I Don’t Have the Courage for This…

- I love to send big features, but mountain biking isn't all about jumps or drops. And sometimes I don’t have the courage…especially scary technical features! Our adventure began in Queenstown and continued to Maydena Bike Park, which is possibly Australia's best bike park. It was stressful! However, our ride ended with perfect jumps at Meadowbank.

From cursing out a stone to jumping over the fence, YUKA'S THE BEST!
That rock was a bad rock…
@@VanGirlYuka LMAO 🤣
Yuka: _"I know my limit."_
Also Yuka: _apparently has no limits!_
*She's the best!*
Lol I guess I really don’t care about the limit 🤣
Id say you were a really sensible person . 👍👍
Was I the only one who smiled when Yuka cleared the fence so nicely
It's crazy how mental the sport of mountain biking is. You can get hung up on small things like that rock, when your confidence is low, then go and send a sizeable fence gap after! Nice riding Yuka.
I really respect and admire you and your husband... to be able to be together 24/7/365 in a tiny living quarters and not be at each other's throat. I went on the road for a month with my boyfriend at the time and we only got along maybe 50% of the time. I learned that I need my space. When you have arguments, you can't sleep or "need space" in another room nor be able to say I'm going to work lol. I've seen RV couples (not Van) on CZcams eventually separate/break up after a few years.... It's just tough for many couples. Props to you both for doing what you're doing and staying strong as a couple. Blessings and love to you both 💜
Everyone needs their own space. Sometimes it’s hard but we had to figure out how to not kill each other in a van🤣
It seems that they don't work. It makes everything easier 😂
Everything looks faster, higher and farther apart when you are half a planet away from your home hospital Yuka's got guts.
when the location of the nearest hospital creeps into the your mind, that's when your know it's time to start walking!

大きな怪我や精神面も回復されてる様で良かったです。
日本から応援してます!😄
That fence jump was awesome! I laughed so hard when you pointed out the rock that your front tire rolled off and made you crash. Glad there was no injury.
This was so interesting to watch because for me I just love to cruise through technical sections like those where you were stressed but then when it comes to a jump you seem fearless and have a lot of fun while I get completely stressed out on a tiny jump. Also great video!
it takes time to recover from your fall, and you will have small triggers for months to come but you are way ahead of a lot of us on your recovery well done Yuka
You are a very inspiring rider! Keep shredding
When she said Queenstown I was like "YES! NEW ZEALAND" "...on the west coast of tasmania.." oh.
You are very special Yuka just keep thinking that, and stop over thinking things 🤟
Thank you Yuka for your very human video. We don't have to do everything what trail brings forth. Sometimes we are on sometimes off.
When I feel like I’m in over my head, tired, and have to keep going I am irritable, too. I’m glad you could end on a good note, though!
Commenting purely based on the title, "Yuka decides going off a cliff is too much"
😂
Nice to see she's at least got a limit!
Yuka, that jump was definitely amazing! What an accomplishment!
Felt soooo good to clear that fence👍
Absolutely awesome doing that fence jump!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Come back Yuka, we miss you 😢
Just WOW!... I was holding my breathe at the jump part!... "I was shouting inside! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!: Nice to see you jumping again!...
Bravo Yuka, it's great to see you jumping again. That 'can do', attitude is coming back to wash the 'nope', away.
Nice riding and a good ending😊👍🏻👍🏻
Super cool video, good seeing you guys take it seriously with the protection gear and careful feature assesment. That being said, that fence thing at the end was insane.
Again a very nice and entertaining video. Love the channel...
Angry Yuka🤣Clearing that jump and a little wine and cheese made it all better😄
Watching this gives me so much hope for getting myself back out there on my MTB! Thanks for sharing! you're awesome!
Bloody sweet looking trails! Great job, Yuka! Damn, girl.
Maydena is so sick, I went early this year and I think you where smart pulling back a bit when you got tired, I had the problem where I only had one day there so I tried doing as much as I could in one day and ended up breaking my arm on a super easy feature as a result
Really enjoyed this video! Thanks for having us along, and for your honesty as you ride these trails.
Been mountain biking since I was a teenager, and I've never ridden any big jumps or drops and the only jumps I do are pretty small. Seems like there are enough trails out there to suit everyone's riding style. No reason to do stuff that makes you nervous. 👍
always impressed with how yuka overcomes fears .. we all know how ability is one thing but the mental aspect is the most difficult part to overcome . the older i get the less risk i take and i hate it , in my 50s now and getting it wrong just seems to hurt longer and way more lol. i love riding i dont want to quit but the risk reward part has changed for me .... its all in my head and that is most of the problem
hello YUKA and to your husband Hello ride safe always
Hi Yuka,
It is good tosee you are still riding. I must say, your heart doesn’t seem in it. I know what it is like to get hurt, and trying to make s come back. It happened to me with motocross, i hurt my back, i broke my knee ligaments, and even broke both wrist. But I persevered, and i took it easy, until my confidence began to grow. I think you persevering, and regaining your confidence will make you a better rider than before. I must say, when you did that gap fence jump, that was totally gnarly! Never forget, you were once a bad ass mountain biker, and you can be again, if this is what you want. Cheers from the US, take care Don
Kudos Yuka. Thank you both for sharing the adventures.
Yuka your the best 🙇🏻🙇🏻🙇🏻
respect for you yuka. Even though you have fallen off your bike, you still love cycling
11:32 best part of the video!
You are such an inspiration dudette
Happy to see you chasing summer down under. That dbl blk tech was over my head, so I wouldn't stress it. I just pass on it. I'll watch you guys do it. 🤗
And maydennnnaaaa, legends. Now you should have done some of the spicy Soho trails.
Yuka! YOU ARE A TRUE INSPIRATION!
That fence gap scared the crap out of me! Awesome work on hitting it Yuka!
Love watching you two explore Australia, we may not have the classic North American type of trails but the trails we have present some very unique challenges.
Also I found myself cheering for you Yuka as you rode towards that fence jump, Well done!!!!
Great video, I can't believe you guys tried that fence jump! Amazing!!!
What an awesome video showcasing some trails in tassie! You guys rock....pardon the pun 😄 You are amazing and funny Yuka. My favourite 🤙
Excellent editing on this video and of course excellent riding!
Yo go Yuka...you nailed that fence jump....awesome !!!!!!
You guys are such a fun couple to watch. Cool ride ✌🤙🤟👊🙌
11:37 I just started in MTB and the worst thing that happened to me so far is hitting a rock like this while resetting to try again on a technical climb. I guess it's a lesson that you can never let your guard down, even in the parking lot 😅
this grrrl is over the fence!
Yuko you nailed it yet again! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That fence jump was awesome, go Yuka 🤩
Your a boss,Yuka! That fence would have scared me.
what a great ride yuka 👌🤘💪
Yoooooooo Yuka you're a machine!!!!!!! Good job
Great seeing you recover (:
Awesome Yuka 🤘
I understand the frustration, but I thought he was getting far ahead, and I'M yelling at my TV "match his speed". And You did it. Sore hands i have i slapped them too hard. Love ur vids.
GOOOOO Yuka !!!!! Hell Yeah !!! 👍
I really enjoy your videos, storytelling and personality! I think many people can say the same.
Another excellent vid. 😊👍
Yuka you are AMAZING!!!! 😮
So fucking sick! Been following you guys for so long. I remember when Yuka wasn’t so interested in riding and to watch her now is so inspiring!! Such a bad ass!
Yuka, you're amazing!
Great video Yuka!! You went from a grumpy bear to a flying bird! Maybe we should call you jump girl Yuka!! Great job!!👍
I totally get this. Every once in a while I have to ride Shepherd Mountain bike park to keep me humble. Shep is a lot like the tech trails you three were riding. Steep and incredibly rocky. So much I CAN'T ride there!
Well done on the fence jump Yuka! I don’t think I have the guts to do that😬
最後のフェンス越え、すげぇドキドキした!
ナイスライド!
The wild boar is a little more tame, and that's a good thing. You're doing so well, it's like you never had the injury scare. You have definitely grown as a rider. Stay gnarly!
Hey Yuka!! Love this video, as much as all your others, you are one of my favorite CZcamsrs!! It's amazing to have watched you go from being a shy, timid MTBer who thought twice about every feature, to overcoming your fears and absolutely sending it!! Nice job!! Do you remember when you and your husband Eric went to a private bike park in Georgia, USA called Jarrod's Place? Well guess what... Jarrod's Place is now a full-fledged shuttle access bike park with close to 20 dedicated downhill trails from steep, off-camber, technical, to fast, flowy, a-line style jump lines. I know you're planning to be in Aussie for a while but once you make it back to the states you gotta hit that place up. I also just posted my first CZcams video showcasing a few of those trails if you checked it out that would be amazing!! Keep on sending it Yuka and #neverstopshredding
I saw some clips from Jarrods place and they look insane. I’d love to go back!
2:25 this made me chuckle cause I’m the same way 😂
Yuka you're fan from Philippines here I love you're vlog love it so much 🥰
God dam it, we just missed you guys. Enjoy Tassie.
Amazing! I don't think I'd be brave enough for that fence jump.
Yeewww! Get it Yuka!!
Big time courage!
FUN!
all the way Yuka!!!
I heard you guys were in Tassie around the same time we were. Maybe even at Maydena (19-21 Feb)? Skyline and Tea Trees claimed a few of my tyres and Styx and stones almost claimed me at the very top but what a great trail. I'm releasing individual trails weekly if you'd like to relive some of your trip. Thanks for the awesome content! Heard you caught up with Aidan from Bicycle Curious in Derby, too.
I mean I get it that we all get stressed, but damn if it gets that bad then it's time to rethink the trail choices, lol! Mountain biking is suppose to be fun, and I get it that we all want to progress...but at some point the risk vs reward isn't worth it. Thanks for sharing the real life mtb struggles!
Enduro Squirrel! Dune is the man!
Iron Tor in penguin Tasmania is a fun ride. It's a big climb but super fun flowy descent
what a ride, - congratulation...
you are amazing on jumps! I wish I had the guts :)
Well done on the fence gap ..... It would of been a mental game as if the fence wasn't there you would've just done it 🤘
Wow yuka you just flew over that fence you got more balls then most men 🔥🔥
You are sooo funny. ❤😂😊😮😅 All the best!!!
Great Jump! Tks
Nice ride
Nice! 🔥👏
Yuka you are the best ❤
You are such a BADASS!
Great video.
Nice video, u did it well.
Epic fence jump! The fence made it scary
Surprisingly! If there was no fence, it was way easier 😂
This is the best mtb channel on youtube.
Thanks ❤️
Yuka !!! you got balls...
Yuka you are the best, hope some day you guys decide to come to Puerto Rico
Yuka, you and Eric should go to Queenstown in New Zealand. You guys will enjoy it so much
