hi darcey, i am transferring to NYU in fall, and i am kinda struggling with my essay... i would like to know what tone should i use in my essay? a formal one? or just keep it like ‘me’? i have thought of writing it in a tone like im talking to the admission officers, but will that be very informal and impolite?

Thanks for the update video! I was wondering what you think of the difficulty of transferring to each school is? I'm attempting to transfer to Tandon and from what I've seen and heard I feel like it's in the middle in terms of difficulty, on par with CAS. While Stern and Tisch seems like the hardest schools to get into.

Jason Wang to be honest I am not sure what the differences between schools is like in terms of acceptance rates. NYU in general is competitive and becoming more and more so which I think applies to all schools. It probably can vary between and even within school based on the program you are studying but I really wouldn’t focus too much on this, just do your best and show why you would be a good fit for the school you are interested in

I have been accepted to a few universities in NY and I would love if you could give me your advice. I have received scholarships from these universities that would pay for only 2 years out of 4 and it would be nearly impossible for me to pay the other half. Is it possible for me to only go to one of these universities for two years then transfer to another NY university that would pay for my last 2 year?

Thanks! I know you can transfer in up to 64 credits but not sure the minimum. I think it's usually one semester of college. Here's what I found online: www.nyu.edu/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/how-to-apply/transfer-applicants/transfer-credits.html Best of luck!

Do you think like you missed out on anything from the first 2 years of college? I made NYU but I’m probably going to try to transfer again in 2 years from community college cuz that price tag is too expensive

I’m trying to transfer to NYU, but I live in California so I feel like it will be a much more difficult process.

maybe, but lots of people from cali come to NYU so I think you can do it. I am from the midwest and living in VA so I was ~15 hours away from NYU but you can make it work. best of luck!
