- In honor of Conan's last week on the Tonight Show, I'm going to try to capture and upload a bunch of clips from Late Night that I have on VHS.
In this clip, Conan looks back at the Oscar Party he had with Max and Joel. Unexpected technical difficulties throws the bit off track, but Conan does some great improvising. Special appearance by Kilty McBagpipes

Kilty McBagpipes is so random and non sequitur; it feels like he's just come out of a box labeled "break glass in case of technical difficulties".
I love that his automatic response to things going wrong is to dance on his desk. Also, any skit that ends in a Conan strip-tease is automatically a success in my book. ;-)

That's a horrifying thought, ConanVIDS.
You know what I really like? The end, when he's standing up on the desk with his clothes half-off and this helpless look on his face, like " (a)Whoops, I think I may have taken it too far, and (b) Okay, now what the hell do I do?"

It's kind of ironic, isn't it? More than once on both Late Night and the TBS show, Conan's shed his trousers. Here, he's entirely reluctant to do so.
I figure it's because of the nature of the situation he began putting himself into when the choice came up--go farther, or not. The NBC censors allowed the swapping of pants, the donning of random costumes, and all that kind of silliness...but a pseudo strip-tease where he loses the trousers? I think they'd flip their lids over that one.
