    thank you soo much i got a 94/ 95? kdx and the kick starter did nothing i pushed it down and it wouldnt catch at all
    pulled it apart but the gear assembly looks all brand new, i was thinking maybe the kicker fell out a bit as it came out on its own i pushed it in but i couldnt work out how much tension on that spring.
    like i said thank you so much answered everything

    I know this was a long time ago but do you recall if you needed to pull the water pump and the clutch cover or did you just pull that side case cover off?

    • @chocoman6385
      @chocoman6385 Před 4 lety +1

      You can take the whole side cover and clutch cover out together

    How in the world did you get that out without removing the clutch basket? I got it lined up between the teeth and it wouldn’t come out. Manual even says to remove clutch. This is on a 2000 kx500 looks similar to this setup.

    what is the gear called on the right side of the clutch plates? I'm trying to find out what it is because my kickstart on my 1985 cr 125 is locked up but I know it's not seized because I just rebuilt the top end

    how many times do you go around the kick start shaft before pushing in the hole

    • @brysutube
      @brysutube  Před 8 lety +1

      about halfway to 3/4 . depends on how tight your spring is.

    • @brysutube
      @brysutube  Před 9 lety +1

      Not sure. Check to see it is pushed in all the way. Did you set the spring into the whole for the return? If It kicks down and comes up by itself, you Have it in right.
