"Droids" was by far the biggest surprise for me this month. I didn't expect much after "Nocturnal", but Annix managed to blow me away this time around. I really enjoyed "Sublimimal", too. This is the kind of direction I thought GG Magree will go for with her EP, but sadly she didn't. Speaking of EPs, I don't think I've added a single song from any of the EPs released this month to my playlists.
they've had a lot of eps recently (not even taking silk into consideration), but most haven't stuck with me. i did like silent child & liam thomas, but aside from that, the eps just seem to exist & contribute to having 20,000,000 releases a month
#20 - S C R E A M O #19 - Average acoustic. #18 - Don't care for this song #17 - This isn't my kind of neurofunk #16 - Kinda hits hard #15 - Decent enough #14 - A bit weird for me but still good #13 - Honestly I like Papa Khan's music a lot #12 - The 'muffled' vocals and melody sounds really cool, really solid debut #11 - banger. #10 - cool but not amazing trap #9 - Reminds me of Dark by Stonebank a bit, very cool #8 - CloudNone + Direct moment #7 - We need more House/Electro/Bass House from the Boss cuz this SLAPS #6 - See #13 #5 - What 'Do That' by Slushii should've been lol #4 - Rouge doing Rouge things. Great tune #3 - Being a huge Madness enjoyer (not biased btw) I am obliged to love this. The production by Toki is great as well. #2 - Incredible song, could become the next Bad Computer if he continues this 🔥streak #1 - BO22 contender. Period.

Maliboux is one of the best Debut artists for Instinct up there with Aiobahn,Cloudnone Ellis and like 3-4 more Instinct artists his Vocal chops are imo the best on Monstercat 1: You gotta be a Debby Downer if you think this is mediocre. I'll will riot if this doesn't make it to the BO22 I also want to slip in the fact that Silk has kinda up their game with some of their releases on the label they aren't strong like the beginning month of Silk but this month of silk takes 2nd place Edit: Also happy 4th of July
Here is my rating this month (I may have some incorrect grammar usage because I'm not native English speaker) 20. 10/10 I really enjoy this song and repeated it for 10+ times, the lyrics are edgy and the swear in the second drop is freaking cool 19. 8/10 RUNN has good voices, but i would still choose the original, because I'm not a hater on the original 18. 6.35/10 decent sounding, vicetone made a better song, because I'm not really into their 2020~2021 releases 17. 6.65/10 second drop carried the song, after his (their?) debut on mc is boring 16. 6.45/10 Not impressed but interesting, and it sounds a little bit outdated 15. 6.95/10 Good vocal for Katie, and finally KOVEN made a song that isn't dnb or plain piano acoustic 14. 6.3/10 the drops sounds weird in the beginning, idk how to rank it 13. 9.5/10 the one not isn't future riddim in the EP, it's standing out because of that, i really enjoys both drops and vocals 12. 9/10 The snares(?) in the drop are too loud, and the vibe and the drops are great 11. 10/10 massive banger, we have three different styles of the drop, all of them slaps 10. 7/10 chill vibes but at the same time heavy, but the second drop sounds strange for me 9. 9/10 i should dig future rave, sounds interesting 8. 7.45/10 This EP is not good as & friend, but still ok 7. 10/10 BF BASS HOUSE YESSSS, the second drop hypes and the vocal samples are catchy 6. 9.5/10 This song has two really catchy drops, not beating Get To U but it's still great. 5. 8.5/10 Do it (which i can enjoy) but better, not really much can complain but it's not amazing 4. 8.75/10 Sweet one, i like the vibe, and rogue got great vocals as usual 3. 8/10 good and fun one, saxsquach have been great this year. 2. 9.35/10 not as good as his last one, but still really great, they sounds fun and I really enjoy the style, but the drops sound a little weaker 1. 9.95/10 for me, the second drop fake out sounds a bit faster idk why, other than that, it's a perfect song

I would like silk but a lot of the songs sound the exact same because chill music is very cookiecutter unlike other styles of music because if it has even a slight bit too much impact it wouldn't be considered chill anymore. Especially chill house.
@@kimyona9746 i will say the same from before the start of the year, but tracks like Airborne, Sound & Silence, Rays and Flip The Coin have all been really quite different
Normally I just screen record about 20 seconds of each song on youtube on my mac and then figure out my ranking of them and then put them all into iMovie with transitions and stuff (you gotta make sure you screen record w/audio so that it picks up the sound of the song playing rather than sounds irl so I would look up a video on how to do that)
I think it’s definitely a combination of a quantity issue and a creativity issue. Like we’ve had some great songs here and there like most years but there have been so many short songs (especially on instinct) that’s just don’t stick with you
