What was wrong with Raskin’s opening remarks? He didn’t personally insult the appearance of a member of Congress to get a rise out of them. He handled MTG’s repeat interruptions in stride.
You’re right that Ms. Crockett stooped to Green’s level by insulting her, but idk how anyone could blame her for being pushed too far for once. It’s incredibly frustrating to behave professionally in a setting like this (I’m thinking being in a court hearing or deposition) and bite your tongue while someone else is allowed to take personal jabs at you without consequence over and over. Jasmine Crockett was fed up and had a right to be.
MTG’s behavior at these sessions is so blatantly unacceptable (twice holding up huge photos of Hunter Biden engaged in sex acts, for example) and would not be permitted from any Democrat. Do you disagree?
Would it be ok for Jasmine Crockett to show pornographic photos of Donald Trump Jr and email those images to a massive list of addresses that very likely included minors? What if she incessantly piped up to make rude comments while Republicans had the floor? I don’t believe anyone really thinks she’d be allowed to get away with that.

As a non-American, I have only been following debates in the American House of Representatives for a few months now. Raskin, Crockett and Moskowitz are real standouts. The way they are combating the insanity of many of the Republicans, especially MTG, gives me hope that common sense, tolerance and reason will win in the end.
