Awesome as ever! Josh does a wonderful job explaining the good and bad features on RV.
My husband and I always enjoy watching his videos! I love that he added the floor plan and specifications to the RV he is featuring before he starts talking about it! My husband and I watch other RV videos on CZcams and his is far most interesting and hitting the fact you wanted to hear! He doesn’t spend five minutes talking about the controls or other useless information! He focuses on main issues majority of customers wanted to know! Like head room in the shower or legs room on the toilet or watching TV from the chair! I love how he shows the cabinets open and if you have access to the bathroom when everything is closed in! I love his personality! You can see that he loves his job!

Hey Uncle Josh I really love what Ember has done with the 191MSL. The bunk area is awesome with the e-track. The different options that you can do is amazing. The euro windows are awesome, when it rains you still can have the windows open. I don't know anything about the new ac unit but if Ember is using it, it has to be an amazing unit. An as always thank you Uncle Josh for everything that you do on giving us the good and the bad on all travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes. The information is very helpful, thank you. Hi from Mexico! This is an all round multipurpose RV with a bit of everything. You can make the rear area an office which is cool! Everything is well made and laid out, all wired up for solar from the get go! Again cool! It's the way things are going, as solar is cheap now, and everything is going that route! Everything is comfortable, and quality on this unit. My personal preference is the Ember "Gourmet kitchen on wheels"! Loved that one so much, added it to our playlist; 1st class living! We make videos all subjects, with lots of travel related, from here in Mexico, but worldwide also.

Great floor plan, especially that flexy space area... Except for...The east-west murphy. A show stopper for me and the missus. I really do like that rail system though. Hopefully shows up in more units, manufacturers, etc.
Oooohhh. I was just thinking. They should use something like that in a mid-bunkhouse office slideout. You need sleeping? Use the bunk setup. You need a computer space? Use the hard surface? Want a couch? set the hard surface to desired height and have some couch-thickness cushions and wedge backing.
And in computer mode, if the typical built in small desk is off to one side, you could set up the flexi-compudesk so that you are seated offset from that built-in. You could then have a couples office/study area.

Those tracks that hold the beds in the cargo area are the same ones they use in tractor trailers for strapping in freight and for adding a level (decking), they literally hold almost a ton. Should be sturdy lol.

Wow! Ordered exactly how I would purchase! Glad to be able to see the dinette which is a must have. Can't they hinge the bathroom door opposite on the dinette version to resolve travel access? If they manage the convection oven they'll have checked all the boxes. Cargo space is just the bomb!
I hope on the longer version they leave the bed sofa exactly as is. Would rather see the extra space go to clothing/kitchen storage, kitchen counter space, a little more fresh water, and a larger dinette table. Will keep my fingers crossed for a large propane oven too since I don't really want to light up a portable generator to cook dinner. Thanks again for the great videos!

Beautiful. Seems very well thought out. Already really flexible, but hey if you're asking (I am pretending you are). I would love to see a window in the cargo door in the back, or the large side cargo door, or next to the rear cargo door. More light is like more storage. You can't have enough. If you do use as bunks the bottom bunk might like some ventilation. Oh one more thing how about a small screen door on the rear cargo door. I mean if we are going all in let's go all in.

    Hyper color shirts?
Convertible bunk areas need to be more common, I swear. I absolutely adore, _adore_ the ability to have a mobile office that can turn into "Imma haul something big" or "ah, geez, sudden humans" space. The versatility feels perfect for following the natural evolution of folks and allows for changes that might otherwise necessitate purchase of a whole new camper or complete walk-away from the trailer life.

I would love to see them add a swivel-type grill/griddle holder that can hang off the rear bumper since the cooker hooker is right there. Honestly, that would be my only wish list. The versatility of the bunk area pretty much hits all my other points all ready.

Love the concept and floor plan of the MSL models. The flexibility is fantastic. I'd prefer to see the 191 in a double axle configuration for offroad use, with a convection oven and about 12 additional inches of counterspace in the kitchen. I know space is limited, but the prep space and single axle are the only two things that I would change on this model. Long term I'd love to see modular double bunk options and potentially even an outside kitchen module that could mount in that space if folks would prefer.
I tow with a midsize truck, and the 221 model is right at the upper bounds of comfort for me to tow with. If this came in a 22-24 ft model, double axle and sub 6500 max weight, I'd buy it.

Glad to see that the Euro-windows and better stabilizers are actually back, and REALLY HAPPY that Ember bulked up the latches/locks on the EmberTrack side access door AND removed the shelf from the cargo-side of the front gear box so that you can now store bigger items in there!! I'd like to see 12v power extended to the gear box so that you could mount things like a Viair compressor on the storage side of the box.
Now I look forward to Ember's switch from GoPower to Victron solar components, and I'd like to see the convection microwave option. But ULTIMATELY, I can't wait for the 221MSL!!!

It looks like if they reversed the bathroom door hinges you could get access while in travel mode.
I would want to have a dead bolt latch for the rear door for a bit of extra security. I would also like to see slam latches on the front pass-through storage area.
I like the Truma A/C and think it is a good upgrade even if you never run it from the batteries. I've always thought the dehumidifier mode would be good in cooler weather in keeping interior condensation down while running the heat.
We've reached the point where we will probably go with the 201FBQ if they manage to source a convection microwave. We would also need to talk about making the inside/outside cabinet more secure since it has unrestricted access to the inside once the outside door is open.

This one is almost perfect with the flex space. One of the reasons I want an RV is to make it easier to travel to conferences with Husband. Dinette space plus desk space in the flex room mean we could have separate spaces for computing while on the road.

Make the top bunk full width with a half side that folds up 90 degrees and click latches like the front Murphy latch. Raise the back door to the same height as the side large hatch. * The bunk cargo deal is awesome. Now expand the offering and do the MSL thing with the no-slide 190 too!
    * The 190 totally has room to include a 3-burner stove and a propane oven without other modifications, unlike the 191, so they should, you know, do that.

I had Ember high on my list, the 201fbq is my dream machine. Looked at them this weekend at the Portland RV show. The quality was absolutely awful. Granted it was bad across all brands, I can't believe how many cabinet doors were falling off. Anyway, on the Ember, whoever was running the brad nailer missed all over the place, there were dozens of nails on the outside of the cabinets, the bathroom door frame was wrapped and the trim was falling off. I had higher hopes for Ember but alas they were just as bad as everything else. When I showed the dealer all they said was "it will get taken care of in PDI" wow how much can't be seen that will cause failures not seen in PDI. They would also have to disassemble half the cabinets to put the top nails in properly, I have a feeling all that would be done is cut off what is exposed, squirt some glue in the gaps tape it shut and hope it holds long enough to get out of warranty.
They are still at the top of my list but the thrill is gone that they build better.

I noticed much of the same when I looked at a 222MDB last week in Texas. I've seen other Ember models in much better shape. I think there's definitely a quality control issue unfortunately.

Admiral Uncle Josh! It's me moe. 😊 Quick question here: If the sewer outlet is located at the rear of the unit, how does the black and grey pull valves work with them being way upfront in the water bay area while the kitchen is located in the middle of the coach and the bathroom in the rear? 🤔

We've been eager to see each new model that Ember builds. I'd like to know about the type of screen used in that bunk room. We camp with our pup, so my concern is for the durability of the screen material itself. Also, could a restless sleeper kick a hole through it? If it's not as durable as we'd like, is there room around the edge to place a half-height framed hardware cloth type reinforcement? Thinking of my dog's reactions to chipmunks and squirrels :) !!

    • @stever6986
      @stever6986 Před rokem

You'd have to separately kennel/crate a dog because if they're big enough to worry about them putting a foot through it, they're big enough to just push it out of the way. I saw this model a few weeks ago at the Overland Expo and it's strong Velcro around the edges but a medium to large sized dog would have enough force to pull the edges away...which is why you'd need a separate enclosure placed (or built) into that space for them.

Wonder if Ember could offer an optional closet area in the bunk area on the 191 MSL. Maybe just a hanger rod to hang clothes using the track system and use of the bunk beds to place clothes/pantry items into containers with drawers. That way when the bunks are not used one could use it as a closet area. That would allow us to buy the 191 MSL and not have to move up to the 221 MSL and buy larger truck.
