- Edvard Grieg's most notable work is his Piano Concerto in A minor, with its dramatic entry to the 1st movement. Grieg was a Norwegian composer and pianist who really put Norway on the world map in terms of music. During his life he wrote many other compositions, including the famous Peer Gynt, and his Lyric Pieces - a collection of 66 short piano pieces.
You'll hear 8 snippets of Grieg's well-known music. The snippets are very short, and they are strung together to form one 'piece' of music.
