I just purchase my fourth 570 for multiple compressor chillers. I have had no problem with either of them. The main thing is to make sure you are settings are correct. If you attempt to read microns in the Vacuum mode you must be in PSIA. For some reason Tru Tech does not cover things such as this. Also if you have to record below 500 microns you will need the Testo 552 that will intergrade with the 570 showing 10ths during an evacuation. You will also need the interface cable. With the EasyKool soft ware you do not need the field printer. You can upload, store and print detailed reports or email them.

Yesterday I was charging a condensing unit on the roof of a convient store in Cleveland it was in the single digit air temperature, it was so cold the refrigerant didn't want to come out of the tank, I was running liquid R 134a (low pressure)through my 557 testo into a suction accumulator. I noticed liquid refrigerant dribbling out of the gauge valves, it was getting past the o rings on the knob posts. Both high and low side. I lost confidence with the testo in achieving a deep vaccum now.

What I've seen is that the rubber o-rings get hard at low temperature. Maybe a different type of o-ring would withstand low ambient temp.

The print out would just not be for the home owner but for the next technician. You should always help the next man. Awesome tool that you will make your moneys worth on. Just like any tool expect flaws because man made it.

I just got the testo 570, i would like to see a video on using the charging mode, the evacuation mode, the pressure/compressor mode and the efficiency mode. I down loaded the easykool software. Im a newbie to HVAC, but have been charging and repairing automotive air conditioning scene I was 15 and I the owner and TECH of my own mobile automotive for the past 17 years. I want to apply the 570 to the new electric cars like the Toyota Pruis a/c compressor that is the first electric scroll COMP

I have kind of a uneducated question. I'm old school, old style gauges. My R-22 system has a TXV and I measure my outdoor temp and my condenser and than using a slide chart, I calculate where my SB should be. Now here comes the question. Do I need to do any additional temperature measurements with a slide rule with this digital manifold (any any digital manifold) gauges? or is does it automatically do it for you. My units usually is around 16 degrees SB. If i don't need to do any additional temperature measurements is it because the digital manifold has an outdoor temperature sensor? Thanks

I don't like rheem because the louvers block the rain from washing the condenser surface. I've had customers that have gone years between service, the condensers were plugged solid, I have no Idea how they were still working.

Thanks for the fast reply, I meant Get-Cool not EasyKool.

The problem with digital is drift while working with them, I zero out the low and high sides then use the gaugeset for an hour or more, when I remove the gauge set and open the hoses the gauge doesn't read zero, low will read anywhere from 4.7 to 18.75 hg same with the high side. This worries me because the pressure settings I just made are all off. that's not acceptable. I bought them seven months ago, the 557 cost almost $500. and is inaccurate after 7 months.

Does this 570 have a inbuilt scale ?
If it does . How do you work it ?

    • @TruTechTools

By inbuilt scale are you referring to the built in vacuum measurement?

I do a lot of commercial/industrial applications and just ordered this product today. I had the 550 for years and love it. I’m a testo whore. I am curious about the built in micron gauge. How accurate does it get? How deep of a vacuum can I get and is it worth it to get the testo micrometer?

I recently purchased the 570 and to be honest you completely confused the hell out of me. In the future please be more informed on the product you are representing!!! I will never watch another video from trutech.
