never ask teddy atlas for directions if you are on holiday; by the time he finishes speaking your holiday is over.....
Yeah he has great insight, but desperately needs an editor
Hahahaahahahahaaaaa
Brilliant lol
Or he will pronounce the street wrong lol
Teddy and Bernard "Bhop" Hopkins
Wildly impressed with the performance from Loma.
Wildly impressed with the post fight celebration from Lewis
Expected
I've been watching boxing and been around boxing for 40+ years and Lomachenko is the best fighter I've ever seen, p4p. He doesn't have the resume because of the circumstances, but the fact that he's 2 weight classes above where he should be, AND still relentlessly goes for the KO, is amazing. Had he stayed at a lower weight he never would've lost, and if he fought like Mayweather instead of Holyfield, he'd never lose a round.
The Glazing is crazy
💯
Couldn’t agree with you more boxed myself and at 71 still compete in powerlifting at high level, so know what I am talking about. I could be biased but at lightweight think Duran would be too much for him, but Loma not natural lightweight.
Agreed
@@magacop5180You might be the only sane reply to this comment 😂
Loma have given us magic over the years, I hope he doesn’t stay around too long because it would be sad to see him go out like that but a boxer that will be watched for many years to come and analysed by coaches and boxers alike.
that's not how you spell analyzed
100% agree. Actually I'd like him to retire now. These young guys like tank and Shakur are waiting for father time to defeat Loma then they move in.
@@ApolloMateoKyrie it literally is . Not everyone is an American.
Loma is the greatest boxer in terms of technical ability that’s ever put a pair of gloves on.
Better than mayweather? Stop it
@@jaydinero2503 yes, you’re free to argue against it all you like but you would be wrong and I’m fine with that 😂
@@BasedRama Mayweather is undefeated Loma is not end of story
@@jaydinero2503 you’ve got 0 boxing experience or knowledge so maybe stick to talking about things you understand a little better.
@@BasedRama I understand a guy with losses is not the best ever
Lomachenko is the greatest lightweight of this generation. He clearly beat Haney and the Lopez fight could have easily been a draw and Loma landed all the impressive blows in that fight. Had he threw punches the first 6 rounds vs Lopez, he would have won easily. He has fought nothing but champions and former champions since he became a professional. He is one of a kind.
The Lopez fight was just a bad strategy, in the 6th I think his dad said not yet loma said huh not now, then the next round his dad said now and he picked it up smoking teo clean but was too late, I believe the plan was to take teo out … gave up too many early rounds he coulda won easy
He lost the Lopez fight, but even then you could see he is the superior fighter. He is a lot smaller than both those guys
You sound biased. Loma lacks genetics to be great. He will always come short because of his short limbs. He got hit too many times vs Haney. Lacked power vs Lopez. Overrated
V@@Kikuyo2Клоун,он 2х кратный олимпийский чемпион,пояса в 3 весовых .
Lomachenko did not win that haney fight lmao. It was close but he definitely loss
He loss literally to the other top guys twice and your talking about he's the best 😂😂 guess u don't have to actually win to be the best. That's the du*best shit I ever heard
Loved your comments regarding Loma, Teddy. Heart felt. I'm an older trai er as well. No where near your level but am hoping the Lord sends me a few that could use my help
Lomachenko is today what Willie Pep was in his day
Willy Pep was magic.
Loma is a wonder, but doesn't quite live up to Willie's rep
Your Absolutely right ...there were 3 knock downs in the 11 round .. what a beautiful performance. A master piece
I just wanna see Loma vs Tank. That’s all.
Who wins?
Probably more likely I think we'll see Loma v Stevenson, cos they're both Top Rank
Tank will never do it
Ulberry is a new way to pronounce his name 😂
Love the content Teddy and Ken. Thank you for bringing us boxing news weekly. Look forward to it every week.
Me too. Pros.
Kambosos had a great career, including a huge win. And aussie boxing legend. But he was out classed, and the gap was immeasurably wide. Great effort and brilliant career.
He’s just not strong enough.
He was never the same after the Lopez fight. He looked TERRIBLE in all his fights after that
@@elinino5275 I don't think he looked terrible at all. He looked as good as he could in those Haney fights, he just doesn't have the physical tools to deal with Haney and his style. He looked terrible in that fight after Haney, but I thought he looked very good vs. Loma, he just isn't good enough vs. an all-time great.
@@elinino5275 Thats right. He is not elite. He reminds a bit of Danny Garcia. Guys that though that they were better than they actually were.
That chihuahua only had 1 good win and that wasn’t even decisive. So what about his great career again?
God please give teddy another world championship for his grandchildren!!
I think Loma is the best boxer we've seen in the last 10 years, above Inoue, Crawford, Canelo. Watching him fight is like watching an artist paint a masterpiece.
What I love is that uses all those skills to go for the KO.
There's not even an argument, Loma is nothing compared to Crawford and Inoue.
Huh? He loss all his big fights. He’s back on top for beating kambosos? It didn’t look like art when he fought teo. I didn’t see the art when he loss to salido. If anything he most hyped fighter in the last 10 years. U say he better than Crawford? A guy who has stopped his last 11 opponents? Who hasn’t loss? Jus say loma your favorite cuz he definitely ain’t the best in the last 10 years lol
Crawford will have his first defeat soon against Canelo. And Loma can only redeem himself if he defeats Tank.
@@lolucci1453Loma is a much smaller man, I love Crawford but, Loma at lightweight is like Crawford at super middleweight and Tank at Welterweight. Haney came in the fight as a middleweight and barely beat Loma.
"I'm going to predict it. People don't want me to sit on the middle of the fence." LOL Teddy
Teddy, you're great at what you do and what a great breakdown in a more intimate level of Lomachenko and his family. Made me a little teary-eyed, haha.
Uysk speed is crazy reminds me of heavy weight Chris Byrd
Thanks!
1:03 teddy doesn’t play golf. He’s just there to chat and tell boxing stories
I BEEN SIO BUSY IN LIFE I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO WATCH FIGHTSIN 3 WEEKS:( the recaps here all i had time for thanks guys
Guys have to do the show Monday. Fights happen on the weekend.By Tuesday it's all been said.
🎯
Rip ulberg, welcome mulberry and mulberg. Thanks Ken 😂😂😂
One of the first times that I've agreed with Teddy's predictions
Wow! Best post ever! Teddy reminds me of a parent reading a story to his child! I so appreciate he has a big heart, a God-fearing, honest and sincere, loving family man! He does get a little carried away with his words, but that’s OK it’s part of hispersona great guy
I being watching boxing for more than 50 years and see great fighters like Duran, Leonard, Hagler, Salvador Sanchez, but Loma skills is superior from everyone in boxing. Everyone should enjoy watching Loma flights because you'll never will see another one like him in our life time again.
THE MATRIX 👑 HIGH TECH.
Just because Loma is your favorite doesn't mean he is "more skilled" than the other legends you've mentioned. Can't they all be equally skilled but you prefer Lomas style?
Great backstory by Teddy on the lead up to The Rumble In The Jungle 💯 🥊
Teddy talking about world champion . " World series baseball doesn't go out of the U.S.A. ?
Teddy is hilarious, especially when he’s not trying to be… Cracked me up when he said Tyson’s opponent got paid in many ways including getting knocked out and getting a concussion 😂.
Great video as always! Love what you do! Can’t wait for the fight. I am picking Usyk as well but it is a razor thin margin.
The Brits over their, I love you guys"
👍 thanks from England
Teddy...my younger daughter lives in New York...would love to meet you so you can give her boxing and life skill lessons ...on my bucket list...
Watch the Gvozdzyk Beterbiev fight, you may reconsider
I see Usyk coming inside immediately and pressuring Fury.Uppercuts and bouncing back out with superior footwork and head movement
til he gets caught by an uppercut like dillian
@@ApolloMateoKyrie He's very smart though dude, very very very smart he'll be wary of uppercuts and will be able to see it coming.
Usyk will be the hardest fight Fury will ever face and I personally don't think Fury can beat him,.
@@ApolloMateoKyrie I can't see Usyk making any mistakes in the manner of Dillian Whyte, who looked really poor on the night (and was tailor-made for Fury). Usyk's feints will drive Fury crazy, as he's the one who likes to do that usually. I see it going the full 12 rounds and Usyk will nick it on points, just by outsmarting and beating Fury to the punch. Boring fight for the casuals, interesting for the hardcores...
It will be interesting to see how Usyk’s movement and angles suit Fury. He might actually enjoy not having to face a fellow monster. Remember, Usyk does get hit quite a lot. Fury will land more than Joshua did.
Teddy Atlas the best sport commentators of all time
Speaking of x factors the fact usyk had to go to literal WAR after a big win and come back to fight .... LEGEND
I hope Teddy gets his wish to have another World Champion and his children and grandchildren in the ring with him. That was a touching tribute. I hope some gifted boxers put their hand-up for "pick me" for Teddy. Teddy is 'the best' and he will make you 'the best'.
Great breakdown of Mullberry’s fight
Fury by decision if the fight is close. There's a vested interest in making Fury vs Joshua happen by the promoters. Fury can box, clinch, brawl and make the fight hard to score, I will be very surprised if Usyk gets the decision and there's no way he's winning by KO.
It would be so much more satisfying to see Fury and Joshua, who dodged each other for years, finally fighting each other over second place.
@@TeacherDoug7 Fury and Isyk have a rematch clause. One fight at a time.
LOMACHENKO...is amongst my favorite fighters All-time...the likes of ALI, Roy Jones Jr., Marco Antonio Barrera, Pacquiao, Ray Leonard, Mayweather, B Hop, Chavez Sr., Parnell ' Sweet Pea ', Terrence Crawford, Hands-of-Stone, Holyfied, Andre Ward, Cotto, Tito...
Heavyweights are fighting everyone kudos to both fighters. I want Fury. However, Usky is a great fighter and humble it would not hurt my feelings if he gets the win!
Yes. I'm just hoping for a good fight. I don't understand how people get so emotionally invested in fighters.
@@playedout148Getting behind fighters or teams is human nature because they are doing something you either can't do or wished you did. I think it will be an entertaining fight!
@@hortonsstuff6948I think I'm just more interested in the sweet science than individual fighters. Love watching old fights.
@playedout148 I know I loved 90's boxing
I’m totally with Teddy! I’ve Usyk too!! LFG!!
How many good picks has Teddy made lately 😂
Warner Wolf! "Let's go to the videotape!"
I’d really like if you guys touched all the boxing first then UFC or vice versa. That way I could just let it play at work. I don’t hate ufc just not interested
I might be the only one who feels this way, and granted I’m not in the production room so maybe there’s a reason behind it. Love the show guys!
Did Teddy forget about the Navarrete fight?!
‘When we were’ kings is the name of the Ali Foreman documentary that Teddy talks about.
It was excellent. Ali’s crowning glory.
I want to see Naoya Inoue vs Vasyl Lomachenko at 130 or 135 as soon as possible! That is a dream match that needs to happen! Hopefully this fight can be made by the end of this year.
Fury all day everyday!
Yeah I really can't see Fury losing.
To be honest I do not know who is going to be the victor of the Fury vs Usyk bout. Is Fury on the down slide? Has Usyk bitten off more than he can chew? So many ifs and ands to think over.
Teddy called it!!!!! I'm getting tired of this vanity.
I don't understand how these legendary analysts can't grasp that Kambosos was always an average fighter at best. I was impressed with how Loma treated him. Especially after the lay off and age. Kambosos is like Chris Algeiri, a one hit wonder. I speak the truth. If you know boxing then you would understand what I'm saying. Every week i gotta hear Teddy Bear crying about Canelo lost to GGG. Gennady was this monster and couldn't ko or treat Canelo like his many other victims. A close fight ain't a robbery. Loma due to what he accomplished pre professional boxing is nothing short of sensational. That being said, it was a statement win for Lomachenko. Teddy needs to stop coping with Canelos career that's not even finished. Kam will be a stepping stone/gatekeeper from now on. He rode that one win all the way to the bank. It will be very difficult for Lomachenko to be Undisputed. He can beat Navarette. I don't know about this prime Tank or Shakur. But respect to the legendary Loma because he will definitely try.
I would just love Loma to fight the biggest cherry picker in boxing Tank he would expose how ordinary he is.
Not at this point. Loma will give him a good account of himself but he is not as dynamic as he used to be anymore.
@@juliohernandez3323 Tank could be good but we don’t know because he isn’t fighting anybody unless they have ridiculous weight restrictions etc he is just doing a Mayweather.
@@david-pb4bi I realize that Tank has been matched very carefully, but the things that made Loma stood out over the competition like his footwork, quickness, work rate etc have diminished noticeably especially after moving up to 135 dealing with bigger guys that can also fight.
@@juliohernandez3323 Obviously we all know that, so it would be interesting to see if Tank’s management would risk him fighting him now, I very much doubt it because if he lost it would expose him as a fraud.
@@david-pb4bi Yeah, maybe when Loma is 50 years old Tank will finally agree to fight him haha. What about Loma vs. Pitbull Cruz?
Canelo fighting cotto, kovalev, Kirkland, Callum Smith, plant wich Benavides couldn't put down ect ect are not worthy opponents? Come on Teddy, that goes to tell you how much teddy dislikes the p4p kingnelo.
His run of having 4 champions on their stool says enough
You know me and teddy atlas think alike, I was predicting Usyk even before I watched this.
I think it's the good big man vs the truly great not so litle man
Dont get impaled on that fence
wtf Canelo has to do with Loma question? Teddy is like.... if you ask him what you ate for breakfast... he brings up Canelo ..and that he's not great.
How to answer a simple question in 1/2 hour lol
Agree with 90% of what you said.
Usyk wins whether by stoppage or points - I cannot see Fury winning against a person who never takes time off and is always lazer focused.
Well, I always thought Loma was miles better than Kambosos. I never felt Kambosos had a real chance to be competitive. This as a get right fight for Loma.
Warren Wolf! “Let’s go to the video tape “.
As amazing as Loma is,he does have a flaw that Teofimo exposed, when Loma feels early in the fight that his opponent doesnt have the power to hurt him,he does what he did to kambosis,Lopez showed Loma early in the fight that he does have that power, and Loma tried to fight a safety first type of fight which didnt beat Lopez
Compare that point of emphasis to a great fighter like Hagler....Hagler as an aging experienced fighter fought two young lions ....Mugabi and Hearns...with knowledge that to you have to engage . exchange.. 'fight" to beat these young fighters ..not play chess but get in the pit and fight.... understanding and unafraid to accept the incoming...Loma will not commit to that
@1:23:30 168 has only one champion Canelo but don’t like to give him same respect but also soon 175 will too have only one champion!
Loma looked amazing against Kambosos.
Teddy, I don't think it is the 'eye' that gets cut!!! Sorry for interrupting.
It’s Ulberg not Ulberry you guys, get it right. Look at his previous fights. Was going to be very hard for Menifield to get up on him any other way…. Give Ulberg some credit as he decided to stay on the pocket and finish it instead of picking him off at range
Here's the real deal: Fury showed his age and wear in the fight against Ngannou. He got old in the ring, and everyone is in denial about it. We saw it start in the last Wilder fight. He got dropped twice when he shouldn't have even gotten hit either time, and against maybe the worst technical boxer to be a Heavyweight champion in the history of the sport. Then the Ngannou fight, way more competitive that it ever should have been. And, he never hurt Ngannou when AJ made mincemeat out of him. Fury is going to be a bear swatting at a housecat in this fight against Usyk. The bear is strong but it will never catch that housecat. The footwork, the handspeed,, and the determination of Usyk will expose Tyson Fury, and he will retire.
And I'm a diehard Fury fan. 🤷♂️
Teddy is RIGHT.Usyk
Moon pie sponsor for Lewis, hilarious!!
Somehow i think a focused Fury is what Uysk wants.
I’m English and am still happy to have the heavyweight champion from only a few miles down the road - but I am disgusted with the behaviour of his father. It reminds me of when we were all seen as football hooligans in the 80’s.
@20:20 kind of like Robert Garcia, his dad and his son all work the corner together, could imagine when they did Mikey’s fights a family tradition!
Think they both worked Fernando Vargas corner too
was hoping he'd also talk about lauren price vs jessica mccaskill
Logic has to suggest Fury is the favourite, but he's always been his own wildcard. A 100% fit and dialed-in Tyson Fury should beat any other heavyweight on the planet more times than not. But if he does turn up at anything less at 100%, Usyk will school him. And I do wonder about the southpaw factor. Wallin is easily the best leftie that Fury has faced, and he's levels below Usyk. Perhaps we'll see something along the lines tactically of what the switching-hitter Bud did against Spence, using the power jab from a southpaw stance. Great fight!
Boxing hasn't changed. Mayorga smoked cigarettes. Tyson said IL eat ur kids. Promotion has always been crazy
Teddy Atlas NEVER miss an episode! Love y’all!
I'd love to see a Loma vs. Teofimo rematch. I think Loma would whip him the second time around.
What does this say about the judges??? 27:54
I've been reading people's comments slamming Kambosos. People need to realize he has been a world champion in boxing. 99.9% of people have never a world champion in anything.
Ken sounding like Uncle Chael with the name pronouncing… Buckley vs Roozabov
Usyk - Fury is the biggest fight in boxing. Both appear to be in excellent condition both physically and mentally. Usyk is a master boxer, similar in many ways to Loma in technique. Fury is big and athletic and very durable. Looking forward to a classic. I'll be rooting for Usyk, who is a great ambassador for the sport and a very humble man.
I just love hearing from Teddy! The governing bodies who run boxing should really get Teddy involved to try and clean up the sport. He genuinely wants the best for boxing. Never going to happen though.
THE GREATEST PREDICTION VIDEO EVER FROM TEDDY ATLAS, BASED ON ALL DESCRIPTIONS IT SEEMED LIKE HE WAS LEANING TOWARDS FURY THEN BOOM HE SAYS USYK! 😂😂 and I have to agree, Usyk wins this fight 💯💯
I would say the 135lbs need to fight each other and stop waiting for Loma to get older. He looked good, but what's up with Tank vs Shakur? Shakur vs Navarrete? Zepeda vs Keyshawn? And all the top 5 in that weight class? They need to mix it up and quit the bullshit.
Who did he pick?
"I'm feel": Usyk boasts a superior gas tank and holds an edge over Fury in terms of technical and tactical prowess. As the fight unfolds, Usyk is anticipated to assert his dominance in the latter rounds, ultimately securing victory by a points decision.
Warner Wolf ! LETS GO TO THE VIDEO TAPE!
I join you in your prayer Teddy. 🙏 ✨️
Hope they speak on the Nina Hughes fight and that controversial decision n also talk on the Lauren Price win n performance 🙏
😮😮😮what neither fight get a mention 😢
The irony is that whoever wins on Saturday, the ibf will probably immediately strip them, so we'll probably only have an undisputed champion for a couple of weeks. Same when Lewis became undisputed, the wba stripped him of their title before he even made a defence.
Oh yes and it's Oleksandr not Alexander, when is O ever pronounced A?
Interesting about Foreman and the training injury extending his time in Zaire. From what I have read, Foreman got too acclimatized to the air conditioning in his hotel room he always trained in, and became a bit obsessed with heavy bag work. Anyway, the rumor is Fury's ankles are shot and his recent bouts' center of the ring style is a necessity. You have to wonder why the odds do not have Fury as anything like the favorite he surely ought to be with his speed, skill enormous reach and weight advantages against a slightly but significantly older natural cruiserweight.
Kambosos brought nothing to the table that could threaten Lomachenko. The only question mark was what Lomachenko had left. He certainly has plenty left to beat someone like Kambosos.
Loma should drop down to feather weight & take on inoue 😮
Trout, Cotto, Jacob’s, Kovalev, Smith, those are C level fighters? But beating Kambosos is legendary? I love Loma, but he was supposed to wash Haney.
Sad Loma isn't in his prime because he would definitely beat them all in and around his weight division and still could on a good day
Its hard to predict between 2 fighters who have never been beaten and won so many times
Canola is coming after Teddy ☘️
Actually me and I guess a lot of people expected such a difference and expected Loma to knock him out inside 6 or 8. Kambosos is about the same skills as Sosa or Marriaga and we saw what Loma did with them.
He is aging and does not have enough power to hurt guys with single shots nor the stamina to throw as much and precise as he did previously. Don't want to see him get hurt with Tank now to be honest. Maybe a couple more fights with solid but not too dangerous Frank Martin, Keyshawn and Cruz to earn some money but he just missed his chance with the very best. Loma with Tank in their primes would be great but not sure it is what it was now.
Great show. Lomachenko gave a real Queensbury Ted talk. Crawford v Spence sort of domination. Usyk stops Fury with a shot to the brisket in the 10th round.
Kambosos just got lucky that Teofimo Lopez was over-confident and underestimated him. He tried to KO him in 2 rounds, and got caught bad. If Teofimo just boxes - he beats everyone at 135/140 comfortably. Prime Teofimo v Prime Lopez v Prime Crawford at 135 would be epic.
People always find a reason to go for fury I think the gig is up he's done
