    Eiii this country called Ghana.
    If the Asantehene had solicited the view of the public before undertaking this wonderful project, most of the people who are here praising him would have strongly opposed it and some would have even insulted him for not using the money to build factories to employ the youth. Now those people are impressed and praising him. Some Ghanaians talk too much.
    If the President had kept the building of the National Cathedral in secret and then finished it and unveiled it as a place for holding national event and a tourist centre that can earn the country income, most of us would have been humbled like how this project has shut the mouths of all those too knowing people who know the COST of EVERYTHING but the VALUE of NOTHING.

      This is a brilliant submission. Sometimes I feel like most Ghanaians are a bit too immature for democracy. The same ppl who opposed the construction of the national cathedral with all their might are the same ones blaming the government for not completing it. Meanwhile not a single Muslim made any noise about the national mosque. Sometimes a little bit of autocracy actually helps

    Yes, Ghanaians are a people one can hardly understand. In one breath everyone is praising Otumfuo and rightly so for this magnificent edifice that shows how forward looking the occupant of the stool is. Why are all of us applauding him, because he has solved the problem of gathering for official functions from the elements in case there's any natural disruption during any official event in the Palace. But where as a state will Ghana turn to if during any function on the frontage of parliament House or the independence Square the weather decides to be inclement when we don't have any edifice to accommodate the large number of people who will gather there. But these very people are withstanding and opposing the president for daring to build a national cathedral that will solve such a problem because many at times, we talk before we think. We would hardly do any critical thinking about national issues before we show our lack of depth in on many issues.

      @elliotvulley415 Před 16 dny +1

      @@prophetsampson7525 I mean what the Asantehene has done is the most forward looking thing. But in the case of Ghana, what do we do when the natural elements like rain decides where and where we hold our national events that will take an audience of over ten thousand. That's why the national cathedral is a necessary asset to own.

      @kwabenadarkwafrimpong The size is like a single room. I wasn't impressed as well as the other visitors back in 2022. Ashanti has more to offer than that. Imagine the artefacts that were returned to be displayed at a bigger museum it will generate huge sums of money.
