I applaud all your efforts. It's your channel and you should make it a place that brings you solace. We all appreciate you for who you are and will be here. Keep your Katatonia and Opeth discoveries going, there is still so much to experience. I am also sometimes cautious of new bands, but I concur with you if it was not for exploratory efforts I would not have found some great talents. SOEN, Swallow the Sun, Remina, Hanging Garden ( newer), Poets of the Fall, Light Field Reverie, Borknagar, Anathema are just a few artists that I have come to adore just by taking a chance. Hi Lauren, I thank you for your reactions to the Smiths I continue to watch them when I need a Smiths fix. I discovered the Smiths in 1986 my 1st year out of high school in Brisbane Australia. It was seen as quite transgresive to be into the Smiths in Brisvegas back then and could get you into all sorts of trouble depending on the circles you moved in. I was lucky enough to escape without injury and I remain a Smiths fan to this day . Anyway thanks for the update, glad to hear you are enjoying life ATM. As you are reaching out for new stuff to react to I listened to another old favorite from those days recently and thought of you immediately due to the awsome bass and dolop of unrequited love. The track was Add It Up by The Violent Femmes, the bass is killer and in my opinion the stand out instrument of the band in general. I think you will find the bass and songs are great across their first album can't speak for the others as I am only familiar with their first record. There are so many talented bands and/or solo artists that are worth checking out!though I’m not going to lie, I’m very sad that Maggot Mondays are over. 😢
I love your videos and the way you react to videos, if you want a band to react to you should make some videos on The Cure. Any song from their album Disintegration would be a good starting point. Hope you read this and have a lovely 2024!
Might I recommend HUM, a 90's band out of the Chicago area. Songs like "green to me" or "Stars" were the most popular. You might really like them.

Maybe a suggestion to go down the Progressive Metal road….yes, I realize Opeth easily fits into this genre albeit “Progressive Death Metal” but there are an ass-ton of other Prog Metal bands that need your love….Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Queensryche, Redemption, OSI, Porcupine Tree to name a few. I personally love Fates Warning. Maybe check out their song, “The Light and Shade of Things”.

Well, I have to admit that among the handful of bands you had been reacting to for a while, the Slipknot reactions were the only ones I really watched, and aside from that I also watched the occasional different reactions you posted. So the absence of Maggot Monday is kind of a sad loss. But if new artist reactions are coming, I'm all for seeing what's next.
And it's good that you're keeping it real in making the channel resonate with how you feel. I guess this is what's so amusing about us watching other people react to music that we already know. Kinda strange that anyone could enjoy this, right? Some may think, "what's the point?" And the point is that we feel amused to see what other people think of the music we like, the stuff that is special for us. Kind of like sharing a song with a friend and watching for their facial expressions.

Good updates! I've sent some song suggestions your way. Also, on the subject of Slipknot, I feel the same way. The last album didn't do anything for me and the constant line-up changes are a bummer. I'll always be a fan because of everything before that though.
