Peter McKinnon Well you do! I have the GoPro 5, and actually haven’t tried to vlog on it, but I am impressed with the kind of broll you could get from such a small camera. Also if I fly from Europe to Toronto, would you be down for a coffee? 🎥😁☕️
I don't use a GoPro 7, I've not got any 4k cameras yet. I do use 1080p Drift and GoPro cameras for moto vlogging though. It might not be great for what you do but action cameras are essential if your channel is about riding motorcycles like mine is. You just gotta choose the right tool for the job 👍
Peter I love your videos but if you title a video "Can you vlog on a GoPro Hero 7?!?" I expect you to vlog at least 75% of the video with that camera! LOL Not use 2 minutes of seadoo footage and the rest of your vlog is on your Canon gear because well that would lead me to believe you cannot vlog with a GoPro ;)

We vlogged exclusively on GoPro cameras until we reached 100,000 subscribers. It was just a silly goal of ours. We've since added more cameras to our arsenal but the GoPro remains a staple! It just does things and gets shots you can't do or get any other way! We LOVE the HERO7!

the footage is so crispy! I really need to upgrade from the t3i to something with a better sensor. The t3i does ok but only in good light. If it is a little dark at all the picture starts to fall apart fast.

It's possible to vlog on GoPro camera. Since GoPro7 came out, it's the only camera I've been using for vlogging. The only downside is the microphone, but overall I'm very happy with GoPro 4 Black and for the last two years I've been vlogging with only that camera. I think that GoPro is the best solution for people that shoot vlogs that require a lot of action and movement from place to place.
I am aware that dslr camera produces better image results, but I think that storytelling compensates the difference in image quality.🙂
I agree with you -- I love my GP Hero 7. It's small, unobtrusive, easy to carry & shoot with, and with the settings in a a linear & flat profile, it doesn't have that "GoPro" look to it.

I have a question regarding which "lens" should I use to record my Art and Drawing videos. I probably Shoot overhead shots in my video and already have Canon rebel 200d with the kit lens but the footage is not really sharp and crisp. Yes Gopro is very impressive with audio and stable footage.. the fact that you can take it out in any weather... sweet... this makes me think that I NEED this for my youtube work???? I usually vlog on Canon M50 but it is not weather proof.. and I am quite scared to take it out during really bad weather.
