I have a bunch of ryobi tools and i abuse them with no care in the world. Now i also have other brand tools like dewalt and makita, which i use gently. Because of Ryobi's cost, i justify it being tossed around quite a bit more.

Interesting take on Ryobi. I have had Craftsman, Rigid and now Dewalt cordless tools. The first 2 I had to replace because it was cheaper to buy a new set than a new battery. I am now smarter with batteries and can rebuild them if needed. Having said that, Dewalt pissed me off when they changed form factor to the 20V batteries. The adapter they have to run my 18V tools kills Li-Ion batteries. I have been wanting an impact wrench for a long time, removing wheels, lawnmower blades etc. Fast forward to the cordless ratchet Ryobi now has with the rotatable head. I hate keeping multiple battery types around like you, this one issue has turned me away from Dewalt.
