It's as far away from now as 1926 was then, and people woulda said exactly the same in 1974 about 1926.
In a time as seemingly distant as 2070, some will look back at 2022 as if it wasn't too long ago.
Time is relentless and sometimes seems to pass through a fairground mirror before it hits our perception of it.

      @@maxwellboyne2770 It's debatable.
Between 1926 and 1974 there was another World War, the beginning of immigration, and a created 'counterculture' from the 1960s onwards, with television being the main change agent.
Vastly different times with abortion becoming legal, plane journeys becoming the norm, and feminism starting to rear it's head.
The internet has obviously changed things a lot this century, but what we see culturally now is a rehash of 60s/70s culture, albeit with machines making the music usually, rather than people.
But a lot of the accepted ideals from the 1970s are still in play today.
It's the last two years where things have really changed obviously, which could ironically see 2070 being less advanced than 1926.
