49 gram, wireless medium mouse without a perforated top shell. that is just insane. great work bob, its always a treat seeing your work on here
Crazy hey.. with the stock scroll it would be 47g I reckon.
@Dawson Flynni'll add that to my list of things that didn't happen
@Jaxtyn Lawson FAKE! bots
49 grams! This is now the G Pro X Super Superlight!
I call it the featherlight 😜... given the modded scroll wheel is 1g heavier than the stock it’s a light mouse 🐁

And guess what the quality will now be shit and will creak and squeak like fuck

Bob is going to become the Taeha Types for mice xD
Maybe, just need to get my name/channel out there more.
@@Beardedbob you're well on your way I think modding mice will be the new custom keyboard hobby

it is upsetting how you only have around 20k subs, your content is brilliant and much appreciated on youtube, reddit, discord etc. Thanks so much Mr Bob!
Thank's Bulks Random Vids I appreciated the support. 20k is good given I'm in a real niche... I mean not everyone can handle a mouse being cut up like I do haha.. Granted the data/stats are useful to help understand if things are worth swapping or buying
wow Amazing craftsmanship, man, you should open a studio dedicated to customizing the mouse. To be honest, I would be very willing to spend money on such a lightening transformation.
You have come a long way from 11 subscribers till here. Great job buddy, keep it up. Am really happy to be one of your first viewers of your channel. Still remember you playing a PubG session when it came out :D
See sure have come along away and the channel has taken many different angles like PubG or 7dtd 🤪.... Glad you are still around after this time so thanks for the support and let's see what happens over the next few years..
P.s I had a lot less grey hair when I started 😹
@@Beardedbob Those grey hair are well earned my friend. Your experience has become elegance. And all that dedication reflects on your hard-work. Wish you all the best and keep up the great work. I have learned so much from you. Thank you!!
Great mod Bob! That weight reduction is insane, and I'm betting the new glides/slides make this thing a dream to use! Very clean, very cool :)
hey dude... glad you like it :-)....Tiger ICE on it are the way forward atm... smooth gliding 4tw
Bro I would literally do anything to get replacement side buttons. The stock ones are trash 😂
Use this link abs your dreams can come true with replacement side switches shop.beardedbob.com/collections/customised-gaming-mouse/products/logitech-g-pro-x-superlight-wireless-customisation
they're so mushy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You would literally do anything to get them, yet you didn’t get them? What are you even saying. You can replace them yourself easily, and mod them to be even more comfortable. What’s holding you back?
you're videos are very educational we learn a lot and i wonder if you ever thought about making modded mice for everyone via orders ?
I actually think this would be great considering the excellent work you put on these mice.
Keep going Bob !
Already have from a yeah ago. I tend to not advertise it as I want to concentrate more on YT and the mods. People were asking a lot as they couldn't find someone so I started to offer this as a service shop.beardedbob.com/
@@Beardedbob My bad didn't know you had one , looks good i may custom one of my mouse soon so gotta check it :)
Thanks !
Hey Bob, is it possible to change the click of the scrollwheel? And if its possible how is the switch for it called?
And which one could you recommend for a mor tactile feeling?
Hello! @BeardedBob, do you know the OEM screw type for the Superlight? Or maybe, which is the screwdriver type that works best with the oem screws? Thanks!
Crazy seeing this after the RJN video shows the medium size Finalmouse at 46g. You managed to get a bigger plastic mouse with no holes down to within 3g of the Starlight-12.
Without the Pwnage scroll wheel it would be within 1g 😜... crazy eh... Logitech just need to tweak it a bit.
how can you open the mice? can you show how cause my mouse on and off switches is too loose if i move it up and down and the mice wont open
What are the differences between between the stock encoder an the kailh?
I can't stand the stock one I tried to add a little tribo lube to try an smooth it out a bit, but it did little to nothing lol
Hey Bob, have you ever had issues trying to do a battery swap? I just attempted on a ROG keris, did not use temp wire and it's not charging. I did not solder though, just spun together. Can that be the cause?
Have you think about honeycomb the mouse body and even honeycomb the internal structure? Would that significantly lower the weight?
wow insane video, what product do you use to remove the micro switches pls ? (6min)
Amazing, I recently acquired it and I see that it has the potential to become even lighter, almost to the level of the Finalmouse Starlight-12.
This is next level mice modding :-p
HELP ! I lost those metal tension springs of the scroll wheel and both Left mouse and right mouse buttons :( I am unable to click anything!
hey brother, just wanted to show some appreciation for making these videos. they're a good resource for people like me who want to learn how to do this kind of stuff ourselves. thank you mate
Glad I could help
Where did you buy the drill?
Could you post an in depth guide to how to replace the side buttons since it's so fragile?
This!!
So inspiring, thank you for the vid. Can I ask where you get your JST connectors for the 100mah battery?
glad you enjoy the content. I just reuse the current Logi battery JST connector and repurpose it.
What temperature did you set the soldering iron?
The Red Kailh Encoder is 7mm or 9mm?

Thanks jtuki glad you liked it 👍
Which scroll wheel did you use and why encoder?
How i can buy only Scroll Wheel to GPX (without mouse)?
The clicks sound so much better now! Would you recommend getting the normal GPro to mod over the Superlight?
It’s a question I’m trying to work it out my self. I’m not sure yet.
Great video! Tip: Get a hot air station for desoldering. Perfect tool for desoldering micro components.
Good tip! already purchased one now for that reason.
Can you recommend any silent switches for Logitech Pro Wireless? I play mostly in my living room corner and annoy the crap out of anyone trying to watch tv or relax in the same room :)
Limited options but some people have used these below. I've not tired them yet and they aren't a normal mouse switch that you would expect to find. I'm planning to test some out so keep watching and they might appear. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383863968838?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=383863968838&targetid=1140163974609&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9046449&poi=&campaignid=12125451065&mkgroupid=120711382790&rlsatarget=pla-1140163974609&abcId=9300480&merchantid=6995734&gclid=Cj0KCQiAvvKBBhCXARIsACTePW-4I3DfkJSfj4OAPNEZnoO0NTChbyVF78M8-kMU0U1-madZtBJDh9QaAmp7EALw_wcB

Just wondering if you could do a Razer Viper 8K mod where you put the internals of that mouse into a Razer Viper Mini with the new 2nd Generation main buttons along with the 8K sensor. Do you think is even possible as I just luv the Viper Mini?
Thanks man glad you enjoy the content.
Maybe I need to measure the PCB. You would also need to mount it so how if it did fit. I want to test the RVU in a RVM shell.
Dustproof gold 60M is better Kailh M 8.0?
how much would you sell a logitech x superlight with Kailh GM 8.0 and weigt reductions ?
The Logitech G pro X Superlight has some of the worst side buttons and skates I’ve ever felt in the last few years on a mouse. Upgrading the side buttons and skates seems essential, thank you for making a video showing the missing process.
i love the default skates wish i knew whats available to purchase like them

This is the only video I have seen modding the side buttons (surface mount switches). Any tips on how to solder and desolder them since you did a really clean job on them in the video.
I'll be doing a dedicated video on them, its coming soon.
@@Beardedbob Did you ever make this video? I’m hearing a lot of talk about “hot air” method being better for this, well I’m not very sure how that works but I really want to know. Pleeeease make a dedicated side button swap tutorial.
Are the new side buttons noticeably less mushier than the Omrons? I'm considering swapping then out myself and assuming a switch with higher actuation would be less mushy.
Not massively. The swap is more to prevent failure as the Omron sides stop working also.
I need to do some more tests through to compare
Have you customized a razor basilisk if u haven’t you do weight reduction cause that’s what I would love ❤️ to see but might just be me
I’ve not yet but it’s on the list. The RVU is first 👍 I’ll stream it also on twitch.tv/beardedbob so people can see it live
@Harrison Wright like I want one but I’m broke and first see him build it first
@Harrison Wright yeah but I’m just deadass broke. But I just have to see it done first
I’ll consider modding just superlight maybe in a year or so 😂 don’t wanna fuck anything up rn that’s for sure. Very clean professional modding job 👌🏼

Things are about to get crazy with wireless mice....weight reduction coming on the G703 soon I just need to edit it but I have streamed it live before on www.twitch.tv/beardedbob
Does the new Kailh decoder fix the issues with scroll wheel failing? Or was it needed for the mouse wheel swap

This is awesome. Any chance you can do some wired > wireless customs? Looking to get the Xtrfy m4 wireless if I can. Love your channel!
at the moment i've not see any mods but haven't looked to far.. if you know of some post some info.
As a keyboard modder or I guess a custom keyboard enthusiast this scares me very much. Always thought of doing mouse mods but after seeing this I don’t think I will be able to do any of that 😂 Looks so hard and looks like u need to be precise
You will be fine, just get in there with your tools :-p
Nice video Bob
Thanks man something a little different. A crazy amount of mods on this one
Are there any encoder that fits without cutting into the plastic/frame? I feel like the stock one will get worse, loud, and loose after usage. Already returned one due to that reason :/
Yep the 8mm encoder is the direct swap. The cutting into the buttons was for the larger scroll wheel rather than the encoder.
Hi Beardedbob, I just bought a G Pro X SL to replace my regular G Pro and the weight difference is definitely noticeable, can't imagine what an even lighter one would feel like! I also have a Roccat Kain 122 that I really like the shape of but it's just too heavy and from what I've seen of teardowns a lot of the weight is on the top shell. The click tensioning mechanism looks quite complicated but has a lot of excess plastic but I don't know what I can or can't remove like you have shown here. I have a paracord on the way for it so would be convenient to do some serious weight reduction while it's open, still want to keep the stock look though. Have you had the chance to look at the Kain series?
I have some but haven't yet as I've been distracted.
@@Beardedbob Excellent, keep up the great content and looking forward the video when you get to it
thank, glad you like the content and enjoy the GPW SL. Think about some Tiger ICE on there if you haven't czcams.com/video/NfGV6QXCzKQ/video.html
What if you 3D print a custom shell on top of all the customization you did?
Possible but a lot of work.
Not sure if it's placebo, but the switches sound much better. The stock ones sound a bit hollow in comparison.
Do you happen to know if it’s possible to buy the little wire that holds the scroll wheel down with tension? Mine flew across my room somewhere when I was reassembling lol. It works fine and is held in place by the mounting but makes an unpleasant sound while scrolling sometimes. Thanks!
You can't buy it or not that I've seen.
Can any one provide a like to where you can find a 3.5 volt 100 mah batter like that
I didn't understand, the original battery has 3 lines, which one is disposable? Why?
white its used to temp monitoring but worth without it, just need to ensure it doesn't over heat but I've not heard of one dong so.
is there a problem removing the leds when modifying gpw?
The defuser on the shell? Of the led it's self?
Is there a website where I can customize a mouse
Yep here shop.beardedbob.com
I hate that Omron switches, my G903 has double click :/ and my warranty is gone, I will try this kailh 8.0
what a beast gaming mouse
Yeah this one was 🤯👌🏻
If i wanted a g pro x superlight and I just put all the options for leave stock then is it a 50 dollar g pro x superlight?
Then you just need to buy it direct from Logitech :-)
when u see all the crap thats in a logitech mouse u gotta wonder if they could have gotten it down to 50g themselfs if they actually had the balls to change
easy.... but they would have had to change the hole design and how logitech make their mice in general.
They still have to make it structurally sound. These mods hurt the overall durability of the mouse.
@@Triannosaurus 100s of mice have less plastic in them with the same strength. Most logitech mice looks like an engineers big breakthrough project
@@Bollalillo yeah and they’re known and renowned for their standard of build quality, they’re not going to compromise their overall quality just to squeeze 10 less grams. Not to mention ligutech already has the lightest wireless mouse on the market with the superlight..... pretty impressive to me that they made such a sturdy light mouse (with no holes) lmao
@@Triannosaurus No there are lighter once, and i dont care anymore tbh. Sitting while u defend logitech like a white knight :P im not saying logitech is bad at all, my main mouse is a logitech. It was just a point
Is there a way to pretty much cut a mouse in half. I have a viper mini and small hands and the grip I like needs it to be slightly shorter. Any tips?
People do it, I've seen it on the Finalmouse UL2 and Model O www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/ji9t9k/so_i_cut_the_bottom_of_my_model_o_off_and_i_like/
is there a risk of using 2 pin battery instead of 3 pin? what does the other pin does in the battery?
The white wire is used for some monitoring on some mice on the Logitech it doesn't seem to affect it but on the Model O wireless it doesn't. There is always a risk changing a battery you just have to decided if you want to take that risk.
Hi bob, first time here and love your content. I think your content is very high quality and if I might suggest, some better/professional thumbnails are all that I feel your channel is lacking.
Thanks glad you have found the content. I've been playing with some thumbnails for a while but i'm open to anyone showing me what they can do and maybe we can work a deal out.

is there a tutorial; that isn't so sped up?
Do you think you can make a video on how to change the side switches on the g pro x superlight?
I need to, keep meaning to.. will drop one
the plastic like material seems to warp when you switched the side button switches, would this be of high risk of failure when one would try to do it themselves?
the side buttons one this as the most risky... i personally wouldn't' try it as you are 99.9% chance of messing them up.
@@Beardedbob is there another mod i could do to make the buttons feel better then other than changing the switches? I came from an old wired g502 which was extremely clicky/tactile on every button but all of the superlight buttons just feels "eh" compared to it
Would happily pay you to sort out the side mouse buttons especially the first as the clicking has become mushy, the hold to click you notice when crouching in games as it jitters around when holding it in, only had it 6 months and its breaking! :(
Hello friend I hope you are well, I wanted to know at what temperature you remove the solder, I tried to change the scroll of a G Pro Superlight and the PCB burned :(
depends I normally run around 360
do you want to make a stage 2)
with a perforation of the upper frame?
Stage 2 = lighter battery.
thanks for having mouse parts up for sale, ill gladly pay a little more than wait for a month and a half (also the coating on my superlight felt really off ever since i got it, do you have any ideas why that might be?)
The coating on the GPWSL isn't great mine rubbed off in 2 months with imo reasonable use.
Hey Bob ami I missed the spring that goes on the mouse wheel is very necessary to put it?? You have some solution please
nar the spring holds down the scroll wheel in case it pops up. I've removed a lot of them and zero complaints, so wouldn't worry about it.
@beardedbob aaa a thousand thanks Bob I would love to live on your side to modify my g pro x wireless but I'm stuck in latam

on the base is there any sharp area's where you have cut it? if so they need removing as they will be snagging.
What is the encoder used for? Is it necessary for replacing mouse 1&2

@@Beardedbob Oh last thing what switch would you personally recommend? I prefer a light speedy switch in general. ( I hear that khail 8.0's are really good but I have no idea)
@@AeseEditsApex in case you're still curious, the two options that come to mind are getting a small batch of gm 8.0 switches and picking out two of the lighter ones (they are 65 +/- 10 grams to actuate, so light ones can be lighter than the stock Omrons), or you could get japanese Omrons d2f-01 that are 55g +/- 10g. The Japanese Omrons are taller than normal switches so you have to sand down the bit of the mouse that pushes on them (and then you can't go back to using regular size switches later).
Both are super good switches.
