  • Timber is relatively cheap, readily available and easy to work with, so it's the ideal starting point for lots of structural extras and accessories to your shipping container project.
    With our new timber Bolt On adapter, made from 30mm birch plywood, you can easily cover your shipping container in cladding, shuttering ply, or stage flats. Many people are far more comfortable using woodworking tools than metalworking ones, so being able to fix timber and sheet materials to a shipping container was always a high priority for us.

    Not a bad idea! I will try using this to build a rooftop between two containers.

    Make one side higher and you can put a roof over the container that will help with condensation

    Excellent idea. Super expensive though at £115 each.

      They are built to last Martin. And because they eliminate the need to drill into or weld your container that will last longer too!

    Are the attachments structurally safe to attach a pergola structure?

    • @DominoClamps
      @DominoClamps  Před 2 lety

      The Domino clamps are rated to 2000kg so absolutely no problem there! You may prefer to bolt your pergola directly to the Domino Clamp than to use this plywood adapter though.

    I presume the Wood can be other than standard "2 x 4" Lumber! Like, 3" x 6", or 4" x 4" beams, for example!

      You're absolutely right, Robert. 2"x4" was just what we had nearby for the demo.

    Can the domino clamps be used for wood decking for the top of container?

    • @DominoClamps
      @DominoClamps  Před 3 lety

      Yes, absolutely. Just remember that you'll be attaching the deck to a frame on the side of the container: the Domino clamps don't work on the top hole itself, but this shouldn't be an issue.
