This snippet from her 2003 Australian DVD spectacular (highly-treasured) is what I reach for whenever I am depressed or unhappy. The sheer beauty of this woman's voice and her flawlessly artistic execution and phrasing of these beautiful songs makes EVERYTHING in my world RIGHT again. By the time she gets to the intro of "Wonderful, Wonderful" (the most SUBLIME sounds EVER to penetrate the human ear) the flood of endorphins has reached my brain and I'm left feeling "Wonderful, Wonderful".
Some of these songs must have evoked huge emotions for Judith having lost her husband - another testimony to her professionalism in being able to deliver these performances.
Agreed, although Livvy would've been totally out of her depth with Our Judith. Livvy and Judith were actually good mates. Both incredible people, both saw a large degree of hardship and heartbreak, met it with dignity and stoicism, sadly a rapidly dying breed of Aussie!
The moment I hear her voice, even after all these years, I am taken to a better place, completely in her control, not wanting it to end and have to return to the real world. Judith is truly a gift from God to the world, an immense talent, but humble, down to earth human being. If they hear that voice 100 years from now, or see a video, they will still understand what I am saying now.
I could not agree more Barry she has been my STAR since I was a teenager , now 71 I still think the same. Stay safe Judith for many many years to come.
A belated Happy Birthday Judith. I'm 73 now but when i was 18 i went to my very 1st concert. The Seekers came to Glasgow and my best friend asked me if i wanted to go. We both loved the show and i bought all your records after that. So all the best Judith and a happy birthday from Scotland.❤
Happy Birthday, Judith (3 July 1943... she just turned 68... AMAZING!) you have the voice of an angel... thank you Lord for blessing us with this lady!
Judith, I listen to you almost everyday and never get tired of that Angelic voice. Whether it is a song from the sixties or from 2003 at THe Royal Festival Hall, I can't seem to get enough of your beautiful sound. You are an inspiration. KEEP SINGING!
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Judith sings all of these songs in the medley with such passion and feeling, Brava, probably the best female singer in the world!!!
Judith Durham and few others belong in a class of their own. The superstars, the icons for everyone else to strive to reach the elevated stage of. Patsy Cline, or Elvis, etc,. And when they sing the world stops, to listen.
This is by far the best version of Wonderful Wonderful (one of my favorite songs)I have heard. Judith is perfect as always and the piano accompaniment is fabulous.
Im drawn back to this clip at least once a month ,i love her and the piano playing, i remember hearing her for the first time in the 60s at my mates house singing ill never find another you, when we were playing cards with our mates for money, her voice seemed to come from heaven
Just wonderful ,bringing all the happy memories back from over the years ,beautifully sung with class and style ,well done OZ for giving us Brits (and the World ) this performance in London.
Judith. You and that voice of yours are magnificent. You and the boys have entertained and kept me enthralled since you broke into the music scene in 1964. I only managed to see you in concert once in 1967 in Portsmouth. I kept my ticket stub for over 25 years to prove I had been there. You are a fantastic artist and I wish you a very happy retirement.
Another thing about a great pianist/accompanying --: Ever notice how he NEVER plays the tune she is singing? In fact, if she stopped singing, you would not know from his playing what the song is ! He strictly accompanies, which makes both him and her so great together.
I believe that this video is one of the world’s great works of art. Consider piano playing, lyrics, the transitions from song to song, over all presentation, the smile that says “I’m done,” the way the video blocks negative thoughts, etc.
perfection and like someone else posted she takes me to a better place every time I hear her sing .if there was a lady sent down from heaven to make me feel good in my heart and peaceful it's her
Judith could run with the best in any genre she chose. If you want to hear her do amazing things in rock n roll check out ''Put a Little Love in Your Heart'' and get ready to boogie!
Because I cannot stand Barbra Streisand most women think I just hate female singers. Wrong. I LOVE Judith Durham. Oh, that she were as ubiquitous as Streisand! One further remark. In the first number (You Belong to Me) her pianist has lilted in a harmony I have never heard before. A touch of genius in musical arrangement ...!
Thanks for the response BillDFC. I looked for Jo Stafford's version of Wonderful Wonderful and couldn't find it. Therefore, I will stick with my original decision that Judith Durham's version is the best I have heard and this is one of my favorite songs. However, ...Another you, by the Seekers is the best overall. That's my story and I am sticking to it!
@OldiesForever33 This Footage is from Judith's 2003 concert at The Royal Festival Hall in London when Judith celebrated her 60th birthday, a fantastic concert to be at and good to see some famous faces among the audience. Judith is a true legend in her own lifetime, fabulous lady in every sense of the word, not at all ike some the trash about on stage these days!
Barry Waller below has just about said it all regarding Judith Durham’s voice and wonderful singing talent. I can’t help noticing that 36 people have given this a thumbs down which means that their at least 36 complete idiots who have watched this video.
How glad am I that Judith didn't have much to do with the usota. That cesspool would have slowly eaten her. We are so lucky she stayed away from that s hole and stayed true to her craft, her dignity, herself! The world loves you Judith, and I'm still totally besotted!
The First Lady of song. She has the WOW factor but has never known she has it. Such a beautiful personality to go with it makes her the stand out singer of the last 55 years.
Let's get a million views for this special lady
Is there anything this marvelous, precious, talented woman can not sing? She is simply one of the great female singers of all time.
RIP beautiful lady 😢

Voice of an Angel , R.I.P Judith.
Rest in Peace you angel
Some of these songs must have evoked huge emotions for Judith having lost her husband - another testimony to her professionalism in being able to deliver these performances.
If 68-year old Judith was discovered today she'd still become a superstar.
It is so fitting that the years have been so kind to her. She has aged beautifully. But, most importantly, her voice has never left her.
We're the lucky ones
Still the BEST Voice in the World
i'm a grown man sitting with tears in my eyes ..........the voice of an angel
I would love to hear a duet between
Judith and Olivia
So sad they have left us
Considering what the world is today
Agreed, although Livvy would've been totally out of her depth with Our Judith. Livvy and Judith were actually good mates. Both incredible people, both saw a large degree of hardship and heartbreak, met it with dignity and stoicism, sadly a rapidly dying breed of Aussie!
I felt in love with her way back in the sixties. She was lovely lady with a beautiful voice. R.I.P.
Goodbye dear Judith
I can listen to her sing a song I never liked and it transforms into an entirely rewarding experience!!!!!
It's impossible not to fall in love with her just a little bit. One of the most natural and sublime singers / voices of the 20th.century.
Regards.
My life has been truly blessed by Judith Durham. Every time I hear her voice, my heart swells with sweet content.
The moment I hear her voice, even after all these years, I am taken to a better place, completely in her control, not wanting it to end and have to return to the real world. I've been listening to a Judith Durham CZcams concert for the past 90 minutes. It doesn't get better than this!

I learned a while ago that I would never hear a voice that would move my heart like Judith Durham.
Judith, I listen to you almost everyday and never get tired of that Angelic voice. Whether it is a song from the sixties or from 2003 at THe Royal Festival Hall, I can't seem to get enough of your beautiful sound. You are an inspiration. KEEP SINGING!

@1690hilly - 07Jan12 - 03:08 - I do it every few days myself. Tonight I am loving the laugh lines around her Judith Durham eyes.
Agree .. . I just stumbled across this video and I am so pleased.

A great Singer
Does anybody else hear some similarity to the voice of the also great Vera Lynn?
Judith is for me up there with Judy Garland and Edith Piaf.
Beautiful lady.
