My favourite conspiracy theory is that Lyssa is actually still in the human world.. But she is actually two people (in this theory that's also why her depictions have two faces). The two most powerful human mesmers we know: Countess Anise and Queen Jenna. It fits just well enough to kind of make sense, it's perfect xD
Ignore all the glaring loopholes in the theory.

The mystery of what happened to Gwen was my absolute favorite thing about GW1. They make you so attached to this little girl during what is essentially the tutorial, throw your world upside-down with this historically devastating event, and Gwen is just... gone. It was heartbreaking! I remember when Eye of the North was announced and all the theories about it spelling GW:EN, I thought surely it was just a coincidence. They certainly played the long game! Well done, Arenanet. And with how often they put ancient GW1 references into GW2, I know better than to doubt even the wildest theories anymore!
Mr E is a reference to Mister Ed, the talking horse. Tyria is secretly run by horses.

My God, why didn't we see it before?
In the Zephyrite Festival we see Captain Kiel ask EVON Gnashblade how he always seems to know everything before anyone else does. He responds dismissively that when you've been in the business as long as he has you learn a few things. EVON has an invested interest in keeping Queen Jennah in power since without her the treaties with the Charr and Lion's Arch fall apart (as do a lot of his business opportunities). Additionally Wild Eye Miller also makes a big deal about EVON knowing everything (suggesting that he and his secret twin are telepaths). Additionally additionally, there is a precedent for Charr to use their first initial in secert communiques. The Ash Legion Imperator, Malice Swordshadow uses the initial "M" to write secret comminuqes with Dragon's Watch during the story of Icebrood Saga.
With EVON being monetarily and socially invested in keeping Queen Jennah in power and opposing the White Mantle, his already existing fame for knowing basically everything (existing intelligence network), and the Charr use of initials in secret messages I think it's pretty obvious who "E" is. :)

So true. He was such an interesting npc and you even meet him head on in your personal story (sylvari of course). The foreshadowing of another tree somewhere deep in Maguuma, no shared dream, the Nightmare Court having a freaking prophecy about him... and when HoT dropped we did not even get a "Sorry, he turned into a mordrem" or "Welp, he got to his mother/father tree and died fighting off his corrupted kin". I do not even know how many times I ran around the corrupted trees to look for any sign of Malyck or some kind of sylvari resistance that could've taken place there... Just no sign of Malyck at all... I still hope he is out there... survived Mordremoth and being the badass firstborn his people need to keep them safe from harm... maybe... one day... we will meet again Y-y
@@SyraDreamweaver isnt it implied his tree is somewhere far west-northwest in maguma, the place we didnt get to see? but yeah HoT had plenty of unfinished storylines, like the nightmare court being with us in maguuma but aside from faolain they arent mentioned at all to my knowledge, the one place they apper is at the final fight in the meta with the mouth of mordremoth on the little islands. Like there is also four lanes in dragonstand but the fourth one isnt added to the final product but you can bypass some invisible walls and youre in, its not the same as the three lanes with the blighting trees but it leads right up to mordremoths tree if you follow it all the way down. What if that was the nightmare court lane?

It's such an interesting hook that I can't believe that ArenaNet didn't do anything with it. On the other hand, it'd have deserved to be fleshed out and not some throwaway reference so at least we're spared the disappointment of an underwhelming implementation.. I guess?

What about the Hoelbrak Home Instance Mystery? Tiny ledge? Tiny Ledge??? The changes to the Norn HI have been much bigger. I farm that HI daily and started running into objects during IBS. New assets like additional food stalls starting popping up one by one. No one else seems to have noticed and it's been driving me nuts! It's like reality shifted...
Okay, but what if E is actually Edrick the Bloody (one of the few Mister Es we actually meet in the game, who happens to have a connection to the Krytan monarchy, show up in the same season as E, and be shown to be a very strong spellcaster). What if they've pulled a full Megamind here and the prince is not actually vulnerable to candy corn, and we never actually trapped him again, but he brainwashed Jenna into thinking she was him and applied her appearance to himself and his appearance to her, so we actually trapped Jenna instead of Edrick, and Jenna has been stuck in the Realm of the Mad King since season 1 with false memories of daddy issues, while the real prince Thorn has been playing Jenna all along while also being the mysterious E, and the commander doesn't realise any of this even though the clues are all there if you just open your eyes!

Speaking on that last one, Guild Wars has some of the best Motifs I've ever heard in a game. Its a big unfair because I met my wife in presearing guild wars 1 even before nightfall came out but hearing some of these themes hits like a giant wave of nostalgia. We even slipped a guild wars song into the wedding and surprisingly a few people noticed. I love the guild wars music a lot. second only to Star Citizen right now in terms of epic themes

Tyria: Got rid of all horses so they couldn't fraternize with the centaurs
Cantha: After their heroic leader was killed in a horse accident, they mistrusted all horses and got rid of them

The overlaying L and F to get an E is particularly impressive conspiracy crafting.
An extra bit with Gwen that you missed was that there's some point during Nightfall where you're in the Underworld and meet a spirit named Sarah looking for her daughter, Gwen. It was hinted at that an NPC in Pre-Searing Ascalon named Sarah was Gwen's mother (though not explicitly confirmed), and players assumed that because the dead mother couldn't find the spirit of her daughter this meant that Gwen was in fact still alive somewhere. Sarah's identity was confirmed when EOTN was released and you could return to encounter her with Gwen in your party, triggering a reunion conversation. Following the last round of story updates (which included Gwen and Kieran Thackery's wedding) they even added a bit so you can go back with Kieran also in the party and have Gwen introduce her new husband to her.

What about Tybalt? His 'apples' are obviously a metaphore for some shady substance. He even looks like he isn't sober most of the time. I bet it's that darned dust...that T6 stuff can get really strong sometimes.
The Du Du Dum is not a coincidence, because is not just those 3 notes, are also the notes before that are repeated in the new music. Is common that the soundtrack for movies or games have "motifs" that play as basic music. This is why the Tengu has the same motif, even not all the notes are the same. The Du du dum has the same motif from the first trailer from the 2016 one.
To addd fuel to the Lord Faren is E conspiracy: At the end of Season 2 “Party Politics” Anise says, “…I did however receive a mysterious message signed only with the initial E. The note said that…. Reminding her of this will be enough to make her drop her lie faster than Faren’s dignity.” Both mentioned in same conversation.

In the 2022 LS1 patch they removed the stone tower that Teqatl crashes into and destroys everytime they leave the water.
It's just a permanent pile of rubble now. It's super bizarre. Idk if the system to rebuild it after the event broke and it's still there in fresh maps, or if it's just gone. Needs more investigating...

For the song one I dare you to search Epona's Song from The Legend of Zelda, which has the same three notes, implying that both Zelda and GW universes are connected, and since Epona is a horse, that fuels the theory of the existence of horses in Tyria! It's all connected!
Well, I came up with a theory that Goddess Lysa is actually here all along - disguised as Queen Jennah and countess Anise. And I'm still convinced that I'm onto something here
Can you investigate/post about another BIG conspiracy in GW2 - The Wizard's Tower! This has been around since GW1! What's inside it? Who owns it? What's it purpose? There must be some wacky ideas about what this place is about.

I suspect E. could be either Ellen Kiel, or Evon Gnashblade, they both had something to gain from the letters and manipulation of the commander.
When I first leaned that Jenna has no shoes, I was like "AHA! She's been chasing the treasure mushroom!!!". In my mind she has the super rare invisible boots on 😉😂

I could see Mr. E being Evon Gnashblade. A market owning baron? He would have people throughout all of Tyria and beyond. He wouldn't want to have a hand in anything the commander does outright, but rather feed important information under an alias. Mr. E.

Arenanet plays and more specifically Maclaine Diemer plays around with the music a lot. Even with the music from EOD you can hear references to the original music. I don't know who composed the two trailers' music, but I think it could be possible that they played with the first trailer's music. :P
My personal ledge mystery is that during Claw of Jormag one NPC always shouts "Watch the ledges" and I still don't know to this day what ledges he's talking about.

And, about horses, i think that they didnt put horses because WoW has horses as mounts. If in Tyria horses are present, it will be mandatory to use it as mounts (not skimmers, raptors, chacal, or others). Then, they prefered to use other mounts, but forgot to not mention horses on conversations or storyes.
Ye know it's odd I never noticed that. There's such a large variety of Undead Animals, yet not even they feature Horses
i believe Anet answered where Gwen was all that time in mini DLC that explains how she was a slave to the Charr.
I still subscribe to the theory that E is Evinnia from GW1, a character who mysteriously disappeared during War of Kryta. Livia used the scepter of Orr to extend her life, perhaps she did so for Evinnia too Õ_Õ
My head canon is, that queen jenna is not a human or at least dosn't act in the interest of the humans. Like she is a bad ruler, her only advances are one in her glory, orders exectutions without a trail, let's ppl get killed she deemd useless, has a personal murder cult, and so on ... BUT every citizen likes her. no, adores her. on an absolutly creepy level.
yeah she defently useses her mesmer magic to control the citizens. and her magic is far beyond what any other human has achived (on their own).
If you look at the New Kaineng City's busy marketplace loading screen then go there in game, most of the city's citizens have disappeared ... where have they all gone ???
The trailer-music composition is an easter-egg or something like that. Maybe not officially confirmed by Anet, but its a fairly logical one in the mind of a composer. They are/were trying to build a franchise. E.g It would be weird if the Star Wars theme was completely different in a sequel, right? Nice find though.
BTW what real world (conspiracy) THEORY is actually dangerous? I suppose critical mis/dis information could potentially be dangerous, but only really in possession of someone who isn't all there and only if they practice or acted upon it.
Most of the conspiring happens in plain sight and is also known as making deals or business.

To be frank, Queen Jennah is probably showing off her native Krytan heritage, especially since most Krytans have predominantly Ascalonian genes in the 250 years that passed.

E isn't one person. It is actually Evon Gnasblade and Captain Elen Kiel working in concert while pretending to be rivals. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
Jeremy Soule is known to recycle a lot of his works. So no surprise that some music sounds similar. For example the TES 3 Morrowind theme and the Guild Wars Prophecies theme sound exactly the same if you listen closely.

*glasses nerd teeth* WELL ACTUALLY i remember reading somewhere that core Tyria banned horses because it caused too many friendly fire during the human vs centaur wars... because humans on horses looked a lot like centaurs from afar.

Okay so I have some headcanon that's probably riddled with flaws but I really like it anyway. Obligatory spoiler warning here.
So I think the Pale Tree is not what she appears to be. I suspect she is a string pulling mastermind that is manipulating the Commander into doing her bidding. The Pale Tree, and by extension the Sylvari, were meant to be Mordremoth's minions. I think the Pale Tree was intended to take on a General role in Mordremoth's army and by virtue of that fact was privy to his plans. Plans including killing Zhaitan to get his magic. As we know kill an Elder Dragon and its magic is distributed to the other Elder Dragons in an all you can eat, first come first serve fashion. So the Pale Tree manipulates the Commander into killing Zhaitan for Mordremoth but little does the jungle dragon know that his plans have been commandeered by the Pale Tree for the greater good. I don't think she's evil or power hungry, but I don't think she's as innocent and goodie goodie as she appears.
This is however all in my head having not played EOD yet. I am hoping that this isn't all blown out of the water when I finally can afford to get the new expansion.
There were multiple Pale Trees, as one of the Sylvari stories features an unknown being hunted by the Nightmare Court for secrets that could destroy the grip of the tablet over the rest of their people.
Yet we never encounter any others of these strange Sylvari when we go to the jungle.
Pretty much they cut Malyck from Heart of Thorns, so his origin is still a mystery.
I believe she(an the other pale trees) were meant to be mordremoths champions but as her story goes she was accidentally taken out of his reach(which is funny cuz its not that far away), and she had been taught the teachings of the peaceful centaur man and took it as rules of life. We deserve to go back to her story as we havent seen or heard from her in a very long time after the mordremoth dragon attack.
I think last time E was mentioned in season 3 ep 4. You could find some letters that E sent to Caudecus

There are no horses in GW2 because charrs wanted to eat them and humans too, so then the horses decided to become centaurs and fight back. i know because I saw them :)

She is not crazy about the HoT and original trailer, they are built on the same motif. It is like Beethoven's 5th Symphony, the first and third part sound different but they use the same tonal cadence and rhythm just different keys and tempo, with a few of the notes inverted. For a more modern example, Final Fantasy 6 did a similar thing with each character. The opera scene is just Celes's theme song slightly changed
So I'm not the only one that thinks Faren is too Faren to be true! XD

Jackal skin feels more like a horse to me, the way it gallops *day dreams* I am constantly shocked they are so in on this, they won't even do april's fool horse thing. I have my fingers crossed for 2023 april's fool having a horse thing (like that dog park in 2022 but horses?). I am also shocked we do have a Seahorse in fishing we can throw out for Karma. It has 'horse' in its name. It's a horse. There's horses. In the sea.
