Small Water Texas Duck Hunting (Cast & Blast)

- Duck hunting during a drought usually means that you'll end up on some small water. That was the case on our fourth day out in Texas, when we hit a private pond that we had secured permission for the year prior. After scouting it all week and seeing less than ideal numbers, we decided to just give it the college try and setup for a morning hunt. The flight turned out much better than expected and we strung together a solid mixed bag and rounded off the day with some bass fishing on another nearby tank. Hope you enjoy!

Hilarious that this was a sub par hunt for central flyway/TX. Would be the best pond in the entire state of Virginia.
What part of Va are we talking about? Been trying to find some early season goose spots out East but no luck.

Why are you guys out in the spread the second its shooting time thinking your moving 🤣 smh rookies especially if only 30 or 40 birds on the pond why risk spooking them all while moving during prime time
Because they were all landing on the other side at 80 yards. The wind was forecasted to be 10-15 mph at the start of the morning but was closer to 5. We should've moved earlier but we were hoping the birds would still circle into the wind even with how little there was
