6-Hour $250 Pressure Washing Job In 8 Minutes (Oddly Satisfying)

- I was on the property from close to 8AM until just after 2PM. Also this was back in January or February, hence the cold temps.
You will find pressure washing takes a significant amount of pre and post-work in addition to the actual work, and pressure washing the front and back patio along with the driveway/walkway meant disconnecting/moving/reconnecting the pressure washing setup several times (5-10 minutes each time), moving furniture and putting it back (5-10 minutes each time), I also had to get a car moved which ate up about 15 minutes. Included in that time is also the time spent filming before and after shots with the drone (probably five minutes setup/work for a few 2 second shots each time) as well as before and after pictures with the camera/tripod (probably 3 minutes each time), and also moving the camera and changing batteries during the work itself (probably 20 minutes worth of time there). Don't forget the first setup getting everything out of the truck and trailer, and the last breakdown putting it all back in and draining hoses, which is easily another 20 minutes. Lastly, cleaning with the nozzle takes much longer than a surface cleaner.
Q: Why didn't you use a surface cleaner?
A: Unfortunately my 20" surface cleaner streaks. I think it is too large for my pressure washer. Also, videos that feature my surface cleaner do more poorly than using the wand. I don't think it creates as satisfying an experience, but who knows?
Q: Isn't this a re-upload?
A: I often make multiple versions of videos for varying attention spans. The previous version was 1 minute long and was more of a gag. This video is for folks who enjoy the noise or have more time on their hands.
Q: What equipment are you using?
A: ECHO PW-4200 pressure washer and this is the turbo nozzle I used (amzn.to/34lTiN6). However, that will be overkill for most homeowners and this nozzle (amzn.to/35px24t) is a great one if you have a sub 4000psi machine.
Q: What are the specs on your pressure washer?
A: The ECHO PW4200 is a 4 gallon per minute machine with adjustable PSI up to 4200. I think the hose is non marring rubber and 50 feet.
Q: What is a turbonozzle?
A: A turbo nozzle is a rotating 0 degree tip. 0 degree tips have tremendous cleaning power but cover a very narrow surface (think pencil tip). 15 degree yellow tips have less cleaning power but cover a wider, fan shaped area (think paint brush). A turbo nozzle has the cleaning power of a 0 degree tip but covers a circular area wider than a 15 degree yellow. Kind of a best of both worlds thing.
Q: What did you charge?
A: I am still learning how to charge for pressure washing. Most jobs I am getting closer every time, but still underbidding. I do this in addition to lawn care/landscaping, so I don't do it every day. All that as a disclaimer, this job was bid at and accepted for $250.
Q: What did you use to clean?
A: Just water. No chemicals were used in this job.
Q: Do you use the client's water or bring your own?
A: Guys who do this all day will have their own buffer water tanks. I am not that into it so I just use client's water supplies. Be aware setups over 4 GPM are really when you HAVE to start bringing your own water, there just isn't enough PSI to feed it from a standard water supply (in my local area at least).
Q: What an amateur. I can tell because of how you do X, Y, or Z.
A: Spot on! I never claimed to be an expert. This is just something I do on the side to make fun videos for viewers and offer another service to clients.

Pressure washing or power washing is the use of high-pressure water spray to remove loose paint, mold, grime, dust, mud, chewing gum and dirt from surfaces and objects such as buildings, vehicles and concrete surfaces. The volume of a mechanical pressure washer is expressed in gallons or liters per minute, often designed into the pump and not variable. The pressure, expressed in pounds per square inch, pascals, or bar, is designed into the pump but can be varied by adjusting the unloader valve. Machines that produce pressures from 750 to 30,000 psi (5 to 200 MPa) or more are available. - Zábava
Despite for subs. Pathetic
Though your spelling is inaccurate your assessment is not.
congrats on the pin moron!
Despite
The dude worked hard, between the job and editing done for this (though, someone else could have done the editing in-house) and was creative with how he asked to sub versus the bland boilerplate way every other youtuber goes about it, and you're calling it desperate? Sorry, you said despite, but still, I don't think it's too much of an ask for people who enjoy stuff like this to subscribe, rather than be lost to the algorithm as time goes on.
get a job dude

Having it all cleaned adds way more value to the house than just $250. Seems like a smart decision from the owner.
House owner might paid $500 smart as real estate agent paid $250.
The guy should get at least $400 for 6 hrs job. He worked for free almost :)
@@Single_Rider.23 agreed and his under cutting competitors. Horrible business practice. $41.00/hr... come on!!! lol

Added $5000 or more to the sale price with 1 day of pressure washing
Cuz he took the after videos on a brighter time of day
I can’t unsee him painting the concrete now
You probably didn't realize it because you usually don't care and find this to be a completely useless observation. That's how most people view this.
People only clean driveways if they're bored of doing nothing indoors, or they have money that they don't want.
@@leanneb6622 possibly, or maybe they just did this to justify the unreasonably high asking price to trick the customer not to look at the problems inside the house.

This man was very wholesome. In some way i cant explain. Id love to have this guy as an uncle or something
Ngl it’s 12:30 am and this came up on my suggested page and it genuinely brought a smile to my face when the little messages and drawings were made- it makes me happy to see that people enjoy their jobs and that they know how to make it fun for them :)
The client: Why did it take so long?
Him: I may have made some drawings
that took three seconds my man... YIKES
3 things about this:
1) he made clean spots not dirty spots so he did the same work just less efficiently
2) he bid the job out for $250 meaning he gets the same money whether it takes 3 or 8 hours and it’s his prerogative
3) I like the pictures!
You know that if he did it hourly that means he can get paid less then doing it as a lump sum. He probably did an estimate to get him a little extra cash but still did a good job even if he did it quickly. If you hired a whole company with muiltiple people it can get very pricy

I dig that edger-washer! It's a somewhat less-satisfying moment in many pressure washing videos when the stream slips off the sidewalk, tears up the dirt, and shoots mud everywhere. I mean, obviously the job is more important than the satisfyingness, but the edger-washer satisfies both goals! Very nice editing work too! Nice seeing you still crankin out the videos.
