One to watch: Aldous Bertram, miniaturist

- Aldous Bertram fell in love with dolls houses when, as a small boy, he saw the Queen Mary dolls house at Windsor Castle complete with its 50,000 tiny bottles of wine (filled with real wine) in its cellar.
Since then he has set about creating his own small-scale worlds. Watch this video to see his magical creations.

I went to school with this guy and never quite knew what to make of him, but he was a nice person. I'm glad to see he's ended up doing something unique and creative that he is clearly super passionate about. Good on you, Aldous!

Queen Mary's dolls house is incredible. It has its own fully functioning plumbing as well as it being electrically wired throughout. It really is a work of art worthy for a Queen. I love country houses too, baroque architecture is a love of mine. Chatsworth house is one of my favourites as well as castle Howard in North Yorkshire. Magnificent palaces of the aristocracy. My next obsession is the Palace of Versailles in France
Interesting to note that I hear the Hoover vacuum cleaner actually work
@@stephaniesurr1601 Everything works in Queen Mary's Doll's House. Quite a lot of the kitchen equipment is made of gold rather than brass. Even the wine bottles have the correct vintages in them.
