    hi nice to meet you! I have my marriage residency interview on February 28. My husband had two heart attacks in the same month in August, cerebral and vascular. We are in multiple therapies and medical appointments until this day. His memory is affected and he becomes more confused when he is under pressure. What can I do before or during the interview. I have a lot of medical documentation and I am the one who is dedicated to him 24 hours a day. Could you give me some light on my problem? Thank you

    If my husband completed his medical exam in his home country last year Oct 2022, he can still use that medical exam for the greencard process? Or do the USCIS expect a medical exam completed in the U.S.?

    Can you please do a video on how to get a green card as a tourist visa holder if I eventually get employed while being a visitor in the USA

    • @DarianLaw
      @DarianLaw  Před rokem

      Thank you for this suggestion. Yes, I will try to make a video on that subject. The main issue with this plan is that you cannot overstay your tourist visa. You have to apply to change your status to an employment visa DURING the 6 month visa duration of stay (assuming that you receive a full 180 day duration of stay).

      If your medical exam is less than 2 years old from the date it was issued, then you do not need to bring a new one to the interview. If it's older than 2 years old, then you'll need an updated one for the interview.

      Thanks for this comment. I'll add that topic to my list and I will try to make that video in January. Generally you need some sort of underlying status or pending status to apply for advanced parole. Is there a specific status you want me to discuss?

      @@DarianLaw I have DACA and have applied for green card based on marital status to citizen. I still have yet to pay NVC the fees and provide documentation for said green card. But would like to avoid interview in Juarez which is why I'd also like to apply for advanced parole.

    Hi Darian, my former petition was denied due to my former marriage wasn’t properly dissolved now I have dissolved it properly and refilled and I have been living peacefully with my spouse what are my chances like? Both at the interview and getting my green card

    • @DarianLaw
      @DarianLaw  Před rokem +1

      As long as the prior marriage ended before your current marriage started you should not be denied for that reason. You might need to remarry if you were legally married when you entered into your current marriage.

    • @DarianLaw
      @DarianLaw  Před rokem

      Maybe. Did you and your spouse attend an I-130 interview? If no, then you will almost certainly be interviewed. If yes, then you MIGHT be interviewed.

      There might be an interview, but the chances are much lower. Possible reasons for an interview could include (1) to verify some of your original documents, (2) to clarify or question you about responses on your I-485, or (3) for you to submit your I-693 medical examination.
