@@mitchellcumsteen9220 - In 2002 the city of Boston hadn't won a championship in any sport since Celtics in '86. Bruins last cup was in '72, Red Sox since 1918. So at that point Boston really didn't have too many championships, except for the Celtics.
Seeing these old clips of Conan and his then show really make it clear that him right now with his podcast and travel shows he did before he retired his late show is 100% funnier, he's as funny now as he has ever been
I love the fake-wood grain walls. The East Street band Drummer as a blonde is hilarious. He was a good drummer too. Then you have Conan acting like a drunken frat boy, while Nicolas Cage shows up. Well executed.

It is sad to look at this now. Because of how Conan did Joel. I do believe Conan and Max were friends but Joel was obviously just another worker to Conan. To me he is much funnier then Andy Richer. When Conan went to do the Tonight show he didn't bring Joel with him. Didn't even ask him. You would think from these pictures that they were closer then that. Right after that Conan's life went downhill. The show was never the same. He tried to change his sho.w when he went to the Tonight Show too much. It was too different. I think that is one of the reasons it didn't do well. Jay Leno's was too different too. I get it he was trying to reach a older age group. But not doing anything that made Conan famous in the first place hurt the show.
