A lot of peeps sleep on the 5.7 since there so many trims above it...but the 5.7 be a beast in itself especially wen it has the 8speed auto! I have 392 but i respect the 5.7

Facts. With the right driver, & some tweeks like a air filter & lil spray for boost a 5.7 could walk you. If he's really experienced he could snatch those gears right. Or knows how to float or speed shift without the clutch it could get out hole on you quick. The 5.7 will give you a good run.

I’ve owned and modded a Challenger RT and now have a stock 2018 TA 392. Both 6 speeds. No comparison. 392 is a beast. Love them both.

I own a SRT 392 and have test driven an RT5.7. Of course I went with the SRT 392 for many more reasons than the power alone. However the 5.7 hooks up better since it’s lower power keeps from roasting the tires. My SRT 392 spins like crazy if the tires are cold or all seasons. I opted for the 6 speed to avoid MDS lifter roller failure issue. However when racing the 8A is king.

The 5.7 is a great engine, if your not drag racing it is super value gives you the Hemi sound and get better MPG.
The 6.4 gives virtually identical MPG...but with the added HP and Tq.

Unless you’re out racing your car on the weekends the 5.7 has more than enough power
The 345 is also highly modifiable the 392 isnt

I'm assuming the T/A had under 500mi on it which causes it to run at reduced power and won't even allow track mode and launch control to be used.

I really like your channel, but can I suggest you find a location where you can actually race these other cars, you are into and out of the throttle so fast in most of these clips that it really is just showing who happened to get the better launch, in the first race here for instance, you guys lift out of it as he is starting to rail past you, and based on the time, you guys likely haven't even covered an 1/8th mile at that point, if you head a bit farther out of town you might be able to find a good 1/4 mile stretch. Might be a lot safer for the rest of us in Mexico as well :)

392 is an insane engine. not only is it powerful hp wise but the torque kicks in so early, that's what makes it special.
Oh that's what that noise was then. I had did a mid muff-delete and while the car is still cold there is a slight rattle but it must be because i still have the active exhaust operational.

The valves on the active exhaust can squeak after a while

2016 R/T yeah it was my bad, I was using paddles instead of letting the car do the work. Traction was gone as well lol

Why not delete the T/A stripe?
I’ve owned a 5.7l Charger with the garbage 5 speed and a Scat Pack Charger. The 5.7l hemi has a bunch of potential and is more practical in street conditions. But if you can hook your 392, there’s no way stock for stock the 5.7l stands a chance.
The 5 speed is good I had the srt8 6.1 with 5 speed
how many mile is on the T/A...I BELIEVE the horse power is held back till it hits 1250 miles then the computor lets out the rest of the HP..it kinda forces you to break it in...my T/A got alot faster after 1200 miles...the wheels broke free on a 40 mile an hour roll

Those Pirelli tires are like skating on ice. I have the same tires on my 392, definitely going to try a different set-up once mine are bald.

_ta_392 on my hellcat i just got nittos 315s on the back and 275 front and all i gotta say is that its a ton better. The 275s that came with it are just horrible

“0-60 in 4.5 seconds” LOL. I love these kids that get these 392s and always quote the paper numbers like their car is the shit but they cant drive at all. Even WITH the 275’s hes getting smoked by jeffs r/t on 245’s but you know his car does 0-60 in 4.5 so what do i know?
Everyday Muscle I had a challenger scatpack 6 speed MANUAL with Atturo 275s and I got 0-60 In 4.3. A friend of mine has a charger scatpack with the same tires and he got 3.9 0-60. So yes it’s possible... If anything, the rating dodge gives it is underrated.
Lights Off I’m getting 4.4 0-60s on stock 245s if it doesn’t spin . But on my drag radials 3.8 - 0-60s consistently . The problem is people turning the traction control off you can’t pedal it better than the computer theses new cars have amazing traction control system let them do there thing and you will be faster

392s really need some soft 305 or 315s. The stock tires arent worth a damn for traction even if they are a bit better than the 245s that most of the others come with. I have the yellow jacket version of the T/A and I love it. Except for everyone wants to call it bumblebee. O_o lol
Try wider tires 315’s. Minimum 315’s. Just flair out the fenders.

RT owner is FOS. It's either a debadged SRT with a RT hood or has nitrous on it. NO WAY will a 485hp SRT get gapped by a 375hp RT like that.

375 horsepower 400 torque is not gonna beat 470/470 plane and simple
Mark Moore brother that's the logical thought and truth by numbers, but if the cat is use to tuners which is a high possibility, then his driving style would and did reflect that. But out right that T/A should have dusted him.

Beautiful cars!! I absolutely love them all, but people knock the 5.7 and its nothing to sneeze at, in the streets around town, the horsepower is very usable on the 5.7, now take those cars out on the interstate and do 50 or 60 mph rolls, bye bye 5.7, but still the 5.7 is plenty fast to get you in trouble, mine runs 0 to 60 best time 5.1 seconds. I love them all though, my next one will probably be a hellcat!!

I have a 350z and I beat a 5.7 on a roll race ,but I do have headers and Cai and coil overs,but you definitely need 285 on there , and run about 25 PSI then you'll hookup

I have 275 Nittos on my Scatpack. They are great tires but I break traction so easy that it could be dangerous.
Put some 305's on it and that should solve the problem.

I got a new 2020 t/a (auto) go mango but with the 5.7 I’m still questioning whether I should of gotten the 6.4 still super fun to drive tho

_ta_392 that sums it up right there. Let the 8 speed do the job you're not going to out shift it. I don't even put my shit in manual no more. Set your screen to show you what gear the trans is in while driving normal and pay attention to how fast that shit shifts. You'll be in 6 or 7th gear at 40mph
Too bad Chrysler will not releaseany repair info and you have to go there to program keys and program anything that needs programming so they've lost me as a customer after my last Dodge

An if that camaro u were talking about was 480 wheel hp than that's more than a gt350 at the wheels. The challengers with the 5.7 only ran with last gen 5.0's bcuz of their 8 speed auto but that's changed with 10 speed.

I had nitto nt555r's on it and still had no traction from dead stop i have no reason to lie to a dipshit I don't know. I don't have it I sold that money pit. I've had a RT and tbh they are the real definition of big and slow. I have a TA 392 now and I've beat every rt that has tried me. That guy need to let s real driver drive his car. FYI just because it say 375 hp or 485 hp that doesn't mean it's putting all that hp to the wheels
I’ll never understand how 375hp stock is laughed at , seriously isn’t the 2000s mustangs had 300hp and those where fun .. sorry but u don’t have to spend 50k to go fast u can mod a 5.7 just like a 6.4 and if u plan on making more than 650 why start with the more expensive car when they’ll both need drop in pistons and rods
