DISCLAIMER: I make these videos to share my own personal methods and techniques for how I make cold process soap. These videos are not intended as tutorials for beginners. These videos are intended for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking has many variables and involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear safety gear. While I hope you find watching my videos helpful or entertaining, so many variables go into making soap and even the smallest change can greatly affect the results; therefore, I am not liable or responsible for your results if you try any of the methods or techniques that I use in my videos. - Jak na to + styl
WOW! I never would have guessed that that pour would create such a feathery swirl! Amazing!!
I love how peaceful your videos are!
Beautifully done!
Beautiful colors and technique. I love listening to your soothing voice while you explain what you are doing. Thank you for your wonderful tutorials Holly.
Thank you so much!
Just beautiful!! Love it!
Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well! ❤️ If you've tried the one pot wonder technique, did you pour your soap into the front, side, or back of the pot/pitcher? I think I like the side the best because it seems to produce more feathering in the soap. I put photos of my other attempts at the end of the video. One of them has an orange blob at the top because my soap thickened on me towards the end of the pour and would not cooperate. LOL
How much lye do you put to one litre of oil
I poured into the front of the pitcher but the final design was not a "One Pot Wonder" design. Next time I'll try the side.
The one with the blob is my favorite :D Thank you for the tip, I'll try ;)
Hi, where did you find your cutting tool?
Beautiful soap. Love your videos. This was so calming and beautiful to watch. You are an artist. Thanks for sharing. I'm a new soap maker who has quickly become addicted to making soap.

Thank you so much, Mag!! 💕
Your soap is beautiful! I think like everyone else who did this challenge, even though it required for most of us multiple times trying, every batch of soap we made turned out beautifully even if we didn't get the desired feathering. This technique is really versatile!
Thank you! I agree! I think that’s why I like it so much. 😊
Truly beautiful! Thank you for showing us how. Music was wonderful!

Very beautiful!!!
I am always mesmerized by your videos - everything is so well organized and tidy and relaxing to watch. Unlike when I make soap. And the music is perfect. The “other attempts” are all beautiful - love the final one, it looked like it had several colors maybe? And agree with the others I have no problem with the orange blob! Thank you for your generosity sharing your expertise.
Thank you so much! That's so kind of you to say! I really do make quite a big mess, but it's usually just outside my camera's reach. 😂 Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!

I just stared making soap a week ago. I am sooo in love with your soaps! You are an artist, The colors you mix are full of happiness. Can you let me know how much water and lay do you use, please?
Hi Holly, good to see you. I watched Terri's video on this technique from Tree Marie Soaps and I really like this design, I like both yours and hers 🥰. I always love your videos. I must try this even though I am a beginner, I think I can do it, it looks very easy. Thanks Holly, stay safe.💞
Hi! Wasn’t Teri’s soap amazing! Her design was so beautiful. Thank you for always leaving such kind comments. I hope you’re doing well! ❤️ Let me know how it goes if you try it!
I say nice things because I think you are a beautiful person that deserves it 😊.
Cómo me gusta como trabaja, muy pulcra, muy metódica. Hermoso jabón!!! 👏😊
Beautiful presentation
Thank you so much!
Wonderfull 😍😍😍
Thank you!!
Thank you for this and all your other videos! Your work is excellent and yes your music and voice are so soothing... My question is whether the oil and water used for the colors are part of the overall oil/water in the recipe. I haven't made my first batch yet, but i have been soaking up all information so i will be as prepared as possible for that first batch :)
Bonsoir Holly, de France. J'aime bien celui 9:10 de savon . On dirait la mer déchaînée...Merci .Good evening Holly, from France. I like the 9:10 soap one. It looks like the raging sea ...thank you
Thank you so much!! ❤️
Wow
muito lindo, parabens.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful and complete tutorial. Why do you put the soap, freshly made, in the oven to heat to help the gel, when the mold is made of wood and, by isolating, does not let the heat pass?
Hi, it’s amazing soap. How can I avoid acceleration if I know that my fragrance oil is accelerate the batter. Thanks
Superb
Thank you!
Hi Holly loved this technique and your videos !! Cant wait to try it !! Could you tell me what you cover the table with ? The white sheet , what material is it ?
Thank you! I just use freezer paper when I’m filming to reduce the glare from my stainless table.
Holly - Kapia Mera Soap what is freezer paper ?? 🙈
Again, another fabulous video. I just enjoy watching your work. Such a great learning experience for me. One question though - how in the world do get your edges to look so wonderful???😀 I use a vegetable peeler also BUT my soap edges have dents and are so uneven 😔. Thanks again ❣
Thank you so much and thanks for watching my videos! When I’m trimming a soap for a video, I usually do it when the soap is still soft (since I’m in a hurry), so I do get dents and uneven places sometimes. To avoid them as much as possible, I try not to apply any pressure with the peeler. I think that helps. I just barely let it glide over the soap. I’ve also used my planer to trim the edges (it has a groove for that), and that works well, too. If it’s not a soap I need to photograph immediately, I always let it cure for a bit, and that really makes a difference. Hope this helps! 💕
@@hollysoapmaking Thanks so much. ANYTHING you suggest helps. The trick for me to be able to apply it 😄 Oh well practice, practice, practice...😊
Hola tienes cursos en línea me encanta tu trabajo ! Son muy bellos !❤️
Thank you!
Great Design. I liked him so much so easy .but I have big problem with charcoal all time find him not clear cause there are small part when do it .
Thank you!
Good. Video interesting and useful even though we are far apart but we can help each other and succeed together, thank you my brother
Holly you are funny! Your blob is fine! No one would have known! I tried one the other day... first try and it was sort of ok I poured on the side. I was going for a watermelon but put the colors in backwards!!!! LOL! my bad! it's will be for Christmas now! That is what it reminds me of and of course it did not help that the FO wanted to seize on me! ugh! Talk about BLOBS! Great vid as always!
I was so disappointed when I unmolded the soap and saw the blob. LOL I bet yours will be a beautiful Christmas soap! 😊Thank you for watching my video! ❤️
Good. Like 👍👉3
Thank you!
I used a 35% lye solution (water = 1.85 x lye)
Hello Molly tghank you for sharing your beautiful soap making and recipe. One question...is this the same as water discount? how do you get the 1.85?
thank you
Yes, a 35% lye solution is considered to be a water discount. A 25% to 28% lye solution is usually considered as full water. However, 31% (water = 2.2 x sodium hydroxide) is the most water I ever use. Here's a great article by Modern Soapmaking that should help, too (scroll down to the part called The Most Common Lye Solution Strengths in Soapmaking) - www.modernsoapmaking.com/lye-solution-in-soapmaking/ Hope this helps! Thank you for watching!

Hay . I am from indonesia . Thankyou for sharing your recipe . I really thankfully if I can found your email account for sharing each other 🙏 I want to make soap for selling to other . Thank you
using that calculator does not give any chance to include the superfat %, I guess can run the recipe over a different calculator. thank you anyway for your recipe, it is so relaxing to watch your videos and wonderful work
Thank you and thanks for watching! The Sage calculator gives you a range of superfat options once you click Calculate Lye. Soap Calc is another really good calculator, though.
