the intro scene for him was so perfect like they basically summed him up perfectly by showing how he's an insanely brilliant sharpshooter and also the gambling addiction but also showing how smart and perceptive he is (and possibly hinting at his grisha powers??) through him being able to detect that the coin was fake just from the feel of it (plus he's zemeni so he's probably the most familiar with that currency), and also the way he winked i just,, god kit young absolutely NAILED his performance as jesper, he's literally so amazing :')

**SoC spoilers** Having watched the show, read the books then rewatched the show, I have to love the subtle hints to Jesper’s powers that I completely didn’t pick up on the first time watching. The slow mo eyes closed montage of him shooting volcra on the train, Ivan’s “What are you?/You’re a-“, him fiddling with the broken pieces of Kaz’s cane while Inej sews herself up and then when she gives it back to Kaz “Jesper fixed your cane” and it’s seamless they’re subtle and easily missed if you don’t already know but when you know you know and it’s a bit more obvious
SPOILER: I just got the scene where Jesper is shooting at that Heartrender in the laundry-- the guy figured out that Jesper was a Fabrikator because he was able to get a bullet through the Grisha-made kefta. That's also probably why Jesper is such a good shot: whether he's aware or not, he's manipulating the bullets ever so slightly. My thoughts, anyway. "What are you?" "A big softie, apparently..." "You're a--" "Shhhh!" *thwack*

He is so charismatic and smart in real life, and he played Lysander in The National Theater's A Midsummer Nights Dream alongside Oliver Chris and Gwendoline Cristie and MY GODS! how I fangirled and how proud I am of him right now is beyond me~ I'm so glad he's getting the recognition he deserves, and I'm so happy that he got cast as Jesper! love him with everything you can because he is a gem~
