I'm really confuse with those people who unlike this incredible woman's video
Love the honest empowering perspective with a call to action that is meaningful and usable.
Also, I could listen to you talk on the topic all day -- powerful.
Just some love for everybody 🧡

thank you. To be honest ive never thought about this changes such as vc are not just momentary alternatives but also can be something that help driving radical accessibillity.
People who thinks positive find multiple solution for a problem, others find multiple problem in a super solution. 😁 Good Morning have a nice day😊
So True. It helps everyone ! My boys have undiagnosed Autism and they suffered through schooling
Truly excellent talk on a vitally important subject!
Let's get to work! Thanks, Dr. Chatters, for given us the vision.
Society may as well conform, considering basically the only other option would be to revert back to 'eliminating the weak'. Otherwise this battle will be neverending. Why not simply design with everyone in mind
You are so well spoken gives everyone the missing light needed. So many similarities: in different abilities, upbringing, plans, missed employment opportunities and navigation of the world.

Just for those who didn't know, legally blind means your vission is being able to see objectsthat are only 20ft or less out of 200ft, in one of your eyes.😊
Yes, in other numbers means your prescription is at least -2.5 or lower.
@@ollie2111 exactly.
Thank you.
even with contacts?
@@likeliterally7077 am not sure about contacts however.
@@pasulaymangaye I believe you're legally blind when it CANT be corrected to above that limit.
❤️
Hey, wholesome and surprising. Nice to know disability’s getting talked about more, especially when this doesn’t get enough attention as it is. Props dude!
Support!❤️
🙌🏻
It is a shame this video only has autocaptions as others have mentioned.
However, I think its important for us to think about what accessibility looks like and the wide range of accommodations we can make for differing disabilities and conditions.
And if you're unsure what accommodations to make, ask.

I watched the whole video waiting for her to suggest how we do this and I must have missed it. This is a great idea, but making employment more accessible for disabled people isn't a new idea. I was hoping for some new ideas on how to tackle this.

Just 1 in 4? I thought it was much higher, unless you don't include retired folk.
Accommodating disabilities can be costly for businesses and public services, but common courtesy from the general public overcomes many of the issues.

Agreed.
And then the channel replies to you in an inaccessible, confusing, irrelevant and spammy comment.
Yoinks.

Yeah they really should hire someone to do captions for all of their TED Talks

God! She is inspirational.
No one could believe she is legally blind if she didn't tell you.
Being told you're "inspirational" purely because of a disability is not the compliment you think it is. She's inspirational because of the work she does, not the fact that she 'doesn't look disabled.'
Sincerely,
a disabled person
@@jasperskies1923 thank you. I agree.
I was thinking two days ago: is there sth like a belt that gives morse coded letters through vibrations? In combination with a tablet it could be very useful, I think.
