't it have easier and save more material if you used a band saw?
i want one for myself, is it possible for an order? the meteorite is really majestic.
This is a really nice ring and I'm interested but wouldn't the meteorite rust?
Do you ever get metal splinters making those rings
Gold ring most comfortable ring to use
I want to see the R32!
Not bad I see you Pat

Question.
Does the acid for the meteorite also eat at CA adhesive?
I want to use it for the rings I have I payed chunks of meteorite for. But I am worried it will eat the CA I got keeping that meteorite in place.
No it doesn’t eat CA or most other plastics
Hello my name is Anthony. I was wondering if you sell rings to the public. If so do you have a site or something? Because i love your designs and would love to get one as my wedding ring upgrade.
I love the ring, but I'm kinda curious about this watch...
what was the acid you used to etch the meteorite?
Sean, you’re a lucky man.
You should make gauges for earsv since they're so similar to rings
Custom shirt equals cool ring I might make u some custom shoes and a hat 2 match...
Can't wait to see what I get hehe
Was this actual gold rings? Where can you buy actual gold rings for jewelry making like this? Nice work!
Where can one find rose gold like that? Everything I find is either brass or titanium.
Have you made an angular cut meteorite ring?
You should do a giveaway with 2 diamond hole saws and a chunk of carbon fiber
