    shocking amount of people really don't care for super35 sensors when they can really accomplish the exact same image quality as a full frame. size really doesn't matter.

      The sensor has a great personality

    • @Bo_Hazem
      @Bo_Hazem Před 2 měsíci

      Nah, man. Size extremely matters. It only doesn't matter if you stick to base ISO and don't need to push ISO too high like the A7SIII and FX3. I have the A7SIII, getting A7Rv later this month, and gonna get the FX30 as well as a B-cam. It can as well be a great A-cam, just let's not twist facts. I think Sony should release stacked APS-C sensors though. Also medium format is much better than FF it just doesn't have enough support to be sensible for filmmaking.

    • @jorky
      @jorky Před 2 měsíci +4

      @@Bo_Hazem ok you had me up until you said medium format. i understand that although super35 has been the standard for literally ever in filmmaking, and the recent push for full frame in cinema looks to be very promising with a few dope and accessible cameras showing up in triple A movies. But medium format? why? there is little to no benefit and slower. but yeah nah mate i get what you're saying about the ISO. I'd like to think that the fx30 is perfect for anyone taking filmmaking seriously and want to start out with a camera that can play the part. it's packed full of the right features (aside from shutter angle apparently) but arguably sets the correct limitations and creates an understanding of what you can and can't get away with; allowing for critical thinking to take over and find solutions around the limitation of it's sensor. i think that in itself is very fun.

    • @Bo_Hazem
      @Bo_Hazem Před 2 měsíci

      @@jorky I'm dead serious about medium format, have you seen their pictures? They are insane. Large format is viable as well for proper 16K to kill iMAX. Also I don't disagree with you, just wildlife documentary and photography can be punishing. Those buying $13K lenses aren't crazy. I can manage with only FX30 myself and will get one for streaming, it's brilliant. But FF is just better, mate. That doesn't mean S35 is bad.

      @@Bo_Hazembros talking like medium format has been a thing in video for eons. Medium format isn’t even a video term. Now the Fuji GFX100 and its mark ii has now made an interesting introduction to the industry as like a mini “nearly” 65mm digital large format. Neither is “better”. The only thing that makes them better or worse is their dynamic range and the level of engineering behind its readout, processing power etc. ISO is only extra effective if you have good dynamic range. ARRI just made an ARRI Alexa 35 that covers just a bit more than Super 35 and has insane dynamic range. So by definition their super 35 is by far better than most all your FF cameras. 😂 we’re also not trying to “kill” IMAX, but rather democratize it. Medium format provides a new larger field of view that is similar to IMAX, but isn’t as large as the actual Alexa 65. The newly announced Blackmagic Large Format 65mm 17k cinema camera will provide probably the most affordable true cinema package that will be fine to fully democratize Large Format 65mm IMAX. On the other hand, I am assuming you are referring to the Old Fast Glass cinema build that repurposed the GFX100ii to be like an “almost” 65mm IMAX competitor and agreed that it’s so cool. Just don’t rip on different format like Super 35 when they have been the gold standard formats for like most of the entire existence of cinema itself, while using terms that live on technicalities. The quality of the sensor and who made it makes it better, not the format of the sensor. And that rule only applies to digital as well. Celluloid Film Super 35 cameras are just as great as larger formats. They just capture a different field of view. Which is entirely a production decision where it might be better, or worse depending on why they pick it. 😂 No hate bro 😎 it just that you can’t just say “it’s just better, mate” 🤣🤣🤣 the technically best consumer cameras doesn’t mean it IS the best for the whole Industry. But it can drive innovation! 😊

      @Tugela60 Před 2 měsíci

      Likewise, if you can buy an FX30, why would you want any of those other cameras. The only reason people are/were enamored with Blackmagic is that it was sold as a "cinema" camera to people with grandious ideas but not the income to actually compete with real pros.

    I do a lot of online corporate video editing, so I get a lot of projects from a whole host of cameras.
    I know when a Sony FX30 has been used because the footage is usually really bad. Not at all because of the camera! It's the people using them!
    I guess a lot of beginners get them because it's one of the best cameras for the money.
    But the amount of shaky, over exposed, cranked shutter, poorly WB and badly framed footage Ive seen from these cameras has made me never want one! Haha!

    • @Tugela60
