- I have waited close to a decade to get my hands on this swimbait but was it worth the wait? The Hinkle Trick Trout is a beautfiul segmented swimbait made by Andrew Hinkle, the same guy who makes the famous Hinkle Shad and Hinkle Trout. Today, I do a quick overview of the new bait!

I understand the amount of time and effort that goes into alot of these baits but the prices and resell values of them is exactly why I've been in the process of making and designing my own to my own liking 😂

@@crazybassfisher Don't even get me started on time and patience 😂 I legit do every thing by hand I don't have a band saw, a belt sander nothing all my shapes are cut by hand with a coping saw and sanded by hand and with a Dremel it's a long but enjoyable process I just hope it ends up being worth it and I can get the actions and sink rates I want lol

Sweet bait. What’s your knot of choice for swimbaits? Throwing that you’d have to have a knot you trust more then all others.
Double uni is the only knot I use, it has never failed me

I'd said not worth the money and the wait even though I dont own one. You could have gotten a savage gear 3d trout that swims better, looks more realistic, and the joints don't fold on a pause. Yes, it's hinkle, and savage gear is beginner swimbaits, but who cares if it catches fish.
Fishing both to compliment each other sounds ideal.
Yeah, fishing the bait will be the ultimate test to see if it works for me or not

I have better luck with slow rolling segmented baits in winter and reaction twitching glides spring-fall.
So I have to ask. If you snap that Luer off, are you jumping in for it? Honestly, I think I would, would love to hear your answer.
If snapped off, I would probably mark the spot, came back later and drag a net contraption that I have made to try and retrieve it

Ummm a lot for sure, probably close to 50 or so, ranging from big to small, expensive to cheap, prototypes, you name it

If you aren’t living paycheck to paycheck struggling, I’d say it’s worth it, it’s an investment. You’ll probably have that thing for 10 years and one day it might be the lure that catches an absolute giant 15+. You never know man.
Yeah, that’s how I look at all swimbaits, if I truly think it’ll give me the results that I’m looking for, then it’s worth it in my opinion
I would of gotten you one of those baits if you took me fishing with you. I personally rather have 8….. $1500 rod/reel set up.

I waited almost 3 years and the whole time I was getting put off. Finally had enough and asked for my money back. Very disappointing.

No hate because everyone is different, but i would never wait that long or pay that much to catch a fish. Most baits are designed to catch the buyer not the fish anyway

I don't think its worth it one bit the fact people still support this guy is insane. I wouldn't give him a dime unless I maybe purchased second hand but. I would rather get those bassjak trout swimmers over the Hinkle at least you'll see the bait u paid for in a couple months vs years.
Yeah, it’s pretty rough with Hinkle, long waits for baits, I have only ever bought two baits direct from him, the 2nd batch of Shads he did and this trick trout, always buy second hand

So the knock off goes both ways. There are a lot of items that are being knocked off from America in Japan as well as other countries. It would be nice if you mentioned that as well. The stealing of intellectual property sucks but it happens. The way you present this is like this is only happening from American companies. Please don’t get butt hurt, just would like to see how this impacts all companies not just Japanese companies because American companies is impacted by knock offs products as well.
