    I was thankful to learn that Christ was a stone mason... it makes me think about how important it is to build your house/life upon the rock. As building on sand, it crumbles, but the rock stands firm and isn't washed away by trials in your life.

    Love you, Kathy. You are wonderfully created and an amazing vessel used by The Lord. If it was not for God using Kathy Lee Gifford to bless my Pastor with a sponsored trip to Israel, I myself would have not ended up going to Israel the year after. God used you, Kathy, for a great purpose which ended up multiplying and blessing more than 55 other people. The Holy Spirit also lead me to get this book for my future granddaughter (who was just born in November). You are right and I always say the same thing about God… How God created each one of us with specific gifts and predestined us; for it’s not about what you want to be when you grow up! It’s about what and who God created you to be and for what purpose. God has given us talents, gifts, and pre-equipped us fully and perfectly for His Great Plan, Purpose and Pleasure. Amen and Thank You Again! God Bless You and everyone who was part of this interview too! Shalom v’todah rabah!

    Thank you for the Biblical insights. There is so much more I would want to learn with you on that note. These are some passages where I have wished Jesus could come down and interpret this for the Western world. And other issues too. Like what God said to Adam and Eve, to "be fruitful and multiply"; we know how it applied then, and how does God view couples who choose not to have children? The topic of pre-marital sex is often met with "in this day and age?" regarding abstaining until marriage. Especially for the second time round. And the LGBTQ question. I think we agree that we need to love them but disagree on how. Except that loving does not mean holding up signs saying how God hates them. A part 2 would be appreciated.

    Kathy, sorry about your husband being gone I(n heaven). my husband died at the age of 46 from internal bleeding 7 yrs ago. My 24 yr old son & only child died working on a coworker's car (he had only 3 hrs of sleep & had only eaten top Ramon 12 hrs earlier. He had a 3wk old & his wife who couldn't breastfeed, so he made sure his newborn had formula, 18 mo. old & wife had food before he did). He asked me for $40 for groceries that morning (we had a joint bank acc't for this reason) & unfortunately I didn't have it and lived 2 hrs away with no way to get there. My daughter inlaw moved shortly after his death and refuses to let anyone know her address or phone #. I haven't seen or had any contact with my grandkids in 5 yrs. They are 5 & 7 yrs old now. She even stopped talking to her own mother 1 yr ago. Be thankful you know where your kids are & still have contact with them. In the meantime, I live in a Jewish household that follows the rituals but believes in polyamory and she even promotes it. She has the false believeth that Jesus is her brother because her mother looked at Jesus as her "father". Her mother had a mental disorder & Alzheimers (which eventually caused her mother's death).

    To me, this video of what Kathy Lee said was heartbreaking. The King James Bible is the Word of God. If not, than what is? The Bible says God will preserve his word, so then where is it? The Greek language is a dead language and our King James Bible is a living book-I am standing with the Jing James Bible.

    • @thiskiwigal
      @thiskiwigal Před 4 lety +7

      Terri Ann, but we KNOW that the King James is a TRANSLATION. The Word of God / New Testament part, was written in Greek. We KNOW this. In Israel in Christ's time they did not speak English. This doesnt mean we don't have the Word of God. It just means there have been some errors in translation. The point that Jesus worked in STONE rather than WOOD as we thought DOES NOT CHANGE WHO HE WAS.

    • @musicman3237
      @musicman3237 Před 2 lety +2

      @@thiskiwigal Then why does the Bible that Kathy Lee suggest we read(Tree of Life Version) still call him a carpenter? Especially since Kathy Lee says this particular version of the Bible correctly translates the Greek & Hebrew into English? And is superior to the King James. I must admit that she is sharing interesting information and things to think about. But it also seems like she’s focusing on the minors rather than the majors of The Bible. It’s a spiritual book to be spiritually discerned. I get what God is really saying to us through The Bible, regardless if Jesus was a stone mason, carpenter, fisherman or whatever other profession He was before becoming a teacher or “Rabbi” should I say? She needs to look at what that version may(or may not say) about all that wine that she and Hoda consume in the morning hours while on NBC. What an encouragement to the alcoholic who’s watching the morning program right?

Does that make sense? Taking someone's word that lived 1500 years after the event versus the data we are discovering that goes back to the 1st century. Really?

  • @christinepemberton5077

      The question shouldn't be, "why aren't the rich and celebrities helping the homeless," it should be, "WHAT CAN I, PERSONALLY" be doing to help ANYONE?? Look inward, not outward to others, you should look in the mirror first before judging what you perceive others are doing, or not doing. And just because you don't know about it, doesn't mean people like KLG aren't doing their part in whatever way they can. Also, there are many homeless people that don't even want the help, they are fine living the way they are.

    This is a fascinating discussion, and Kathie Lee has, in this conversation verified several beliefs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, that our spirits were created before we were put in our mother's wombs, that the Bible has not been wholly translated correctly, and needs a second witness of verification, and that Jesus was an architect, the architect who created the World. I loved this discussion. Thank you guys!!!! I have more respect and admiration for her than I ever have. She is brilliant. Her Jewish heritage and many trips to the Holy Land have helped her to understand what we have come to understand from the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, which was written by a people with Jewish people who also looked for and believed in Christ: 2 Nephi 25:16 And after they have been ascattered, and the Lord God hath scourged them by other nations for the space of many generations, yea, even down from generation to generation until they shall be persuaded to bbelieve in Christ, the Son of God, and the atonement, which is infinite for all mankind-and when that day shall come that they shall believe in Christ, and worship the Father in his name, with pure hearts and cclean hands, and look not forward any more for danotherMessiah, then, at that time, the day will come that it must needs be expedient that they should believe these things.

      Sorry but mormonism is a cult. Jesus and satan are not brothers, you do not get your own planet when you die (along with being with your earthly spouse), there will be no marriage when we are in heaven with Jesus, because we will be "married" to Him. So many things wrong with what is taught in mormonism. I have an issue personally with the fact that mormons read another book, to fill in what was missing from the original scriptures, as if God missed something and had to come to Joseph Smith, and say "oopsie, can you add this, I forgot to tell the apostles, this or that." Sorry, that's just wrong, and in the Book of Revelation it says we are "not to add to or take away from this revelation," yet mormons add this whole other book. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Blasphemous.

      True, as well as God's word says that the dead are awaiting for resurrection and judgment... If the dead have already been judged to be good enough for heaven, or bad enough for so-called hell, why the need for Resurrection judgement???

    • @desertflower13
      @desertflower13 Před rokem

      “The dead know nothing” is found in the theme of the book of Ecclesiastes. Ecclesiastes is written specifically from an earthly perspective. The key phrase, repeated throughout the book, is 'under the sun', used about thirty times. Solomon is commenting on an earth-bound life, “under the sun,” without God. His conclusion, also repeated throughout the book, is that everything from that perspective is “vanity” or emptiness (Ecclesiastes 1:2).
      When a person dies “under the sun,” the earthly perspective, without God, is that it’s over. He is no longer under the sun. There is no more knowledge to give or be given, just a grave to mark his remains. Those who have died have “no further reward” in this life; they no longer have the ability to enjoy life like those who are living. Eventually, “even their name is forgotten” (Ecclesiastes 9:5).

    There is a verse in the bible where Jesus was with his disciples and ask his disciples a question who [do people] say I am his disciples answered some say John the Baptist who came back from the dead some say Elijah then Jesus asked his disciples who do you say I am only one answered Simon Peter said You are the Christ the son of the living God Jesus then said Blessed are you Simon Peter for [ no man] has revealed this truth to you except [ My Our Father in Heaven ] upon this truth rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail lie's and not knowing confusion then losing faith. To really understand Scripture the Holy Spirit will reveal it to you by revelation knowledge from God the Father for example I may read in the bible or other books one must be Born Again to enter into the kingdom of God which is true okay but when you truly have that experience when you feel the Holy Spirit enter into you and true freedom love and peace comes rushing in and becomes you and surrounds you and cry out Father my Father I love you and tears of joy flow from your eyes like a river for you are now one with the Father then you truly know the meaning of being Born Again I had that experience and when Jesus said I came to set the captives free you then understand ! But that is God's timing when it happened not mine. Love Kathie Lee ! Her Spirit and Mark Lowery the song Mary did you know God Bless

    I really enjoy this conversation and love Kathie Lee Gifford but I'm going to have to disagree with her views on the occupation of a carpenter in biblical times and I get she was trying to make a point when she said how about we learn who Jesus is, but when it comes to certain things she said that is exactly what I feel needs to be done more she needs to learn a little bit more. I don't have enough time or space to present my arguments but I will give one example making a statement that there was no workable wood would mean that the wood came straight from the forest after being cut down and placed on the structure that was being built exactly the way it is and like building blocks just kind of sat there like a puzzle piece and that's the extent of it if you think about that it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. She's right carpentry and Carpenters back in biblical times are not like the Carpenters we have today but they very much worked the wood in a lot of ways preparing it to be used as building blocks. It's just obviously can't be true common sense tells you that the wood has to be treated to last be debarked and has to be shaped and then it has to be attached some how. At this is going to sound very sarcastic I kind of have to say obviously the boats that the apostles fished in and that Jesus calm the storm in and that Peter walked out on the water from we're just untreated logs that just happened to float side by side forming a boat

    Why is Kathy discrediting the King James bible but then she never points her audience to the Bible version that she claims to follow? Why do these men with her quote Mathew, but don't say which version of the Bible they got the quote from? Why are these people creativity confusion and distrust in the Bible instead of pointing people to the Bible they follow? What is this really about?

    In every interview I've seen about her new book with Rabbi Jason Sobel she talks of the same Biblical stories and the mistranslations of Greek and Hebrew. What about mentioning the more controversial ones like the story of Sodom and Gomorrah? Mistranslations and the church have taken the word "know" in the verse Genesis 19:5 to be sexual when the Hebrew word for know used there is "yada", to ascertain by seeing. The church today never tells the rest of the story that is sexual though, the incest between Lot and his daughters.

    Rabbi Jason Sobel is not a Jewish Rabbi; he is a Messianic rabbi which means he is a Christian. Messianic Judaism is a concept which is a few decades old and was devised in order to convert Jews to Christianity using a new technique because converting Jews to Christianity had not been successful for the past two thousand years. Jews do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah because he did not fulfill the prophesies about what would happen when the Jewish messiah came. There is no concept of the "Second Coming" in the Jewish Bible. For a scholarly in-depth analysis of the Jewish Bible by Jewish rabbis, you can watch the excellent presentations on the CZcams channel "Jews for Judaism".

      He was Jewish before becoming a Messianic Jew (or a Christian, as you call him.) So if he was a Jew before, then he most certainly knows the Torah and the teachings of the Jews, so why would he not be qualified to teach people about the Jewish faith? What you're saying makes no sense. It would seem he would be a perfect candidate to teach us gentiles the truth about the Jewish faith. Or am I missing something else you may be saying? Some underlying message??

    • @ladym1910

      @@desertflower13 Jason Sobel can teach Christians or anyone else about Judaism or anything else. Any Christian person can teach anyone else about Christianity, as they personally understand it. What is dishonest, is calling himself and others calling him Rabbi. He is not ordained by any Jewish authority so his form of Judaism is his own. It is illegal for a person to call themselves Doctor if they have not received that title from an accredited organization.
