I loved Funchal. But nEver thought to buy there. I bought in Saranda Albania. 3 bedroom frontal ocean view. 120,000. Very happy
Well done. Saranda is very nice!
Good price! How would you fly there? Which airport, etc.?
Can you get residency there?
Sounds a lot.
120k us or euro ?
We bought a penthouse ,120sq , 60 m to the ocean. Amazing views .in Sal, cape verde island. Best climate in the world . Salty air , no traffic, Caribbean of Europe ❤
Thanks for the honest warning.
I spent 6 long weeks in Funchal. I have never seen so much smoking, so many disabled and elderly people. I got the sense the city was dying. There was no A/C anywhere and it was unbearably hot with mosquitoes everywhere. I couldn't wait to get out of there. If our accommodation had A/C and any of the restaurants we visited did, it would have completely changed the experience. The island is absolutely beautiful but the people are all broken.
huh, I live in Funchal and love it. The mosquitoes are very location dependent. I agree on the number of older people with mobility issues. I don't know why there are so many. AC used to not be needed here, but last summer was brutal. I know people installing AC when they didn't bother before. It's easy to find accommodations with AC but it's not a traditional thing. I'm buying a new apt and it comes with AC.
They are. Because they cant afford a house due to real estate speculation promoted by foreigners
I moved from Canada to a Beautiful town in Germany. Everyone there told me to get out while I can. After two years I left. Sick and elderly everywhere who hated their life. The local population and their view of their city will definitely impact your quality of life.
@@SallySparks Fellow resident of the island here. If you are from the US, you are not used to walking around much. When people get old, some have mobility issues. I have had few encounters with mosquitos and flying bugs en masse. This is why I chose this place. I don't have AC, use ceiling fans and am just fine.
There is a lot of smoking in Europe, in general. There is no smoking indoors here. So, I always sit inside if there are a lot of people at a cafe. I'm not sure where you stayed but it's too bad you didn't experience Funchal the way many of us do. Most good hotels here have air conditioning. As for many disabled people, there are some. But many older people have these issues in other places as well. I have never had problems with mosquitos either.
Real estate speculation by non residents foreigners makes Impossible for locals to buy or rent a house
Cape town be careful crime rate
Is high
No, it is not. There is still crime in townships, but a lot has changed.
Stop it hater!
Oh rubbish.
I live in San Diego. Bought a condo in Puerto vallarta. 2.5 hr flight.
Very happy
In the USA "Cheap" pricing waterfront Apt's/flat/condo are for ONE and ONLY reason: The owner pays incredibly high monthly fees for (maintenance and other orchestrated costs for the pool, guards, building insurance etc...) So what is the real COST of living there is the MAIN FACTOR - not the unit price.
Yup, this is true everywhere, maintenance/fees can be extremely high.
It's called HOAs ;-)
Facts!
If I can't have property rights I am basically not interested in investing money into such countries
Sometimes places are cheap for a reason
I don’t know about other places, but I bought a place in Albania for €800 a square meter 3 years ago and now it has jumped to €2500~€3000 square meter “waterfront” and rising . A lots of foreigners are buying properties in countries like Albania . At the end of the day cash is king only today because tomorrow may not be
Be careful maintenance fees
Finally, a chance to live out my 'beach bum' dreams on a budget! Who needs a mansion when you can have a beachside shack with a million-dollar view (and a leaky roof)?🌊🌊🌊
You may wanna check out also Kavala, Greece
I have lived in Sicily. Sure, real estate isn't that expensive, but the cost of living is! Petrol or fuel for your vehicle is $4 a liter. Utilities costs are also very expensive. Lastly, you should speak Italian as English is not widely spoken there. Foreign migrants have invaded Sicily, so crime has risen. I wouldn't live there, but I'd spend 2 or 3 months there during the summer and then leave for Croatia or Sardinia.
The price of petrol in Sicily is around $2 per liter, not $4.
@@witoldlitwin5722 But he is right about crime - migrants
Incredible options! Any insights on maintenance costs or potential challenges in these areas? Thanks for the inspiration to find affordable beachside living!
In Turkey labor is cheap and the country produces a lot of materials (e.g. tiles) locally. Turkish people are very hard working. And the country is wonderful.Properties go up in price every year. So it's a great investment. I would have purchased an apartment there if I didn't live across the ocean 🤣
"Great info! Now I know where to look for affordable beach homes. Thanks!"
Santa marta looks awesome too
Amazing options! Which beachside haven caught your eye? Share your dream coastal spot or any hidden gems you know. Let's build a beachside wish list together!
Already bought in Vlore Albania 2 years ago go at €800 square meter , prices now tripled at €2500 and rising ! I hope ill be able to move there soon
Very nice blogging 💕❤️👌
Wonderful list. Pity that the waterfront properties in Sri Lanka all appeared to be lined with roads and train tracks. Makes it hard to appreciate the sound of waves lapping at the shore.
great list overall... adriatic indeed
Agreed....balkans underated
Sta Martha is the only city with a beach that has by its side a tropical jungle and a snow mountain. It has also modern services .
Florianopolis or Alicante, Valencia
Geraldton, Australia 🇦🇺 shocked me. Pleasantly surprised.
Lived there, f#*kin windy but great fishing
@@mrnvbj ,Thats the rumour about Geraldton.too windy !!!
Bulgaria and turkey look great
Absolutely agree, Buy pin Varna or Burgas Bulgaria, safe, nice weather in summer, beautiful land climate, hot mineral springs, green mountains near the sea.
Turkey is a great place to visit, but couldnt liver there....Bulgaraia is on my radar
Bulgaria, you have to think who will rent the beach side property in autumn and winter? 🥶🥶🥶🥶
Beware the Inheritance Tax allowance in Tenerife.
Try Oman, before it becomes too expensive. Be quick.
The Caribbean, Canada, UK?
❤❤❤
Where is that?
Any in America and up for auction ?
Come and buy my condo in Hollywood FL 1161 dollar maintanance fee, 8000usd property taxes and future assessments.
👍 . .
Don't buy properties and make those beach towns phantom towns that only live during the holiday season. The apartment are inexpensive because those are the prices locals can afford. Let them live where they come from and belong
IF THEY WERE BUYING THEM, THEY WOULDN’T BE ADVERTISING TO OUTSIDERS.
How about only buy the property if you’re planning on living there, not as an investment not as a second home.
Costa Rica the Green County 🏄♂️🌎⛰️🏔🌺🌊🇨🇷🇨🇷🇨🇷 beautiful Forest and beaches convite together 💚 🌎🌎🌎
Have you thought about taxation for foreign nationals?
Real Estate agents do not tell you in Italy they charge you taxes on your social security.
isn't Cri Lanka broken ??? the whole country is fucked?
Plenty of options in Thailand, Malaysia, etc., as well. It probably depends on where you want to be for the long haul.
Can not own the land in Thailand. Probably the same in a lot of other places including Mexican. Beaches. To own land must be 35 miles from beach
What about Vietnam?
Too hot and humid
Maybe the south. How about central and north Vietnam?
Some people like hot and humid
To hard to get Visa
@@ramozj6997 ,it has been 40 degrees there the last week.....heat wave there atm
Yeah but you’re in the Philippines hot as hell
yes beter to be in chicago when its 0 degrees a no brainer
Plus a wacko government
what about Thailand? close to Phuket
Foreigners can't own property, apartments can be 'purchased' but there are some dodgy rules you have to comply with plus they have military coups every 10 years and the rule changes could fuck you over whenever they feel like it. They only care about foreigners money not your well being. The general consensus for Thailand is rent never ever buy.
foreigners cant purchase land. I already looked into it.
The Russians have invaded Phuket....
that's nice, but I know places with 1&2 bedroom apartments close to the beach for prices of $20,000-$50,000
Yeah? Where? TIA.
In some of the countries mentioned in the video, like Turkey, Bulgaria, Spain, Brazil, and in other countries that were not mentioned, like Ecuador, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Belize, Honduras, and even in Italy. For sure there are more, but I''ve been to all of the countries I mentioned so my knowledge is first handed. I have friends in Spain and Italy that own apartments there, others in Turkey, and I''ve been looking to buy an apartment or two in Bulgarian Sunny Beach:)) @@alan2102X
North Korea!
You have to pay the government money to live in Theiland
How about Egypt? there are several options like El-Gouna, Hurghada, Marsa Alam. Sharm ElShiekh etc. beautiful beach warm weather and affordable.
Shark attacks are not taken seriously in Egypt . The government and resorts do nothing after many documented attacks no thanks
Does anybody know the location of the first scene in 0:01 ?
It looks like Cape Town
@@LiquidGoldSwords Thanks
No, ocean view is NOT the same as beachfront.
So buy in the next few years or be priced out forever
Yes. Cheap will be $800,000 in a few years. Hoards of investors and wealthy are always buying up all the beach front properties. Either have money to play or stay away.
Bro totally sounds like Biffa
Florida
Wak
Hi HOA and home owner insurance.
Over priced everywhere, especially home prices and no home insurance!
A house at the beach was my life dream. Now I spent a week in a beach house in Central America and I am in doubt. Listening to breaking waves during the night is awful.
Triple glazed windows and sound dampening in walls.
✌🙌

Very good point! 👍🏽
No flush toilets, clean water. Locals eat, drink, cook, bathe, and use rivers as toilets.
Where is this the case please?
@@henrik4438 India has more cell phones than flush toilets. Most of the world lives in megaslums.
@@ViceCoin India is a Sh*thole. Never been to Sri Lanka though.
All the other suggestions I have been. Good to high standards of living. Especially in Spain and Brazil.
@@henrik4438 Have you seen the Favelas in Rio?
@@ViceCoin Rio is not mentioned in this video. What is mentioned is a resort area full of billionaires, called Florianopolis.
Amazing place 📍
Go and check out for yourself 🇧🇷👀
We should own nothing and be happy… remember what they said 😢😂
All listed countries are beautiful however be aware that your price or value increase would depends on how many wealthy nations could afford to pay…. Be mindful of local people and their ability to afford Realstate purchase. I always say - Yes I could afford to buy… but who would want to buy it from me. Keep your mind open to see a bigger picture of the country.
😅😅😅😅😅😅
Florianopolis, Brazil is the best!!!
Bullshit!!!!
High road toll and homicide rate
Don't go to third world countries. I lived in South Africa, Toronto Canada and South Florida.
