I've been to the car boot sales in London a few times over the past few weeks, and thought I'd combine them into one vlog, and a bumper haul full of incredible bargains. This is my 2nd comment of this video, but I forgot to mention something last time. The Cambridge Satchel Company bag you got was an absolute steal. Give it a good polish and it will be as new. I used to live just outside Cambridge and my neighbour had moved to be near her daughter. She told me that she had started helping her daughter who had started a bag business as she could not find a satchel for her daughter who was starting at a school in Cambridge - satchels had gone out of fashion. So her daughter designed and had some satchels made. They both used to pack them up for despatch at the kitchen table. If you look on their website and department stores they are now a premium item, and they are despatched worldwide. Conclusion - find a niche market and develop it. You just need that original idea and vision.
I remember reading about this company, and was amazed at the story behind it!💕
Maybe your lamp is Alabaster. Last week I went charity shopping and found a vase made of Alabaster, only £3. Its beautiful, I love it.
Your lamp is an Onyx Lamp and I have 2 of those - they look lovely with a stylish shade on. I also have the game Articulate, BRILLIANT game, especially when you have all had a couple of drinks ha ha. When I worked at a big farm shop and pick'ur own we ended up painting all our wheelbarrows pink because of people pinching them.
It worked! No one nicked them again - so maybe buy the pink tape measures next time haha

Hi Mr Carrington. Currently working my way through you tube videos and catching up so a bit behind. Love your videos especially car boot/charity shop ones you always find really good things and love your lamp and the wicker tree skirt and the Cambridge satchel they are my favourite things you got. Thank you for cheering up an overcast July day here in Scotland, it rained most of yesterday and rain forecast today I think Scotland has forgotten it’s summer 😂. It’s a shame the weathers so bad as the open golf is on at Troon which is near where I live so the golfers and spectators are not getting the best weather. Just my thought too - if the tree basket is full of blankets, there will definitely be a pussy cat sleeping on top!

Watching this at 2am Monday morning. I think your best bargain was the Aesop perfume. I saw you looking at the Fortnum & Mason bottle basket and thought for a minute that you would get it. I love your onyx lamp too.
I am having a mass clear out because I just cannot live in a hoarder house any longer, since being registered blind I cannot have any trip hazards around. I am really cross with myself for becoming a hoarder because I used to be a neat freak.
My favourite item is definitely the leather satchel. Beautiful looking workmanship with a simple design.
Lovely items! I must admit I chuckle when you find a Starbucks mug, as my niece is an executive with the company. We have bags and bags of coffee, tea and merchandise. I love the original oil painting and would display it where I could see it daily.

The lamp is perfect! I believe it's alibaster or onyx. I also loved the crocheted quiit that was on one of the tables at the car boot

The Cambridge Satchel Co make amazing bags! Whoever gets that as a gift from you is very lucky! Their stuff is fab and so well made. They used to have an outlet shop at Bicester Village. Not sure if it’s still there? The little painting is very cute too. Great finds!

I was so glad you Bluth the butter dish. That type can be pricey brand new. Love the idea of using the cover for cheese. Also I’m glad you bought the red Starbucks mug and the coach mug too cute. That satchel is fab and would be great for an artist to carry a sketch book and pencils/pens/colored pencils.
That oil painting is beautiful and I would have bought it.
The glue gun is a great bargain and an extra one is always a good deal. The cosmos are lovely.
You had a fabulous bargain haul. I’ve not been to any yard, garage or thrift stores in a long time so you are making want to do some now. The bars are great too.

I live in Carlisle Cumbria England & we have a place near me called " rebuild " they do workshops to make different things, jewellery, upcycle clothes, etc ,they sell all sorts of different things, building materials, plants etc at a cheaper price

Great video, Mr. C! I always enjoy seeing your boot sale bargains. You find much “cooler “ stuff than I have found in the US. I especially love any of the old framed pictures. They add so much character to a wall.
Great video very suitable for a damp Sunday morning up north. As for the Richmond tape measure,, I’m a joiner and when I served my apprenticeship back in 1987 Richmond tools were very popular, so yeh it’s old and obviously still works fine and still springs back. So that was a complete bargain. 😊 the lamp looks like an Onyx lamp. The tree skirt was a find, I bought one from Next a few years back and cost around £55. 😊
Another use for your Christmas tree skirt is to put it down,upside down and add a cushion = instant cat bed! ❤

You certainly have a good eye for a bargain Mr C😃. I had a chuckle with myself when you were talking about the bowl, you hesitated slightly and you said ideal for this time of year. I instantly thought of soup lol and you said ice cream lol. It's obviously warmer in London than in Norfolk. I couldn't believe the normal price of the perfume spray. Also loved the London bus mug. Love your bargain finds from the boot sale. I love satchels and l have a retro satchel in Red from the Cambridge Satchel Company from when they fist started out and love it for my watercolour paints, brushes , pencils and sketch pads. Yours was a bargain as they are not cheap. Watching this in the evening, while England are playing Spain as l can’t bear the suspense 😬

Morning Mr C! It's just after 9am on a sunny Sunday morning and I've got my cuppa and biscuits at the ready! You have a real bumper bag of stuff from your trips to the boot sales. Love the mini watercolour framed print and also the lamp base. Do you think that might be alabaster stone? You're right the Aesop brand is mad expensive but the fragrances are gorgeous so I only buy for a rare treat now and again or a gift. Oh Mr C you did get some bargains! I thought you would get the tree skirt, cushion cover, butter dish, Starbucks mug and butterfly. The lamp base I thought was alabaster, but someone suggested onyx which it probably is. Didn’t you fancy the washboard? You could start a band Lonnie Donnegan style! The bus mug base mentioned Churchills - that may be something to do with the biscuit brand who have beautiful decorated tins. In a previous video you got a book called Secret London(?). I think that was a bargain as I had bought similar as presents by a company called Best of England, costing about £20 each. They do several covering the UK. The Samsonite bag was a marvellous find - but then you are an expert! Thank you for an interesting video.

"CZcams Corner" has a very Mr. Rogers kind of feel to it. Samsonite is very durable as is American Tourister (not sure if they sell that in the UK). The butterfly for 1 pound was the deal of the day. The lamp looks a bit like alabaster? Love the painting too! Enjoy what is left of the weekend.

Hi, lwan - loved your car boot bargains. I have a charity shop near me in Glasgow, & it often has free items in a box outside. I have a Christmas stall at Maggie's Cancer Centre, & l pick up mugs, cups & saucers, & put chocolates & candles in them to sell with minimal outlay! 🙂👍

OMG Mr C, I literally have the same satchel (although not a Cambridge company brand) but the same style, brought online from Trouva. Love the Emma Bridgewater bowl. You have such great taste and you seem to be very lucky with you finds at the boot sale. You're so lovely ❤❤❤❤
