Hi Stella! 👋 For the dirty baking sheet, sprinkle a liberal amount of baking soda over it, take a wet sponge and scrub in a circular motion... It may require a bit of elbow grease... Once you've got it sparkling, ✹ use parchment paper in the future and it will keep your baking sheet looking new with minimal cleaning. 😊 For your neck, try taking a hot bath 🛁 and dip a hand towel in the hot 🌡water, wring it out, and wrap it around your neck. Also, keep massaging it with your hands and it should eventually go away.

what's on the pan is probably baked on oil or other fat. You could try scrubbing it with baking soda. Another thing to try is put it in a garbage bag with ammonia, close the bag up, and let it sit like that for several hours, like overnight. That technique works on barbecue grill grates. The ammonia vapors loosen up what's burnt on, and then it can be scrubbed off.

The spine is very easy to knock out of whack. I've literally spent my whole life with spine issues, so that's something I am intimately familiar with. For one, sleeping with your body and head at different angles can do this, as can sleeping on a bed or pillow that's either lumpy or collapsed or old.
Most often, the issue is spinal discs bulging, where they partially collapse on one side, which causes them to bulge on the opposite side, which impinges the nerve on that side at that juncture.
Also, do NOT use heating pads for that. Heat is good for muscle issues, as it stimulates blood flow into the muscle that helps relieve it. But with nerve pain, heat actually makes it more inflamed than it already is, so you actually want to do the opposite. So use a flexible ice pack or a bag of frozen peas, wrapped in a thin towel so it doesn't get too cold too fast. Use it for about 15-20 minutes at a time.
Based on how you're moving, your disc is bulging to the right side, which is why you can't turn to the right easily. Also, based on where you're grabbing and what's being affected, I would say that it's likely your C3-C4 disc that's affected.
The C3-C4 and C6-C7 discs are the ones most commonly affected. The difference is, the C3-C4 affects the top of your shoulder and arm, whereas the C6-C7 affects the back of the shoulder and bottom of your arm.
A decent chiropractor can help relieve the pain and put the disc back into place with some well-placed spinal manipulation. If you can't find a decent one nearby, either a massage or occupational therapist can often make a good substitute. I have seen several of both, and both have helped me in the past.
Unfortunately, I have spent 42 of my 49 years dealing with spinal problems and pain, and even had 5-level cervical spine laminectomy and fusion surgery 2 years ago (which unfortunately led to severe complications that put me out of my job just over 2 years ago, and has me bedridden the last 10 months).
But spinal issues, especially bulging discs and degenerative disc disease (DDD) are among the most common issues that adults over 30 have, especially if you have a job that involves being on your feet a lot, or is physically oriented.
And in fact, adults over 30 generally experience these issues on a very common basis, and they tend to get worse with age (which is why you see many people in their 70s or older with severe spine issues, hunched over, etc).
Advil is good for an OTC (over the counter) pain reliever and inflammation reducer...definitely better than Tylenol. Tylenol is good for fever reduction, but not swelling reduction. And with bulging discs, the nerve is being rubbed raw, which causes it to become enlarged and inflamed, which is where your pain stems from. This is why a couple of Advil every 4-6 hours and icing it can really help. Plus, ice helps numb the pain, so it has that additional analgesic effect.
Another key that can help in the future is this: As much as possible, turn your whole body when turning, rather than whipping your head around. Every time part of your spine is out of line with the rest, you run the risk of doing damage. This is why whiplash in rear-end car accidents is the most common injury, bar none...because your main spine is being kept relatively stationary by your seat belt, but your head isn't, so it is whipped suddenly and violently backward, then forward (or the opposite, if you rear-end someone else), which the spine is not meant to do.
It's just like with lifting, when they say to lift with your legs and not your back...to bend your knees and take the load on your hamstrings va your knees or low back...same thing here. Put the stress of turning on your whole body at once, which spreads the stress out, rather than on your cervical spine, which is much more vulnerable.

    Hey Stella.
I’m a family nurse practitioner. I tell my patients to use :
‱warm compresses to affected area 4-6 times daily
‱You can use ibuprofen 600 mg - 800 mg (thats 3-4 tabs at once) every 8 hours x 3 days straight, then once daily as needed from day 4 on.
‱you can also purchase lidocaine patches at any retail pharmacy and apply to affected area. Just don’t apply the warm compresses directly to the patch bc you will create a chemical burn to the skin.
*If all fails you can contact your pcp or go to urgent care and ask for muscle relaxers.

You can try an L stretch. You have to hold on to something stable and create a 90 degree angle. Basically bend over from your waste then pull back. Not too agressively but hard enough to get some tension. Keep doing it for every 10 to 15 minutes. Your doing this because you most likely have a vertebrae out of alignment and this will elongate your spine and help put things back in place. I learned this from my chiropractor. You could also find a chiropractor. They can really make you feel great. Feel better!!

Stella, can you tolerate turmeric powder ? Maybe , you need to add a little warming element in your juice, like ginger, turmeric , and other warm veggies.
We, in the east believe that too much juice is too cooling on thr body and can cause the body to have aches and pain , due to blocked qi.
Do google some research on adding warming / heating veggies to your mix of juice, like ginger, turmeric , garlic .
Cucumber is cooling, kale , brocolli can cause body stiffness if taken too much in one day .
Do check with your health practioner before starting on natural remedies, may interfere with blood thinners.
Start easy and avoid going overboard with any natural remedies,

    Hope this helps?!! â˜șïžđŸ‘

Saw the cookie sheet part. This is what I do for my greased up fire stove. Just put a thick paste of baking soda. Let it dry and wipe with a clean cloth. It should come out.

    Hey Stella
It could be a muscle spasm. That usually causes stiff neck. I can send you some information on stiff neck. Hope you guys are holding up well during these crazy times!

Hi Stella I hope your neck feels better! Just so you know, advil (ibuprofen) is not a muscle relaxer, it’s anti inflammatory, which will help you for sure but it’s not a muscle relaxer. If you go to your local pharmacy you can ask for an over the counter muscle relaxer but be careful it’ll make you drowsy! A perfect natural thing to relax your muscles is heat. So a heating pad is perfect. I also suggest going to an osteopath, they make miracles!

Try some anti-inflammatory medicine for 2 or 3 days max to see if the pain eases a bit.
Another tip of mine is hot-and-cold therapy. 15 to 20 minutes with an ice pack, then 2 hours later, 15 to 20 minutes with one of those heat packs. The ice will reduce the pain, while the heat promotes a better blood flow to the injured area.

Try Bon Ami Cleansing Powder on your pans; scrub it on, let it sit a while, then scrub it back off. It's sold next to Comet or Ajax but works better than those.

Usually you slept wrong. You need to start stretching it out even though it is going to hurt. I would also suggest 600mg - 800mg ibuprofen as that is prescription strength for pain and inflammation if you aren't already taking it.

I am a Personal trainer/ massage therapist. No heat on your neck. Stop looking down at your phone. That position makes it worse. Lie down with a rolled up towel under your neck,. Kind like a tootsie roll. You also may need to increase your mineral intake for skeletal muscle strength. That it. Easy fix.

A massage would be perfect as I'm a therapist who's owned her own business for 12 years and still working. She could definitely get one during the pandemic. She would stay masked up as well as the therapist. And if it made her more comfortable she could bring her own face covering for the headrest..cloth or disposable. Most of us in the salon and Healthcare industry are making sure clients see us clean and sanitize our equipment for everyone's safety. But everyone does have the right to choose how they move about during these times and I respect it

That happened to me twice and they are tension headaches. You have to have Bart rub the neck area that is in pain. Me the pain was so bad, I had shooting pain in my neck and head when I sat up or stood up. It would shoot up from the neck and up to my head and then I felt tingling in every hair follicle.
