So I live in Central Massachusetts and my girlfriend and I went to see you guys in Portland last night .
There are two Cross insurance places, there’s a cross insurance center on the border of Bangor Maine , and a cross insurance arena in Portland , my girlfriend booked a hotel in Portland on the boarder of Bangor where the cross insurance center is. She thought she booked it for the arena and she thinks the internet got confused. That was a 5 hour drive from us and a 2 hour drive from the venue that you guys were playing. We got all the way to the hotel at 6:30 with the thought that the venue was down the street. and then put the venue address into the gps and it said 1 hour 50 minutes, my girlfriend was in tears . We canceled the hotel , and started driving back, we weren’t sure if we were going to just go home because everything was just so messed up or if we would go to the show. We decided to drive to the show after 20 minutes of us both getting upset and frustrated at the situation . We had to fill up the car again, and we made it for 8:40 hoping that you didn’t go on yet. We had asked a staff member where they entrance was and she told us she wasn’t sure if they were still open for entry. She called on her walkie and luckily they were . We ran to the front , and went in . A man in the front said you guys hadn’t gone on yet . We were so relieved . We got in and got some stuff from the merch table and then went to our seats. When we got to our seats , they were taken , and the girl that was sitting there said that they were sitting there to be next to their friends . She had offered to move but I didn’t want to make her do that. So we sat in some seats in a section that looked like it was abandoned . A staff member came and told us that we couldn’t sit there, so we told her what happened and she told us to sit in some seats that nobody had been in all night, which they were closer than the seats we had got. We caught two songs from The Used and caught you guys .
After the show , neither of us felt up to driving 3 hours back home, I had been up since 5 AM and I had worked from 6 to 11 before our road trip and she had been up since 6 and just couldn’t go back to sleep. We saw a holiday inn across the street from the venue, so when we got back to our car we drove there and luckily they had a room for us .
Yesterday was a roller coaster of emotions , but I’m glad I got to see my favorite band
