Clark Gable was the only male actor who was admired by his fans and his "enemies" which were few. Man's man, woman't fantasy, he married an older woman, who purposely supported him to help him with his acting goals, knew she was going lose him once he made it big, and still did what Fate required. Unfortunately, Gable's happiness was all about Carole Lombard, a blonde comedic actress successful on her own, but tragedy struck when her plane crashed during WWII when she returned from an Armed Forces event for the troops. This was when he was a pilot in the war. It changed him for the worse, and his drinking increased, and his desire for life was depressed. A piece of trivia: Gable would write checks for EVERYTHING, regardless of the cost, like a pack of cigarettes. He would write a check for $.50. How many of those checks with his "autograph" on them, were cashed? Almost none. LOL

My condolences on the loss of ur mother! I know that pain all 2 well, myself!!!
Clark only saw his daughter 1 time. He stopped by Loretta's house to see her step father. He saw her for 3 minutes. He never acknowledged that little girl. Everyone saw (as she grew up) she was Clark gables daughter. She wasn't allowed to read magazines with her father's pictures. No movies. Her "saintly" mother, had had sex during filming of a movie with Gable. Yrs after Gable died. She met her step brother John Gable. Blood work DNA said both had same father. Judy, died a few yrs back. I don't know if she had children of her own. Adultary like today is accepted as right not wrong. But this too along with all the worlds problems will soon be solved.
From your fingertips to God's attention.

He was so FINE. ❤🥰 I love Clark Gable's character. He stood up for Black people when no one in Hollywood cared. -- RIP, you beautiful, beautiful gentleman.
