Fun Fact: The shrine on Crustles back is actually the entrance to the champions room in Pokémon Black and White, the game Crustle debuted in. Very cool.
Came to the comments section looking to see if anyone mentioned this. Never played Crustle but the concept for that holowear is iconic.
As soon as I noticed it was the champions room I thought it was the coolest thing ever !

Lucarios costume style actually pays homage to a trainer named Riley from the games, In diamond and pearl he helps you through a cave and gives you a riolu egg at the end of it

The fact that we don't have legendary holowear for Slowbro and Eldegoss is a crime.
Those two to me are like the backbone of this game. Almost always solid Pokemon and some of the best picks for solo queue.
And they've been doin' it since release.
The Absol one is basically a mafia-esque thing because he's a dark PKMN. Same with Lucario who is a jackal/anubis so the ruins style fits him perfectly. Also, with Lucario's Halloween holowear, it would've been better without the pumpkins IMO because it's based off of Riley/Sir Aaron from the games & movies.
I'm surprised Venusaur's is B tier. I'm always in awe when I see it. Extremely beautiful.
While it is beautiful, it's very simplistic from both a design and model perspective. If you compare it to some of the later holoware ( Pokebuki is probably the best example, but something like hip-hop is another one). So I do think B is appropriate; it's good-looking but it's not an absolutely must own and play
@@druidt8949 eh, i prefer pokemons to have that kind of skin (venusaur's), not just wearing human clothes... it looks weird to me. But to each their own
Clefable skin deserves at least the A tier!! She’s so cute with the crown and the cherry blossom petals and the princess aesthetic 😭 It’s nice to see that more Supporters are getting Purple Holowears, we love ‘em!!
14:00 Lucario's Costume is based on anime and movie, especially "Lucario and Mystery of Mew" - his trainer has this kind of outfit here.
And about his second holowear - Lucario is a jackal, just like Anubis - this skin also fits Lucario perfectly.
I have both of them and I love both of them.
Gengar maybe works because of Alien: it's a ghost and because of that it shows up from nowhere and scares the enemies. Plus it doesn't care about gravity, so space fits oddly well.
Lucario fits well maybe for the design that's inspired by the trainer of the anime series that's also inspired on Lucario, so is litteraly Lucario style² (and also I agree for the style-moves comp).
Crustle temple is cool, but it's cooler if you know that's the entrance of pokémon black/white League, the generation where Crustle was released. I'm still waiting for Lasagna Crustle.
A plus on Mew is that it's legendary, impossible to see, and bards sing about legends of the past. But it still strange that they sing songs of themselfs

I purchased a Sableye license just because of the jester holoware. I had never played him before. Now he is my most played Pokemon in a single season and it's almost all thanks to that holoware.
Cowboy Zeraora's intro perfectly reflects what it's like to be invaded by Gredent while playing Zera.

What i really don't Like about Marine Style dragonite Is that this holowear got released a few days before they released dragonites Battle Pass. A friend bought this holowear and got really mad when He saw the Battle Pass skin. I don't hate this holowear for the look but i hate it for the time it got released.
While I am not a greninja user, I think that the hat makes it much more menacing, and the tree animation for backing up is awesome.
Also the space suit makes Gengar much more goofy but somehow it fits him perfectly
costume party lucario fits because its a tribute to its movie. One of the characters has that outfit and eventually Lucario sees the same aura in Ash. Its one of the best holowears and is severely underappreciated
Owls holowear is the most A holowear like the skin itself is so good but the effects had so much potential, could’ve had the unite be kunai, KO animation could’ve had like a puff of cloud and a little leaf symbol, and the recall could’ve ended with owl like tossing a smoke bomb into the log, still love it though you can’t hate rowlet with that adorable-ass oversized headband
For Gengar, it makes sense because Gengar is a ghost. You generally associate space with endless dark void. You know what else you associate with that? The afterlife

My current favorite are Performer Espeon, Pokebuki Blastoise and Ghost Zoroark for Purple tier holowear and Knight Charizard for Semi Purple tier because of full armor look.
I hope they add Race style Duraludon formula 1 costume with race track Unite move and race flag as trails and scoring and Cinema star style Glaceon with red carpet Unite move and Mr Rime butler coming out of Limousine recall animation.
the lucario party style is the same hat as Riley in diamond and pearl, who used a lucario in double battles with you and gave you a riolu egg at the end which is why it makes so much sense

This doesn’t relate to the PuP/ESpeed bit but something cool about Lucario’s Costume Party outfit is he’s wearing almost exactly the outfit of Sir Aaron, who was Lucario’s trainer in the movie. Just a fun fact!
It's similar with greninja, the outfit is based on one of the 3DS pokemon themes.
I was about to point that out. The hat especially, which I think was purposeful.

Given the clefable and gengar design mirroring, that might be why spacesuit style gengar works also! Clefable definitely has a space association, so its sorta adding to that theory/mirroring!
My favorite is Delphox holowear…especially when it uses fireworks unite move…i even pause for a second unconciously when enemy delphox uses it…it is just so beautiful😊
This BP is the one I've been waiting for! Pokebuki styles or styles similar to it are my favorites. So glad they gave one to Zoro!

Here is a comment. Was fun to catch premier. Unite has a lot of fun holowear, but trimming down to the top rarity is fair enough. I can understand your opinion, even if its a crime that Band Zeraora isn't higher than Frontier. I think my personal favourites, Sacred Alolan Ninetales, Sacred Delphox, Ghost Zoroark, Band Zeraora, Dark Suit Absol, and Champion Dragonite would be my god tier.
One of the things I'm always sending to Pokemon is to have a part of the profile made available with the holowears of the pokemons. There is an option to put "collector", but when you view the profile of someone you can only see which pokemon plays the most. It does not make sense for me. I am a collector and sometimes I want to know or see how many holowear ppl got, but i cant. I think it would be awesome and a part of the perfil style. Like you pick one pokemon and can see how many holowears the player got. And even a plus button like "this one is the favorite holowear" like we have with pokemon. But they never hear me *cries*

No, noþ shurikens, that's Greninja's specialty.
Kunais, kunais is what Decidueye should use for its Unite Move. Even better, kunai shaped leaves.
I think Delphox's sacred hollowear is missing a mask the Belly Dancers wear, would have made the whole outfit seem even more cool.

Lucario’s costume style is based off of Riley in the gen 4 games which is why it feels like it makes sense lol
Marine style dragonite has a funny lil hat and that makes me happy
7 months later and I have some thoughts:
- merchant style Cramorant or an itamae (sushi chef) style Cramorant beginning with an animation of him spitting pikachu out with that “KRAH-MAH” noise he makes would be great. (Somehow I think like a secret spy Cramorant would be hilarious)
- Punk style Azumarril should have had more fairy stylings like an iridescent dark purple biker vest with like pale pink spikes or a pop-star Azumarril would have been perfect too like with glitter, head mic, and neon accents
- I main as Decidueye and I don’t really feel that his ninja holowear feels different enough from his original stylings to make it that special. I’d really like a spooky holowear to high like his ghost typing. Like imagine a spooky ghost holo wear with a tattered dark green to black ombré feathers and his body and eyes glow purple like spirit shackle
- it’s criminal that Goodra, Eldegoss, AND SLOWBRO don’t have premium tier holowear yet.
I think if there was like a “sweet treats” or “ice cream” style holowear would pair well with Goodra and Eldegoss! Like Goodra could be an ice cream man with an ice cream cone in his pocket or on his head and Eldegoss could be styled like kakigori (Japanese shaved ice) topped with sitrus berries and razz berries.
Slowbro at this point deserves a battle pass - maybe like a cyberpunk holowear with neon geometric shapes on his attached shellder and a neon green trench coat aaa pop pop and white

From a purely subjective standpoint, I actually gotta give it to Knight Charizard. Just my bias towards shiny warrior armor. The fiery Samurai one is great too though.
My overall favorite is either circus Espeon or sacred Delphox. :)
I think the costume style Lucario is inspired by the movie "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew".
Also I'm surprised costume style Greninja doesn't replace the water shurikens with little bat shurikens for Halloween, missed opportunity.

For me the champion style Dragonite skin is for outrage and marine style is for hyper beam. I have both and use marine style ALL the time compared to the other one. I love it so much. Have to agree with the god tier skin though

Honestly i feel like certain styles are not consistent in theme and style if you take a look at sacred style gardevoir, and sacred style alolan ninetales, blaistoise, tsareena for example it just doesn't make sense that the styles have same sacred name but styles are completely different, honestly like the alolan ninetales matches greninja and decidueye like a ninja style you know, like the background and name sometimes doesn't match and it i would like a more consistent theme with names they are mixing and matching. I think from mew to all other pokemon in the ruins style holowear should have said like medieval times style for example right i see they were most consistent recently with the performance style holowear it has been the most consistent theme wise from espeon to sableye, and even llapras and goodra just like the cowboy themes and music styles during pikachus battlepass, but the ruins where kind of all over the place.
I wish we could have tokens to gwt the gems back to buy other holowears I did some dumb mistakes like azumarill punk style I would choose fr the buzzwole one because it’s so nice
Ghost style Zoroark is in my opinion the complete best holowear in the game by a long shot.
Controversial opinion: I agree with what Spragels said at the end about the Trevenant holowear not fitting with the Pokémon itself. I just don't like it. And this is coming for a partial tree main btw

Iwa means ground with 'Palace'

Duraludon is supposed to be S tier status but doesn't get more fancy holowear. I have the ones with the cool animated background. I have the Scarf and shoulder strap one, not a fan of the aviator/tux one. ALSO how the hell does Elvis have anything to do with trevenant
