Wir konnten das Basel Tattoo 2023 vor Ort bestaunen - es war einfach herrlich was alle Mitwirkenden in die Arena zauberten. Das Video ist sehr schön, lässt aber nur erahnen, welches "Gänsehaut-Gefühl" alle Zuschauer vor Ort hatten. Dazu hatten wir das Glück mit einem warmen Sommerabend ohne Regen. Diese Vorstellung wird uns immer in Erinnerung bleiben. Ein großes Lob und Dank an alle, die zum Gelingen dieser Veranstaltung beigetragen haben!

If you didn’t put that video I wouldn’t be able to see my dad at the end while he was caring the Mexico flag with all of the red tunics of Canada
it amazes me how people pay good money to go and see a tattoo or beat the retreat and sit and talk all the way through.

would like the names of the pipes and drums taking part. I did identify the The Royal Airforce, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and The Guards.(Scots or Irish).

There also RCMP of Canada two or three RCMP the one with the instrument and the other with the flags we called them the red tunics how I know that my dad is one of them with the Mexico flag at the end of this show

camera operators should not be allowed on the floor while a performance is going on. it is too distracting to the view
They have one night where they have cameras and that night is discounted for that inconvenience from my understanding.
Yeah, I’m a dancer from Mexico who was at the event this year, and there is only one night of recording in which those cameras are, the rest of the shows they do not appear
at the end we can see all of people wearing the same outfit and having flags with them they all are called the red tunic I’m French les tuniques rouges and they all are from Canada also they are from RCMP which some are in different division you know province there the 501 division and the Quebec division flag the and one of the three since there a national one have a was most lighter then all the rest because it was made with a different dad was in it before the first they all where walking like all the other country they parade my dad was the one with the Canadian flags that also was in is face so he have to walking blindly but for this show at the end he have the Mexico flag with him all my family recognized directly because of is face why he got there the Canada was invited and he was obliged to go there also it was his 18 years in RCMP so he had work and vacation at the same time it’s special one time only for the rest of your life like my dad got

The cameras weaving through the performers were a total distraction - very unprofessional. Great to see the NZ Army Band's haka and as ever the Massed Pipes & Drums stole the show.
Roaming cameras spoilt viewing. Really necessary??
