I,m 82 yrs old and this is my favorite xmas song. I saw chuck when he first started on ed Sullivan show. I watched his funeral services on here onutube. he sure put on a good show. I still watch his videos on here. cant beet them!!!! happy 2020!!!!

Chuck Berry got the idea for this song when some guy named Marty McFly played it at the "Elves at the North Pole" Christmas Dance at Hill Valley High School. Chuck's cousin, Marvin, was supposed to play the dance but he got injured, so Marty filled in for him and played this song, and while he was playing it, Marvin called Chuck and had him listen over the phone.

Had a lady put her hand in my face saying I was rude because we didn't have any electric carts they think they have to ride because they are to lazy to walk. This song is truly a change of pace to the usual tunes,the lyrics are amusing all through, the piano is the main sound but Chuck Berry handles it well.It really is a real pity this era in music ended.Nothing like it anymore.Glad I was born in 1936,I got it all.
