Hi doc7austin, there is more of "weekend-summer" trains in Poland on a very beautiful routes. This year it will be for example Białystok - Kaunas (LT), Rzeszów - Medzilaborce (SK), Sanok - Ustrzyki and Chełm - Włodawa.
A great documentary about the reopening for passenger trains on this line. Only one failure has been made: At 6:33 you can read that the train leaves from Wężyska (Merzdorf) and not Wałowice (Wallwitz) which is one stop before.
Great video! I enjoyed it. Thanks for uploading
Great video, it's fantastic to see cross border rail service on local classic lines.
Beautiful ride. Nice to see the history path. Excellent video. Hugs from India
No i to jest ciekawe - nigdy tędy nie przekraczałem granicy
Until 1945 this line was an important Hauptbahn between Guben and Neu Bentschen (Zbarzynek), via Grunberg (Zielona Gora) and also after the end of the war many reparations trains went this way, operated by the so-called Lok-kollonen). The book about these trains is very interesting, including drivers' experiences on these very long journeys, which often lasted for weeks.
I'm going to do the full Polish Ostbahn from Kostrzyn to Elbląg next month
That's great news that this connection between Zielona Gora nad Guben is again available for passengers.
That will be good to connect Zielona Gora and Gorzow to BER Airport.
There's similar line with poor condition between Szczecin Hbf and Angermunde.
Now there are few trains DB Regio from Szczecin Hbf to Angermunde (diesel) and from Angermunde to Berlin Hbf (electric).
There should be more direct trains from Szczecin Hbf to Berlin Hbf.
Now there easier to go by bus (every hour) than train.
RegioShark is the Czech designation of Pesa Links like this one :3
Thank you for great report from this long-waited inauguration!
Just little correction: the stop at 9:33h is Wężyska, Wałowice was earlier; the express you mentioned connected Frankfurt/Main and Konigsberg (K-grad is name after soviet rubbished this lands in possible biggest mistake of Europe's history which can be repearing shortly); and last thing: we live in strange times, so please avoid publishing any military content - this pictures can be a weapon.
Anyway thanks again and you are welcome on many others polish sparesly using railways like Chełm - Włodawa, Sanok - Łupków -(Medzilaborce/SK), Sierpc - Brodnica - Grudziądz, Chojnice - Kościerzyna or even short seasonal endings like Łagów (in lubuskie too), Darłowo or Spała ;)
Nice film!
Pozdrawiam 🙌🏻
thank you for the video !
It looks great the polish train
Fajny filmik. Dziękuję za udostępnienie. Pozdrowienia z Japonii
Now they have to upgrade the line so the train can speed up a bit. 1h30 for just 65 km is not fast. By car you can do it in about 30 min... But for train fans, like me, it is always nice to ride a train.
Pociąg jedzie cud nad cuda
A lot of change!
Es lebe die deutsch-polnische Versöhnung. Auf dass wir Freunde werden.
very good - other countries foreign images
😀👏👌
Why Pesa’s “Regio Shark” trains aren’t liked in Germany? Have watched a few YT films and noticed that Pesa trains that were sold to German train operators got a really bad feedback. I think these are good trains.
Capital material about train in my country ):)
From the Polish point of view the Zielona Góra - Krosno Odrzańskie - Gubin - Guben line is a remote and a very local one although if there where more trains people from those small towns would have an easier access to the Lubuskie region's capital.
Buenas noches saludos desde México 🇲🇽 aún está funcionando este destino de Berlín a zielona góra?
this train doesnt go to berlin
Salut Prietene 👋👋
Bus companies will not be happy.
Is Polregio operated by PKP? I mean is Polregio Lubuskie a part of PKP
nope; Polregio (PR) was extracted out of the PKP organization
Polregio is owned partially by voivodships and state-owned ARP.
6:33 Wężyska not Walowice
Wężyska od 6 minuty
It is Dialga lol
Why would you go to poland, turn back if you can
