the music is so fitting for the collapse of an ancient system
Yes, it makes me sympathize.
It was long overdue
That is terrific.... marvellous graphic aid to understanding.
Very good, what program do you use?

Thank you very much.
I do all the pictures on MS Paint and then compile them into a video using Sony Vegas Pro 9.
Your kind words mean a lot to me.
Hopefully a new video of the English Civil War will come out soon, but it is proving a very difficult task!
What sources did you use? Please link them.
I cannot find death toll estimations for the Xinhai Revolution at all.
It's very difficult to ascertain the casualties incurred during the war due to the collapse of the Qing State and its bureaucratic system. Some sources state a figure around 220,000 as a higher estimate though I can find no original sources or peer reviews figures to back this claim up.
When are you going to make a other video
Dutch Soldier Mapping Daniel Things have been pretty rough for a while however I have a video of the spread of the black death that I am working on as well as the English Civil War. Hopefully a new video should be out in a couple of weeks.

I guess that never happened
Dad: whats wrong son?
Me:
Thank you for the really nice video
Tomorrow is the 104th anniversary and this is a great reminder of the struggle taken to form the Chinese Republic that unfortunately had been destroyed later by the CCP.
They're not destroyed. Remember, they're still in Taiwan.
Reactionary Monarchist The qing dynasty was weak and a bureaucratic cluster fuck and utterly decadent. Thank god they were overthrown and Mao eventually won the civil war
05x32 let's not remember mao's policies killed another couple million before China finally stabilised. So basically 38 years and 4 wars later, China still has someone who rules with absolute power. Basically, this era should just be called the Communist Dynasty.
Republic of China 🇹🇼🇹🇼🇹🇼👍
No, Qing Dynasty 👍🏽
Damn
morrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre
.
I though it was in 1916?
One of the most important yet forgotten event of the 20 century
Also, I wonder how Qing forces survived the Feb 12 1912 abdictation and dissolutuion of the dynasty. I think some Qing forces also remained in Tibet post Feb 12, but didn't last as long as they did in Mongolia
Looking it up though Khovd still had a Qing garrison and Qing official, right up until the Mongol revolutionaries cleared them out on 1st Aug 1912. Who would they have been answering to after abdication though?
It's interesting to think that the Qing Dynasty could've survived the Xinhai Revolution actually, as even the revolutionaries knew they were running out of steam after about Nov 1911. The traitorous Yuan Shikai ofc, was the tipping point that truly put in the last nail in the Qing coffin
if the Qing survived the revolution, they probably would've limped through towards at least the start of the WWI period (1914) likely, unlike Yuan Shikai in 1917, keeping China neutral throughout the war (I don't even know if they would've allowed the labour cores to help the allies in this case) China would've likely been neutral under Qing rule as well, because of their past foreign policy and disdain for most things outside of China. Plus Yuan Shikai made the flimsy excuse that the Central Powers supported the July 1917 Manchu Restoration, based on the fact that the Manchu were pro neutrality, which the central powers would prefer (they probably guessed the ROC would be more pro entente, than central powers)
if the Qing Dynasty survived further towards 1917 therefore (pushing it) they would've never declared war against the Central Powers, likely leaving the German and Austrian concessions left awkwardly intact, until the dissolving of the AH Empire in October 1918, and the treaty of Versailles for the former German Empire in June 30th 1919. This also means there'd have been no July movement in China
If only it were still a republic. :(
6 years later edit: im a communist now lmao nothing but respect for the prc 🇨🇳🇨🇳
ROC was the weakest time throghout the history of China
Er, no. They were able to keep fight japan. Before then no Chinese anything was able to fight a westernized military.
+Richard Deng And how could they fight in lands they do not know the geography of, against semi-united people with a common religion and interest, and in a land so far they would need long supplylines?
Evan Bollschweiler Ming defeat the west and stop the colonization of east Asia ,that's why only Philip was fully colonized during the past.
If only it were still a Dynasty. An absolute one, not a constitutional one.
What if Qing win in this war
umayyad mapper it would still have collapsed after wards
Qing would have won if Yuan Shikai hadn't wanted to rule China.
They probably wouldn’t.
@@michaeltheboombringer2848 or he would rule china with Emperor has no power.
