We need the butterflies just as much as honey bees. We also need public education in order to make changes in the future! Thank you for such an amazing job of sharing this with all of us 💕

This just shows how much the whole situation from the previous episode was blown out of proportion. These people are family, this behaviour is normal.
Too many people think they know everything about Ethan and love to slander him when he's just a normal guy, who also CLEARLY loves his family.

Like it’s inside humour and a family thing, but to a point where his mum wanted to give up in trying to talk about what she was passionate about, because they kept talking over her, was just goin on for a bit too long! Imagine your job being throwing cups and popcorn at your boss’s dad while he stabs beach balls
To the lady with the boyfriend who locks himself in his room: My dad had a video game addiction and would lock himself in his office for hours to days at a time we would only see him when he would use the bathroom or get food. It ruined my family and his marriage. They separated and my mom moved three states away taking half my family with her. Ten years later they just signed the divorce this year which was messy. I wouldn’t recommend starting a family with a neglectful person who wont be there for you or your kids… coming from the child of one.
Also coming from a failed marriage/parents, I was the "maybe a baby will fix this mess!" I think women have this tendency to think that in due time and gentle reminders things will straighten out, they will fix their own problem. But we give them too much credit. Honestly if your partner will do it they WOULD. If you guys separate you can always take him back when he does straighten out but you cannot take back the time spent on suffering.

I've been going to the gyno since I was 15, I am now 28. I have never had a male gyno until my recent appointment a month ago. I did not know I had a male doctor and I didnt want to make it a huge deal because I thought "hes a professional dont be such a whimp"-- thankfully he was a super sweet person and very nice doctor, but by the end of the appointment I was crying in his face because I felt so weird about having a male do my annual, and I never will do it again. It is just odd to me, I prefer a woman 100%.

It makes sense that Ethan wouldn’t want Donna to read her essay on butterflies at that time when they whole family had traveled there for just one episode. Sure maybe he handled it wrong, but it was obvious he was over exaggerating for comedic effect. If people don’t like it, they can simply state that instead of being insulting. I couldn’t imagine someone dissecting my family dynamic, it would make me never want to bring my family online again.

On my way home today I saw a monarch flying around a very small milkweed plant near the entrance to a rather busy parking lot. Every time a car passed or the wind blew she’d get scared, fly away, and then immediately come back to the same plant, only to get spookmagooked by something else before she could land. I watched her do this a few times and realized that she was probably trying to lay her eggs on the only milkweed she could find, which clearly wasn’t a suitable place to lay eggs 😢 I thought about how Donna was treated last week and everything about both of those experiences was so sad. I’m very happy to see that you gave her a platform to talk about this and tbh, if she hadn’t educated us on butterflies before, I wouldn’t have had that insight into the butterfly’s behavior. I learned something new, so THANK YOU DONNA!!! 💖

As a mexican biologist, i can tell you Donna, this was super informative and accurate. last week i was giving shit to Ethan for not letting you speak and im so glad you had your segment. This was super wholesome and im so glad you're using your platform to bring awareness to something like this. Keep it up Donna!
Hearing Donna speak about this problem was great, I am from Mexico and we are all very upset with the government and the cartels, since the whole system is corrupt, it sucks, however, the new generations are more informed and there is more and more activism.
Btw the Mexican activist who was assassinated was: Homero Gómez González, he was an engineer and an activist. He was also the director of a nature reserve for monarch butterflies in Michoacan. We miss him and love his work. 🦋
I am not Mexican but I appreciate and respect their culture and it makes me sad to see the cartels take over too. But I agree, I think new generations are going to bring the change that we wish to see and I am hopeful for Mexico

My mom and I have been raising monarchs (and black swallowtails) since I was a kid. We released approx 300 last year. The aphids decimated our milkweed last year and most of it didn't grow back, so we aren't raising them indoors this year 😔💔 she did such a great job!! I'm so excited to hear someone talk about monarchs!

I'm an 18 year old girl and eventually I'm gonna have to go a gynecologist, and for me personally I don't want a man to tell me about a part that he does not have, or tell me what I'm going to be feeling when he does not know what it feels like.
They’re doctors, professionals, and they study to be medical doctors on top of specializing in gynecology. They’re objective, and medicine is constantly evolving and changing when it comes to practices. You can have a preference but don’t belittle people who went to school for it, that’s so rude.

dont let the comments shame u from a very valid fear that you have. there are constant stories of women feeling invalidated by their male doctors regardless of the training they had when it comes to female health issues. understand not every male doctor will be like that, but also prioritize ur comfort and if u are more comfortable with a female doctor request one!
@@mewen864 i don’t think anyone shamed them for having a fear of something, it was moreso about not belittling someone who has studied and been trained to know how that anatomy works. Medical school is expensive, they aren’t going into it for no reason. Like I said they can have a preference just don’t assume all male doctors aren’t professional and won’t understand how their patient could be feeling.

my husband & i have 2 babies under the age of 3 years old, after calling the ob we had, the "baby doctor" ... at the end of my second pregnancy, I mentioned "we habe one more OBGYN appointment" in response he exhaled & said "noooo not another doctor when we have had the same baby doctor for both pregnancies!" i just stared at him, realizing that he didn't know her by anything other than "baby doctor" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷♀️🤦♀️

I wanna add some insight for the fan who's SO locks himself in his room. As someone who never allows anyone in my room even my SO I had a mom who would barge in my room as a kid and even destroy my chain lock when I installed one so now I am very sensitive about my privacy. She would never knock and always assume I was up to something which may have made me develop this need to just be secretive. It might not be healthy but I will say I am not doing anything weird. I am normally just watching CZcams or doing my hobbies but I just get very uncomfortable with people being in my private space. I will admit it is odd to be in his room THAT much but maybe he had something happen that caused him to be this way.
I honestly think it's time for a color change for Donna. Pink doesn't capture her essence. I think it's time for a new start and a color that captures the Donnarch ♥️

Hiii idk if anyone from the pod would see this, but Donna would truly be a great guest visitor in a retirement home or long term care. I work in a LTC and we have a lady who comes in during the summer and works with a group of the residents to put together terrariums for monarch butterflies and she brings in caterpillars and the residents LOVE it! They get pictures with the butterflies and get to check in on them and watch them hatch. Donna seems to have a great demeanour in general for working with older adults and I'm sure if she was interested they would love to have her.
